TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES This 1966 drama won a “Best Picture” Oscar for its portrait of St. Thomas More (1478-1535), who placed his Catholic conscience above King Henry VIII’s tyrannical demands. Paul Scofield was St. Thomas; Robert Shaw and Leo McKern also starred.

Alive in Christ: The Martyrs of the Church

EWTN This episode salutes saints who died for the Blessed Sacrament, including third-century Sts. Tarcisius and Pope Sixtus II, and the 16th-century Gorkum Martyrs (TV-MA).

Fulton J. Sheen: A Voice That Was Raised

EWTN Venerable Archbishop Sheen (1895-1979), whose beatification is moving forward, was a renowned theologian, prolific author, noted convert-maker and immensely popular radio and TV apologist and evangelist. In this series, Franciscan Friars of the Renewal Father Andrew Apostoli (1942-2017) discusses the archbishop’s life and his central themes, including, in March 9’s episode, his still highly relevant warnings about the anti-Christian ideologies of communism, Nazism and fascism.

2026 Milan Cortina Paralympic Winter Games

NBC, CNBC, USA Network Athletes with disabilities will compete in 79 events in alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ice hockey, snowboard and wheelchair curling. The Opening Ceremony on Friday, March 6, is in the Verona Arena and the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, March 15, is in the Cortina Olympic Ice Stadium.
