TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES This 1952 drama tells the story of Hall of Fame right-handed pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander (1887-1950), who compiled a 373-208 win-loss record in the National League, 1911-1930, despite the aftereffects of wartime trauma. Ronald Reagan is the pitcher, and Doris Day is his indefatigable wife.
