Beauty and Brains
The above video shows Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean giving the marriage-affirming answer that likely cost her the Miss USA crown last weekend.
Prejean’s defense of the institution of marriage — and the nasty post-pageant reaction to her comments by the homosexual Hollywood gossip blogger and Miss USA pageant judge who posed the question about her views on same-sex “marriage” — has generated national controversy.
Donald Trump, co-owner of the Miss Universe Organization that produces the Miss USA pageant, said on the “Today” show that Prejean’s answer “probably did cost her the crown.”
Faced with continued invective from gossip columnist Perez Hilton, Prejean said calmly during a MSNBC interview today, “I can only say that I will be praying for him.”

Asked at the conclusion of the MSNBC interview if she would give a different answer if she had a chance to do the pageant competition over, Prejean said, “I would have answered it the same way. I maybe would have given a little bit more detail on what I feel about it and given a bit more explanation, but bottom line, I believe marriage should be between a man and a woman. And he asked me my opinion, and I gave it to him.”
