St. Gianna’s Guide to Happiness
Five joyful quotes from a beloved saint.
As I have written about before, St. Gianna is one of my favorite saints.
For her feast day today, I offer five of my favorite quotes of hers (although a more comprehensive list of quotes can be found here:)
“As to the past, let us entrust it to God’s mercy, the future to divine Providence. Our task is to live holy the present moment.”
“The secret of happiness is to live moment by moment and to thank God for all that he, in his goodness, sends to us day after day.”
“We must be living witnesses of the beauty and grandeur of Christianity.”

“Love is the most beautiful sentiment the Lord has put into the soul of men and women.”
By living the truth of these statements, the pro-life pediatrician, wife and mother fulfilled Jesus’ command in the readings for today: “Remain in my love.” She indeed found complete joy, too. May we do so as well, by following her example — today and always.
