EWTN Fifty days after Easter comes Pentecost, the feast of the Church’s birthday, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary. At 4am, live, Pope Francis will say the Solemn Mass of Pentecost in St. Peter’s Basilica, with the Regina Caeli following. Re-airs at noon. At 6am, in Holy Spirit at Work in the Church: Pentecost and the New Pentecost, Father Andrew Apostoli of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal describes the Holy Spirit’s action throughout Church history. At 2pm, in Meditations on Pentecost, Father Apostoli discusses the first Pentecost and the work of the Holy Spirit today, including the sacrament of confirmation.

For this Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, Pope Francis will celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. John Lateran and preside over the annual Eucharistic Procession to the Basilica of St. Mary Major, where he will offer Benediction. Re-airs at midnight. At 4pm, Children of the Eucharist tells the story of an Irish group that teaches children about adoration as a way to help prepare them for first Communion.
