Perseverance

Publisher's Note

Thanks to you, the Register continues to form and inform Catholics at a time when print publications are finding a difficult road on which to maintain their readership.

Since EWTN acquired the Register three years ago, we have seen a 65% growth in print subscriptions, and our online and radio presence continues to make significant gains. These results stem from the work of our diligent team, who are dedicated to the Church and committed to delivering to you the news — and the Good News.

Many readers write to us that they came to know about the Register from a friend, who passed along his or her copy. Others picked up an issue left by someone in a doctor’s office. Still others saw their first issue in the entrance to their church, right next to their diocesan newspaper.

Thank you so much for spreading the word. I ask that you continue to support our apostolate, through your subscriptions, donations and especially your prayers. You are an indispensable part of our success.

God bless you!

Palestinian Christians celebrate Easter Sunday Mass at Holy Family Church in Gaza City on March 31, amid the ongoing battles Israel and the Hamas militant group.

People Explain ‘Why I Go to Mass’

‘Why go to Mass on Sundays? It is not enough to answer that it is a precept of the Church. … We Christians need to participate in Sunday Mass because only with the grace of Jesus, with his living presence in us and among us, can we put into practice his commandment, and thus be his credible witnesses.’ —Pope Francis
