Director of Evangelization

 The Director of Evangelization at Saint Patrick will be a full-time position replacing the part-time position of Director of Religious Education. The Director of Evangelization will be responsible for the faith formation (catechesis) program, RCIA, sacramental preparation, evangelization, and discipleship formation in both English and Spanish at our parish. The Director of Evangelization is above all a coordinator, planner, and promoter of evangelization initiatives. More specifically this includes the following the responsibilities.

  Family of Faith: Coordination, promotion, planning, execution, and leadership of volunteers for the Family of Faith program from Sophia Press, which occurs one Sunday a month for two hours in the afternoon for nine Sundays. Responsible for helping to keep parents accountable and motivated in teaching their children.

  RCIA: Coordination, planning, execution, and leadership of volunteers for the RCIA program which will occur one night per month at the parish and three weeks with the Janesville-wide program.

  Youth Ministry: Oversight of the Youth Minister and assistance her with materials and programming as needed.

  Sacramental Preparation: Coordination and planning of First Reconciliation Retreat and First Communion retreat, one Saturday a year for each. 

  Evangelization: Support and assist English and Spanish Evangelization volunteer leads in the following: two eight week Ignite courses (using Search program on FORMED.org), two eight week Inflame courses (using and developing materials), two English Ignite Retreat Weekends, one English Inflame Retreat Weekends, one Spanish Inflame Retreat Weekends, two Spanish Emaús Retreat Weekends. 

  Small Groups: Support for independent small groups.

  Continuing Adult Education: Provide at least one advanced adult faith formation course each year.

  This position requires strong organization and the ability to communicate well in English and Spanish, in spoken and written forms. 

  This full-time position with a salary range of $50,000 to $60,000 requires working some weekends and evenings as needed. Includes paid holidays, vacation and sick days, and health benefits that can be negotiated.
