Wedded to the Truth
Publisher's Note
Our page-one In Person interview with Ryan Anderson of the Heritage Foundation is important because it illustrates why Anderson is one of the country’s most effective articulators on the truth of marriage between one man and one woman.
Anderson is passionate in his defense of marriage, but, as you can see in our interview, he dispassionately lays out what good people are up against in their battle to protect marriage. He clearly outlines what we can do to promote true marriage, including speaking out and standing up for the truth in love.
Anderson does this so well, without moralizing or pointing a damning finger at anyone. It is well worth the read.
With the redefinition of marriage on the verge of being enshrined in the United States, I’m glad there are people like Anderson around to bring common sense to the debate and potentially turn the tide toward the truth: that no matter what people’s emotions dictate or what the secular culture demands, marriage will always be between one man and one woman, “by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1601).
God bless you!
