Bolivian Bombing
The residence of Cardinal Julio Terrazas Sandoval of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, was bombed earlier today.
The bomb attack caused minor damage and did not injure anyone, CNN reported. The cardinal was not at home at the time of the 12:30 a.m. attack.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
But CNN notes in its report about the incident that current Bolivian President Evo Morales is a vituperative critic of the Church. In February, Morales said the Bolivian Church is “the main enemy” of his leftist political agenda and should replaced.
