COMMENTARY: The Vatican has appointed the longtime Register contributor as the new national director of the Pontifical Missions Societies in the United States, which provides charitable outreach to 1,100 mission territories throughout the world.
In addition to prelates, priests, and religious, 643 Spanish laypeople participate in this evangelization effort.
