One hundred years ago, on May 17, 2025, St. Thérèse was canonized.

Pope Pius XI said in his homily that “the Maid of Lisieux took the resolution of doing all things for love of Jesus, with the sole object of pleasing Him, of consoling His Divine Heart, and of saving a multitude of souls who would love Him eternally.”

Devotees of the saint of the “Little Way” continue to be inspired by her witness of faith and love.

That includes art.

Louisiana-based artist Nichole Lanthier, artist/owner of Nichole Lanthier Art, has noted on her Instagram account that she is inspired by the Little Flower: “St. Thérèse is one of my favorite saints, and I imagine I will never stop drawing/painting her!”

She shared with the Register three of her own favorite renderings of this dear saint, including the main art above.

Other favorites: illustration of St. Therese of Lisieux, with quote: ‘Perfection consists simply in doing God’s will, and being just what he wants us to be’ by St. Therese; drawn digitally, by hand, using an Apple pencil, an iPad, and the Procreate app with pencil and watercolor brushes; and rose-adorned Little Flower(Photo: Nichole Lanthier/Nichole Lanthier Art)

Little Flower, pray for us!
