Reel Faith is back! On Fox News! Mother Dolores! New 60s! More!

Last week Reel Faith kicked off our fourth summer season with a bang, with appearances on Fox News and The Catholic Channel. (You can watch our summer season premiere right now at our website — and tune in for our second episode this Friday. More info)

Even better, at Fox News studios in New York, Suzanne, David and I ran into Mother Dolores Hart, the “Hollywood nun” featured in God Is the Bigger Elvis, the Oscar-nominated documentary about how a successful young actress who costarred with Elvis (and, yes, kissed him onscreen) found consecrated religious life more compelling than Tinseltown. (If you haven’t seen it, you should.)

David had already met Mother Dolores — in fact, he’d interviewed her for our show, and she taped a very nice blurb inviting viewers to watch our show! I missed out on that, so it was great for me and for Suz to meet her at Fox News studios.

Mother Dolores, like us, was at Fox for an appearance on “Spirited Debate” with Lauren Green. You can watch our segment online (and Mother Dolores’s as well).

We also appeared on the Busted Halo show with Father Dave Dwyer. (I’m not sure if our spot is available online, perhaps as a podcast; if I find out, I’ll update this post.)

And, of course, we’ve shot two episodes of Reel Faith now. Incidentally, Reel Faith is expanding to new markets! We’re now on Salt and Light TV (Toronto), Telecare TV (Long Island) and CatholicTV (Boston) as well as our own NET (New York Metro area). We’ll also be debuting on Verizon FiOS On Demand shortly after our NET debut.

Meanwhile, here are our latest 60-second reviews: for Epic, Fast & Furious 6, The Hangover Part III, The Great Gatsby, Star Trek Into Darkness and more. (My written review of Epic will appear here at NCRegister.com today…I’ll link to it when it’s available.)

Thanks for watching!
