The Executive Director is the public-facing figure of the Ames Romero House in partnership with the Board of Directors and the Managing Director, the primary internal-facing figure of the House. As such, the responsibilities of this role support the Ames Romero House mission to provide hospitality and live in solidarity with those experiencing poverty, material or spiritual.

Start date is August 15th, and salary is $45,000, full-time, and on-site with benefits.

Responsibilities:

Manages the live-in community

Volunteer Coordination and management

Oversight of all teams and work groups

Organization level fundraising

Ensuring sound financial practices

Assessing adherence to the Mission and Vision

Public, community, and agency relations

Management of programs and advocacy for the mission

Strategic planning

Reporting to the Board of Directors

Necessary Qualifications:

4 Year Degree or equivalent leadership experience

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Problem solving skills and the ability to manage crises well

Capable and willing to work within a challenging and dynamic environment

Charismatic person with approachability in contact with donors and partners

Skill in networking and fostering ongoing collaborative relationships

Ability to fundraise and train others in fundraising

Ability to use a computer 4+ hours a day

Familiarity with Google Suite services, Mailchimp, FellowshipOneGo or demonstrated ability to learn software

Comfortable around animals, including dogs, cats, and chickens

Ultimate trust in the providence of God and goodwill of the community
