Deputy Executive Director

A new vision for Catholic Education in Tasmania

Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) has embarked on a new vision to provide student focused, Christ-centred learning for life. At the heart of that vision is our commitment to providing quality Catholic school curriculum of the highest standard, building an environment that is safe and welcoming, and collaborating with families. Our stated aim is to form Australia’s next generation of Christian citizens, parents and leaders: to take Christ to the world.

Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the state of Tasmania, CET is a system serving 38 Archdiocesan schools, including three Congregational schools. These schools serve over 16,000 students and their families across Tasmania.

This week on Register Radio we are joined by Bishop Kevin Rhoades to explain the importance of the consecration and how we can all take part and then Register senior writer Zelda Caldwell tells us about the remarkable phenomenon of diocesan priests living in community.
