The Family That Plays Together …

According to an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association, U.S. teens are physically inactive and, as a result, headed toward a host of health problems later on in life. In fact, one sizable study found that fewer than 3% of 15-year-olds get more than two hours of exercise most days. Columnist Kathleen Duff called parents out for the unhealthy state of affairs. “When was the last time you went on a simple bike ride with your kids?” she wrote. “Insisted that the family walk to the store instead of driving? Took a picnic to the playground instead of fast-fooding it?” Play together. Pray together. Stay together.
