In Epic Father’s Day Prank, 200 Dads Wear Same Shirt to Mass
Even the parish pastor, Father Edwin Leonard, got in on the action — he is a spiritual father, after all!
Imagine showing up to Mass on Sunday and seeing hundreds of men wearing the exact same shirt. This happened at St. Ann Catholic Parish in Coppell, Texas, after wives pranked their husbands on Father’s Day.
It all started about a week and a half ago, when a small group of moms from the parish had the idea to have their husbands all wear the same polo for Mass on Father’s Day. Before they knew it, the idea that started in a small group chat became a full-blown operation involving 200 moms from St. Ann’s coordinating in secret with one another to pull off the massive look-alike moment.
Kristen Combo, a Catholic mom, content creator and parishioner at St. Ann, shared the video capturing the reactions of the dads on her Instagram page. Other Catholic content creators also took part, including Claire Couche and speaker Jackie Angel.
“Are ya’ll doing a thing?” one dad asks in the video as he pulls into the parking lot and realizes several other men are wearing the same shirt.
You can hear another confused dad say, “There’s another one … what in the world?”

The video already has more than 7 million views.
“What started as a small-group chat turned into a full-blown holy operation," Combo wrote in an Instagram post. “Today was the big reveal … and it did not disappoint. The confusion. The double-takes. The utter denial. And then, the laughter. The courtyard was full of joy, belly laughs, and ‘you too?!’ moments that made it all worth it.”
Even the parish pastor, Father Edwin Leonard, got in on the action — he is a spiritual father, after all!
St. Ann Catholic Parish is one of the largest parishes in the Diocese of Dallas, with over 8,000 families.

The polo given to the fathers was from Sock Religious, a Catholic apparel company that sells socks, tops, stickers and other accessories.
Combo wrote: “To the dads: Thanks for being the best sports. To the moms: We pulled off the most epic Father’s Day surprise ever. And to everyone else: Never underestimate Catholic moms.”
