HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:

As the Content Strategist, you will develop and execute digital content strategies that will improve our online audience’s user experience across our digital platforms. You’ll use the latest in user-experience (UX) technology to conduct market research, identify the faith-based needs of our target audience, and shape our content to meet those objectives. Your contributions as the Content Strategist will help improve the user experience, therefore building deeper brand loyalty and increasing user satisfaction and philanthropic support.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Create and implement a digital content plan for delivery across web and other digital channels; maintain a master calendar/schedule with project deadlines and content launch dates.

• Conduct a variety of user research and surveys to determine faith-based content needs; stay abreast of latest industry developments regarding Search Engine Optimization, content taxonomy, metadata, content trends and consumer behavior.

• Determine which formats best communicate various forms of content, identify methods of building brand awareness by conducting keyword research.

• Create a content taxonomy; apply framework to redefine the metadata structure and tagging taxonomy.

• Collaborate with content specialists, digital and social media teams, and freelance writers to produce and distribute engaging, meaningful, and personalized content to our users.

• Ensure content consistency across all digital platforms including websites, social media channels, videos etc; update older content to meet new content standards.

• Perform content audits to assess how well existing content is performing and content gap analyses to determine what type of content is missing and/or needed.

• Provide strategic content guidance in the development and launch of new content channels including the EWTN Online Learning Series, EWTN Learn App, and YouTube.

• Continue governance and optimization, with thorough documentation of audience research, content taxonomy process, and content strategies in support of department objectives.

ABOUT YOU:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in digital content strategy and project management roles.

• You possess a working knowledge of Content Management Systems, keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM).

• You have a grasp of User-Experience (UX) Content Strategy best practices and methods including content taxonomy, metadata, user research, etc.

• You are a practicing Catholic with an understanding of the Catholic faith and an affinity for EWTN’s mission.

• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Liberal Arts or related field.
