A motive for the abortion crowd that gets overlooked is that they support it not so that their wives and daughters can get abortions but that other peoples’ wives and daughters can get them.

My wife got an abortion when she was 17 and to this day proclaims that it was the best decision she could have made.  She is from a poor family and couldn’t afford to raise a child, nor did she want to have one.  She was just another dumb kid with bad parents who went to parties and made mistakes.  She’s a different person now, at 32, but doesn’t regret abortion nor does she condemn those who seek to have one performed on themselves.  Anyway, what does a woman getting a procedure performed by her doctor have to do with anybody else?  If the doc isn’t paid for with public funds then why is it any of your business?  It’s their bodies and it’s not like they will come door to door and ask you wife or kids to have an abortion.  It is simply available to those that seek one.  McDonalds peddles dangerous poisons, but I don’t have to eat there.

Obviously the Catholic point of view has some problems with bi-polar disorder.  It paints the barbarism of abortion as Capitalism thus painting legitimate capitalists as criminals.

Perhaps if the Catholic Church would stop supporting abortion then it would have credibility.  The Catholic Church supports people like Kerry, Pelosi and (formerly) Ted Kennedy.  All of these so called Catholics support abortion and fight for a woman’s right to have them.  The Church overlooks this because of the bigger goal of Social Justice which is another theme foreign to Jesus Christ and true believers.  Supporting people who believe in abortion is support for abortion, plain and simple.  If you fail to speak out and take a stand against it and those who support it then you are giving tacit approval.

Unfortunately, the Catholic Church is so mired in evil that it condones or hides priests who commit pedophilia and supports abortion.

When the Church gets back to its roots and stops looking for social justice and government intrusion into our lives then it might stop losing members and have legitimacy on these issues.

Until then, we can only shake our heads and wonder what kind of drugs the Church is using….

Yeah, but Dave McDonald’s doesn’t kill people when it provides a service. Saying abortion is nothing but a procedure is to hide from the reality that you are killing someone. The baby has its own DNA unique to it. It’s not just the mother’s body. The baby has a body too. This is simple biology. It’s not a moral gray area. It’s killing pure and simple. Making excuses for killing is like saying it’s OK to have killed the Jews during the Holocaust because they were not human.

It’s funny how C.S.Lewis is both understated and powerful. I read anecdotally that he said we never can be worthy of heaven, and infanticide is proof of this. Having said that, personally I don’t like this generation of kids. Does this make me a hypocrite? I don’t know. I just hate killing for political purposes. This is true: We don’t deserve heaven, none of us.

You sir are 100% correct in this artical. This reminds me of Fredrick Douglas and how he talked of slavery as a system that creates the conditions for abuse to take place. I think the Pope just gave Pelosi a book on Catholic Ethics, and refused to pardon Ted Kennedy before he died by saying that Ted’s actions were appropriate.  Secondly, the church calls for an instillation of virtue, not government programs, and leaves it up to the laymen to figure out the structure. 

I think if anyone is leaving the Church it’s because they haven’t done their homework.

Child abuse is a horrible crime.  Abortion is the worst kind of child abuse since it always ends in death.  Not only did this man murder, but then he disrespected the corpses.  I wonder if all the people who rightfully condemn any kind of child abuse also condemn abortion.  The child abuse in the Catholic Church was a horrible scandal that is being addressed now, though that is NOT an excuse. But for the most part, Catholics are consistent in their views on abortion and, while the clergy have not condemned Pelosi, Kerry, etc. as vocally as they should, the Catholics I know all condemn them quite vocally.

your argument only makes sense to those who share your ideology. Pro-lifers see the unborn child as equal to a living child. Pro-lifers do not differentiate a baby in the womb from one outside of the womb. To them, calling it a medical procedure doesn’t change the fact that a mother is murdering her baby and because the baby has no voice of its own its up to society to protect the life of that child.

Despite the fact that they have not excommunicated them countless bishops and the pope himself have spoke out against them, by name. In fact both Pelosi and Reid have been denied communion in the past because of political views that go against church teaching.

And to all other men who want to write on behalf of their wives, daughters or mothers who underwent abortions, please don’t speak for them.  Let them raise their own voices, since their absence indicates a non desire to support abortion.  Just as men are not allowed to oppose abortion on the basis that it is a woman’s decision, men should not b the voice of women who supposedly support abortion after having had one or more.  Let’s face it, the real affect of abortion (other than the killing of almost 50,000,000 unborn human babies) is to make sex outside of marriage almost risk free - with the exception of the man’s spouse finding out about it.  As for whether or not a baby in utero is a person, a famous Sports Illustrated swimsuit model (whose name I presently cannot recall) said it all when she argued that if 50% of babies are male, they must be separate persons since the mother, by definition, cannot have his penis.

Dave, it’s sad and sick how your wife has no remorse for basically committing murder at the age of 17. Without her child’s consent, the baby’s life was forced to end so that she can somehow “correct” her mistake . What a selfish act!

Your wife was willing to sleep with other men and boys at 17, but she was not willing to save and value the life of an innocent human being out of the fear that she would not have enough money or time to deal with a mistake that she committed. Whether it was the quest for gold, the desire to maintain an agrarian plantation economy, the justification to take land and assets from others or a desire to perpetuate a billion dollar abortion industry, there was a monetary motive present in every case.

you may not read this, but I hope that you and your wife one day hear it from someone:  I’m 36 and never met my biological mother, but I’m VERY happy with the choice she made when she was only 16.  I cry when I think of all the kids like me who never got a chance to live b/c “someone couldn’t handle a kid at that time.”  It’s only nine months and you could change people’s lives for the better, forever.

There are alternatives, but “open adoption” scares so many young girls who don’t want to think about a lifetime of worrying about getting that call.  I hope that pregnant girls would consider adoption, but I think the “open adoption” movement of the past 30 years has pushed a good number of them into abortion as a viable alternative.  We need to go back to protecting the privacy of the birth mother.  Isn’t THAT a women’s rights issue, too.

To clarify- excommunication is not something that is generally made public. Even if any of the above-mentioned Democrats were excommunicated by their local priest, it would not necessarily be known to others. Furthermore, excommunication is something that is done by the person- it doesn’t need an official Church stamp any more.

The Catholic Church is Pro-Life in all of its stages. Which is why the Church is anti-contraception, because contraception blocks the creation of life.

People who are Pro-Abortion are pro-death. They’re following in the Nazi, Maoist, Communist, and other totalitarian systems of controlling the population.  Who is most likely to need an abortion? While abortion is horrific and one of the greatest abominations of modern humanity, I will say this: an unwanted child that grows up bouncing from foster home to foster home is more prone to grow up being a criminal. “Against abortion-don’t have one.”  Well, I can regretfully say that at the age of 17, my parents did not want the “shame” of their daughter giving birth out of wedlock, so they toted me off to their doctor who took care of “the problem”.  At the age of 57, I still regret the fact I was not stronger and hadn’t taken a stand for the rights of the unborn child I wanted.  I had problems having children after that, and both of the children God blessed me with are very much loved and wanted.  (When I was 23 and found out I was pregnant and had been a positive test for Lupus, the doctors wanted to do an early term abortion rather than a late term abortion because it would be such a high risk pregnancy.  I had found Jesus Christ just a few months before and I was willing to let my child live and God have me so that my son could serve God - God in His mercy and grace healed me of the lupus.  Today, my 33 year old son can not say “I never wanted him.”  Because I stood strong and refused what man said had to happen, and God had his way.  Now I say “Abortion-been there-done that-AGAINST IT!!”  The world will stand before God in judgement and every man and woman with the innocent blood of the unborn on their hands, will give account for their evil acts, and no matter what flimsy excuse they try to sway God, God will not forgive them unless they have sought that forgiveness and TURNED from their wicked ways.  Thank God the child I was too weak to stand up for and give life, is with God in heaven.

Babies are perfectly formed and only grow larger and more developed in the womb.  At 5 months gestation, they can live outside the womb with help of incubator..so what was in those jars IS REAL BABIES!  This spiritually blind notion of the left/liberals/democrats that a life isnt a life until its born is a joke.  How dumb do you have to be to try and rationalize murder.  Would any of these women who think this way with their pro choice nonsense, come in a slash a apart a 5 month gestation baby in a hospital incubator??  Most likely not, so why then is it so ok with them to murder them at any stage?  I dont get it.  There is no excuse in this day and age of technology..where you can not only see a baby fetus at even 8 weeks gestation is perfect in form.  heartbeats are detectable a week after conception!  there are 4D sonograms, there are multiple forms of birth control…  There is NO excuse to kill a child.  Whether abortions are legal or not..is not the point. Bryan, I agree. Yes, I know that sugar is more enticing than vinegar, but his obliviousness concerning abortion did not deserve to be sugar-coated. Sometimes people need to a good slap in the face to bring them back to reality. I didn’t post my first message in order to convert him to the truth. I posted what I did, because I know that there are very few people out there that will change their position on abortion based on what other people may post online. The only possible reason I can think of for them doing this unimaginable act would be the gross possibility that the distraught mother might return one day hoping for the savaged babies body so she could have a similitude of a funeral; then, THE ANIMAL COULD TRY TO NEGOTIATE FOR THE HIGHEST PRICE.  They should be, not on death row! In the death chamber.

People shouldn’t attack Dave or his wife for not regretting her abortion, because Dave and she don’t understand what really happened.  At 17, without support and not wanting a child, Dave’s wife was absolutely right not to attempt to raise an unwanted baby.  What is sad is that she did not carry the child to term and place the baby for adoption.  Society puts a lot of pressure on women to have abortions or to be noble, heroic single moms.  In contrast, placing a child for adoption is seen as shameful and awful.  Some people do not understand adoption and confuse it with bad step-parent situations, or mistakenly believe that genetic strangers cannot love a child who is not “theirs” or that their biological child will hate them for the adoption. Perhaps negative attitudes toward adoption are more prevalent in poor families?  Personal attacks on Dave and his wife won’t help; they will have to reach the point where they realize there was another option besides abortion.

Its fairly stunning how the AP and most newspapers have sanitized the horror of the actual story.  The NY Daily News has a two paragraph story that mentioned only that the young woman’s uterus was perforated.  Other news outlets mostly ignored the story; very few reported the 35 corpses being found by cops.

Until these horrors are brought to public attention and that brutality and violence of abortion is more widely known, we will never change a culture that thinks it has the “right” to “choose” to butcher an unborn human being.

M, yes, you do make a good point; however, I am upset that Dave and his wife are a lot older now and are no longer 17-years-old, but still have the need to justify murdering innocent children as a convenient solution for ending up with an unwanted pregnancy because of sex.

Those of you on here harping about the womans choice about what happens with her body. The lifestyle and choices they made resulted in the pregnancy. Except in the case of rape they willingly engaged in activity that resulted in pregnancy. If I eat too many cheeseburgers I get fatter. If I drink alcohol I get drunk. I get so sick of hearing people who run around like spoiled children who won’t take responsibility for their actions.

Dave - As I read your post, I get the strong feeling that you don’t know where to stand on what your wife has done.  I also got myself pregnant when I had just turned 17.  I knew right from the beginning that I was going to keep her.  My mom did try to persuade me to have an abortion but I refused… then got kicked out of the house.  It was very difficult for me, and for a very long time.  My baby girl is now 25 and works in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) of a hospital taking care of preemies.  Now I cry because of the joy I feel and the beauty I see in her.  She is worth every bit of what I have ever endured, and more.  Your wife will have a hard time admitting to herself the mistake she made.  Once she does, she will have to deal with excruciating pain and sorrow from her loss.  But then she will begin to heal.  Then she can help others make the right choice by sharing her story as an example.  You need to be her greatest support system.  I will pray for you both.

To those who continually insist it is the woman’s body and therefore her choice, let me ask who is the one that has their life terminated? This child although not developed has rights as well. If a monkey, a dog, a lab rat has rights and must be protected why do humans deserve any less protection? The author is correct. We have a fetish with death AND a complete disregard for humanity. When humans no longer have a regard and respect for life and its own humanity, it ceases to be worth anything. The unborn have no voice and no protections. But an animal has more. A woman can choose to murder and society labels this a choice. A life is terminated due to nothing more than selfishness rather than a right. If a fetus is killed and the woman wanted it, society labels this murder. If a fetus is killed and the woman does NOT want it, it is considered a choice to end a pregnancy. Human life is not precious. It is a matter of convenience. With such an attitude, we saw Nazis and Communists end other lives as a matter of convenience as well. If a fetus potentially “burdens” society, it is better to kill it. Should the same apply for the old? The infirm? Those in comas? Paraplegics? The logic used to defend abortion is pathetic excuses - burdens? Cost? Hindrances? Interferences?

ToddC, I used to be a Mormon for many years, but left the church because I found out that the church and its founder was based on a foundation on lies and deceit. Anyway, I just wanted to point out that most Mormons ,a.k.a. Latter-day Saints, within the church in southern California do not think highly of Harry Reid. For the most part, he is a liberal Democrat, but I think that he actually does oppose abortion. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a strict policy against abortion and view it as a sin and an abomination. I’m pretty sure that any Mormon politician that publicly supports and encourages abortion will end up reported to their local leaders and might end up excommunicated.

A mistake? Running a stop sign is a mistake. Running late for work is a mistake. Having an abortion is simply murder. I am not a just or moral man, but I cannot convince myself abortion is less than murder of our children. We cannot expect God’s grace or mercy when we murder our children.  Calling a man who performs abortions an “abortion doctor” is like calling a trash truck driver a sanitation engineer. Call is what it is. By law, every abortion clinic should have a large sign stating “Baby killer for hire. For services, apply within.”.

For many years as a teenager and young man, I believed that I didn’t and shouldn’t have much say in what a woman did with her own body.  In short, I supported (at least passively) the right of a woman to have an abortion. 

However as I’ve gotten older and fought in two wars, I’ve come to realize that no man (or woman) has the “right” to end another’s life, no matter what.  Sometimes you may have a duty to do so, but it should be carefully thought out and considered before it is done, even in the case of the worst of hardened murderers (and even then, I do not believe it will deter anyone, though it definitely prevents recidivism).  How much more carefully should it be considered in the case of an innocent who, by definition, has done and could have done no wrong (disregarding the concept of “original sin” which bears no relevance since the Abortionists have never used it to justify their murderous habits anyway)?

Forgive my ignorance on the subject of Mormons, but do they take communion?  I really don’t know.  More over, I don’t know the that the term “ex-communicated” would be the same for a Catholic as it is for a Mormon.  Catholics ex-communicate themselves by going against the Churches teaching and doctrines (participating in abortions, e.g.), do Mormons do the same?  Please fill me in, I am very curious!

I know it is not Church teaching, but reading what persons who have gone through NDE’s say, we all will suffer all the pain we have inflicted upon others in this life. This has grim repercussions not only for for Hitler and his ilk, but also abortionists. Will they have to suffer all the pain they have inflicted upon the unborn? Will they have to be dismembered thousands of times? Will they have to be killed chemically thousands of times? Only God can judge. But it should give everyone pause.

The motives one ascribes to others usually reveal much more about oneself than about those one is observing. So maybe you’re the hateful one.

Dave, assuming you and your wife beleive in some form of afterlife or accountability, does she ever think about how she will asnwer for her actions?  When she is standing before God, or before that aborted child, how will her answer stand up?  That the child’s life wasn’t worth the inconvenience?  That a few minutes of carnal fun was worth snuffing out a life?  That her irresponsibility justifies killing her own baby.  In the quiet moments of your lives, do you or her ever consider that? 

On a different note entirely, the history of mythology and folklore is filled with tales of witches and evil cabals who sacrificed babies in their wicked rituals.  Babies have always symbolized the most innocent and pure aspect of humanity.  What would someone 100 or 200 years ago think of us today if we descibed to them the appalling combination of ritual baby sacrifices and industrialism which characterizes the abortion industry.  It’s hard not to imagine demonic forces gleefully receiving their sacrifice everytime an abortionist performs their work.

I have pity and empathy for the women that make this terrible choice.  It is not an easy one to make but for them at least, it is a relatively clean and simple procedure with little physical evidence left to remind them of what they have done.  In time they can forget perhaps.

But for those that perform the procedure I have nothing but disgust and revulsion.  Think for a minute what kind of person goes to work each and every day and willingly kills and mutilates unborn babies, albeit in the name of ‘medicine’?  If your neighbor killed just one kitten the same way you would scream and demand that he be jailed and punished.  It would rightly be seen as the depraved act of a sadistic violent criminal.  But in this case, people go to work every day and kill multiple babies for profit and we give them recognition and respect as medical professionals.  They go home to their families and eat dinner with a smile on their face like nothing happened.  Meanwhile they spent the day shredding and vacuuming tiny babies from their mother’s womb.  And yes, some actually keep these dead babies in jars in their facility.  Is this so they can go back and relive the moment they killed this infant over and over again?  Are these trophies?  What makes these people any different from the serial killers that plague our society?  Nothing. 

John Wayne Gacy should have gone to medical school and become an abortionist.  He would still be performing his grisly feats day in and day out with no fear of prosecution, and in fact getting filthy rich at the same time.

In the end, the ‘concept’ of abortion and abortion rights is a moral and intellectual argument with opposing viewpoints that are easily argued.  However, someone still has to actually ‘do’ the killing, someone has to clean up the bits of torn flesh and mangled tiny bodies.  Someone has to clean up the blood and waste and prepare the killing room for the next ‘procedure’.  How are these individuals any different from the ready willing guards at Treblinka, or Auschwitz, or the killing fields in Cambodia, or Uganda, or the Gulags in Soviet Russia?

We ask how such terrible atrocities could ever have taken place…  Did nobody notice?  How could seemingly normal people have done such things?  Yet right here under our noses these individual acts of murder and violence are committed every day in our own towns and cities with our full knowledge and acceptance.

This post is for Dave and all persons who think like him.  Dave, you have a problem with your reasoning.  Your first fallacy is to use the sentiments of your wife, or any other person, as if they prove something.  They do not.  What you have said about your wife only reveals something of your wife and contributes nothing to making an argument.  This is the fallacy of subjectivism, which basically says since I give approval for something, then, that something is right.

The second and bigger problem in your post is to argue as if there are only two persons involved in an abortion, the woman and the abortionist.  There is at least one more person and that is the about-to-be-born person.  An abortion prevents a baby from being born by killing the baby.  This should be a concern to everyone.  The killing of the about-to-be-born certainly is a concern to some Americans who have contributed time or money or both to making adoption, not abortion, the solution to a woman’s feeling of unwanted motherhood.

If you really want to employ “social justice” as Jesus really meant it look up Pope John Paul II’s take on the principle of subsidiarity.  Social justice is up to us as Christians and family members and community members to engage in.  The principle of subsidiarity suggests those who are closest to the problem at hand are better able to handle it.  The federal government is much better able to take care of national defense as it affects all of us.  Feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, clothing the naked is better left to those of us who are neighbors, family and friends of our suffering brothers and sisters.  This is exactly what Christ exhorted us to do, as in “what you do for the least of these you do for me.” He didn’t ask Caesar to develop welfare programs or school lunch programs to tend to the needy.  Liberals and progressives have replaced social justice with social engineering, and left us with a terrible mess.

This post is for Jim who thinks similarly to Dave.  What you have failed to recognize and have yet to deal with is that an abortion takes away free choice and everything else from an about-to-be-born person.  That is so because an abortion kills a living human being.  You need to deal with the reality that in an abortion at least three persons are involved: the mother, the abortionist, and an about-to-be-born person.

There’s a funny sort of irony with this article appearing in a Catholic news site, considering the Catholic church’s stance on contraceptives only increase the need for abortions and subsequently, the rise of of incompetent medical practitioners who capitalize on the demand.

While you assert that abortion is horrific and heinous, you then go on to condone the practice because of hypothetical instances of crime, lack of love, and becoming a voter for the Democrats. The first two examples you purport are absurd because it assumes the child would be unwanted and neglected when the fact of the matter is many, if not most, abortions happen because of intimidation and power plays, in other words it is not a willing heartfelt act. Additionally, in considering the child’s termination it is not an ipso facto that the offspring would be reviled and lacking love or care later; I have no idea of your experience but I know people who considered killing their child, and love and are grateful for the the child all the more due to understanding in a very tangible way all that could have never been. As for the argument that said unaborted children could become criminals, ask yourself if one is justified to randomly kill someone on a street corner become some day they may break some law. The fact of the matter is one does not know, the murderer would be playing God, and, naturally, killing that person is a crime and wrong. The last argument on voting I will not even deem to respond to except to state that if you know people who were minutes away from being legally exterminated, they tend to not like the Democrats party platform on abortion - - for some reason they take it rather personal that said party was a cheerleader in getting them killed. Lastly I feel compelled to state that suggesting it less wrong to kill someone because the may vote for someone with a D

Rob:  If you look at the statistics over the last 40 to 50 years regarding abortions and contraceptive use you will find your premise is completely misguided.  As contraceptive use has increased, so has the rate of abortions.  Go figure!

You are right.  Jason and others who think like him have the wrong perspective.  They see a pregnant woman who gets an abortion and say unwanted child.  The reality is that a woman who gets an abortion is suffering from unwanted motherhood.  There are millions of Americans in the USA actively doing something to save the about-to-be-born humans; many even adopt.

A scientists perspective: 
I am a biologist/molecular biologist/geneticist and from a purely objective biological perspective, abortion (killing in the womb) is no different that killing any other human being.  When sperm and egg unite a unique genetic program is instantly activated that results in an infinitely complicated sequence of interdependent countless genetic, biochemical, and developmental events that will (unless interupted) result in the formation of a unique human being.  This awesome and unique developmental program, genetically pre-defined, is how human life becomes manifest.  This awesome life process, from the moment of conception to birth to puberty to death, is a continuum.  There are no natural stopping points in human (or animal) embryological development and birth, no convenient boundaries delineating where life begins, there is no natural separation between a “fetus” and a “baby”.  Defining a “fetus” is a system that cannot live on its own outside the womb, or is not fully developed, etc. is idiotic at best.  An “infant” cannot live on its own and sustain itself; many old folks need constant assistance to survive on their own; etc.

Human conception activates a unique genetic program that will result in the development of a unique human being.  That’s biological fact.  Is it not a human being a day before birth, and then a human being the moment of birth?  And therefore NOT murder the day before birth?  Not murder a month before birth?  Three months before birth? Etc.  Who draws the artifial line?  And why? 

From a purely biological perspective (ignoring the theological) life clearly begins at the moment of conception when sperm and egg unite and the awesome genetic (differential gene expression, epigenetic imprinting, etc.) and development (cell/tissue/organ differentiation, etc.) program of that unique human being is initiated. “Choosing” to ignore this very basic biological fact is the only “choice” the “pro-choice” mentality involves.  The “choice” to delude oneself (feign ignorance) in order to rationalize a self-centered expediency.  For some people self-delusion is acceptable however.  We see the results of this abject stupidity all around us. 

As a biological scientist I honor objectivity, facts, and honest rigorous debate as a means to make the most informed decisions and choices possible.  I strive to keep my integrity and self-respect intact, and thus will never support abortion as a birth control procedure (in fact, >95% of abortions are performed simply for birth control).  We all see a world of increasing self-degradation, loss of basic respect for others, and destruction of civilizing values and institutions that have advanced humans far beyond any other species on earth.  It is therefore important we strive to protect our most cherished human values, our integrity and honor for life, our insatiable thirst for truth and knowledge, and our sense of common purpose.

All human life begins at the moment of conception when a unique genetic program is initiated and set in motion - time and physical space begin at that moment for that human being, and both will end at some point when that individual dies.  To terminate this unique life at any point after conception occurs is to terminate a human life.  This is a hard, indisputable scientific fact. 

When we kill animals, is it murder?  No, it is not.  Murder is a legal term that involves the intentional killing of a human being.  Is terminating a human life in the womb murder?  Yes, of course it is.  Is murder justified in some instances?  That is a question each of us must answer, but please don’t delude yourself by denying hard biological facts when it comes to what a human life is, and when human life begins.

The vast majority of the Catholic hierarchy seems to believe that the sanctity of life ends at birth.  These hypocrites cry and wail about the loss of aborted life, but shuffle predatory pedophile priests around and cover up their horrific crimes.  How many tens of thousands of childrens’ lives have been irreversibly damaged by these monstrous ministers?  If The Church truly believed in the sanctity of life, they would take decisive, direct, and unambiguous steps to show conclusively that this behavior is unacceptable.  For some reason, the Church says through its actions that pedophilia is acceptable, but same sex marriage is not.  My advice:  clean up your own house before you turn your accusations on others who may or may not share your beliefs.  Or in the words of our Lord and Savior, Hypocrite, first remove the board from your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the splinter from your brother’s eye.

With respect to abortion and CONTRACEPTION (ie birth control pill, condoms, etc), what is particularly sad, poignant and depressing is that we will ALL have to face God come Judgment Day, and stare into the eyes of the children we have aborted or contracepted away.  We will have to explain to God why we REFUSED the gift of life He very much wanted us to have, and we will have the evidence right before our eyes:  all of our beautiful little children staring up at us and saying… “Mom and Dad, all I wanted was to be loved.  You killed me because you thought I would be a burden to you, but you didn’t stop to consider all the happiness and love we could have shared together.  In the end, you hurt both of us.”

Natural family planning is perfectly within the context of God’s Laws, and we will never have to explain to God or our children why we killed them.

Wow, I guess you’ve cornered the market on the truth!  Catholic teaching has never wavered on it’s teaching of the sanctity of *ALL* human life.  It is the Church that has, throughout history, been the driving force in feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, housing the homeless and educating the masses.  Who do you think started our universities and hospitals?  Pedophilia is an atrocious crime and those who commit it should be punished.  I don’t think anyone will argue with you there.  We are all humans prone to sin and error.  I am sorry we can’t all live up to the standards you’ve set before us, RC. The story clearly states that there were identifiable babies in the freezer. Why are there never pictures to go along with the story? How can people judge the child they’ve never seen?

I had an abortion at 19. Completely middle class, good student. My mother pressured me to do it, and my doctors strongly suggested that I do it. It was wrong, even with all the extenuating circumstances attached to it. I know this, but I also know that Christ died for my sins. I’ve repented. But to act like it’s only the woman’s right to choose is wrong. It takes two to make the baby. The feminists out there wanted yet another way to try to “out do” the man in society. I have two beautiful children now, but I had two miscarriages as well. I think that the author has made an incredible point that maybe we are finally coming full circle. ToddC, Mormons have what is called sacrament and it is the equivalent of communion within the Catholic church. Members will partake of water and bread every Sunday in remembrance of the blood and body of Christ. All of this takes place during their Sunday meetings which is called sacrament meeting and it is the equivalent of mass for the Catholic church. In regards to your other question—yes, members will have to go through interviews to see if they are worthy enough to be a member in good standing. A politician—Harry Reid, for example, would be considered for excommunication if he went out and supported abortion. When a Mormon is excommunicated, it means that their membership records are removed as if they were never baptized and confirmed as members of the Mormon church. Hope all of that satisfied your curiosity! Oh, and for those that are reading about all of this: if you do plan on studying about Mormonism or the Mormon church, read all the books and information available about it. I used to hold many leadership positions within the church, but left the church because I could no longer blindly follow the lies that were being taught as the truth. It is a church that is built on a foundation of lies and most of the members are unaware of the actual history of the church. It’s a great church with great members, but the founder of the church was basically a scam artist that got away with lying to members by perverting the Gospel of Christ. Anyway, it is safe to say that Mormons are extremely anti-abortion and see it as murdering an innocent unborn child of God.

Some powerfull postings here.  The Catholic church is straight forward with it’s views against abortion, war, the death penalty, and many other controversial issues.  There’s no grey area about abortion.  When I was younger, a friends’ sister announced to her family, “Here’s the deal, I’m pregnant, it’s too late for an abortion, so I’m going to have the baby and give it up for adoption.”  She kept the child and now she’s proud of her young man who’s now a Marine and a father himself.  Recently, my sister-in-law’s daughter gave birth to a child at 16, aborted another, and now is ready to give birth again.  No remorse, no morals, and the basis for the initial decisions is convenience?  When you have the likes of these libs running the country, it’s embarrassing to say you’re American. We’ve made so many mistakes in our past, but this “right” is not.

This article was really gut wrenching. It made me think of a young woman that I saw the other day. She had a voluntary abortion, after ‘swallowing’ all the pro= choice propaganda about abortion. ( i.e so easy, safe, etc.) She developed a severe pelvic infection that was never dealt with by her abortion provider.She was told she was just depressed. Now she will likely lose her uterus and of course will never be able to have more children. Abortion has more consequences than just the taking of the one life. I doubt many of the abortion statistics ever reflect episodes like this.

belle: just fyi: abortion providers are very very frequently, marginal or fringy. Many do it to supplement their income in ob gyn when they first get started. The ‘popularity’ of abortion services has drastically fallen off as 3D and 4D ultrasound has become available and providers ( I hate to call them physicians) can see the baby/fetus withdraw in pain as their body parts are grasped by instruments to be pulled apart. Most practioners cannot handle this day in day out.It is psychologically draining as it should be. Abortion providers will never be the creme de la creme.Very few doctors have actually been murdered, but this aside,legal or no, people who do this ‘service’ will never be of the highest quality, as you can imagine.( it is murder for higher dear)

I saw paperwork on the desk when my social worker went out of the room, the adopting parents paid/“donated” $60,000. for my child, a blonde-haired blue-eyed boy.  1982. I was raped and beaten near death by an intruder (black criminal)in my home, and AFTER INTENSE THOUGHT, I had an abortion 11 weeks later.  So I can talk; I have been there, done that.  the one thing I will never judge any woman on is:  abortion vs adoption. I have ENDURED BOTH thru no fault of my own.  both “options” stink,  but my life as a Survivor was better for surviving BOTH events.

The argument that ‘it’s a woman’s body and it’s her choice’ is complete BS!  At no time does a woman have two skulls, two hearts or two brains!  And it certainly isn’t the woman’s skull being stabbed or her brain that is getting sucked out of the back of said skull and it is definitely not her heart that stops beating when the murder is committed.  And as for the whole mistake argument, well hell yes you made a mistake and when you make a mistake you take RESPONSIBILITY for it no matter how big it is.  You certainly don’t kill the child because you couldn’t exercise a little self control. While this article dripped with alinsky manipulation from a progressive soros influenced catholic pseudo site, I feel the need to share my role reversal after an elective abortion. 

I used to be a lifelong democrat and a big time feminist who thought and acted just the way the democrats planned I would.  Life was good and I only lived by my own standards.  Not to say that I gave up on churc,h but I had an progressive mind who thought that God’s plan was more like a cafeteria plan where I picked and chose the plan that fit me best.  I was cocky and uninformed.  In other words I was young and stupid.  I found myself dating a great single guy who was mostly conservative on the outside but more of a wild spirit on the inside. 

He was perfect for me and we talked of marriage after a short time of dating.  Of course sex was no big deal after the first date.  I had some morals ya know.  As expected I ended up pregnant and on my 30th birthday chose somewhat reluctantly to have an abortion. 

That was the worst decision of my life.  It hit me like a ton of bricks and the man I was to marry was no support at all.  I ended up pregnant again and refused to kill a second child.  The hate from his father was terrible and we ended up on opposite ends of the nation.  I had my son, but I have a hard time with the terrible lonely depression that came after my abortion.

With no where to turn I ended up with years of soul searching.  Feminist thought I was silly for being depressed and I was to scared to be judged by prolifers.

I have never found a woman who thought their abortion was the best decision for them.  EVERYONE has doubts to some degree, and any jerk who tells you otherwise is lying or just does not listen to his wife.  Stop bashing on the woman.  Question the judgement and honesty of the jerks, not to metion this author and this web site.

Can we please call these “abortionists” what they really are? They are serial killers, plain and simple. They are not noble people who go into medicine to help unfortunate women; they are twisted sadists who choose this as their career in order to feed their need to murder. These revelations about the serial killers keeping the bodies of their victims as trophies should not surprise anyone.

Rape is an entirely different animal all together!  My statements do not pertain to that situation at all.  The problem comes when you have stupid people making stupid choices, and then looking for an easy out!  When a rape is involve it changes the dynamic of the argument as well as the context of an abortion.  When a woman is raped she isn’t carrying that child for 6 months wondering to herself ‘gee should I keep it or not?’.  When a rape occurs the victim is given a pill or a shot to terminate the pregnancy before the fetus has time to developed.

I have to wonder how many Date-Rapes and Rapes are unreported because cruel thoughtless people might have thought they were “faked”.  I was lucky in my case, in 1973 my nose was broken, my eyes were battered shut,  and I was left with no clothes on and a broken leg (from falling off a bridge trying to escape).  in my 1982 rape (in my own home, after being hit from behind)  I had 4 broken ribs, both hands were crushed, my clavicle was shattered, my face was crushed, I lost 6 teeth, I was knifed in 12 places, and they had to stitch different parts of my genitals back together, and there was no such thing as a rape abortion pill etc back then.  I had 11 agonizing weeks to think about it. Yes, the aborted fetus went back to Heaven where it would be safe from a very angry me.

Can you abortion supporters not see that God’s judgment is coming upon this nation? God is just beginning His final judgment of all manner of sin, including rampant abortion and all other murder and child abuse, homosexuality, usury, and government corruption. God allows a period of mercy, but He cursed sin from the beginning and His curse is no longer being held back by His mercy as it has been in days past. God is merciful, but He cannot wink at sin. Nothing has changed in Heaven’s Court. Sin is still sin, and Jesus IS King of kings and Lord of lords, whether any of us believe it or not. It behooves us to believe His Word.

Surely God will not continue to be mocked. Seven seals will be broken, seven trumpets will sound, and seven angels will obey a loud voice from the temple, and will pour out seven bowls of God’s wrath upon the earth as punishment. Armageddon is coming. The sun will be darkened, thus photosynthesis halted. The moon will become as blood. Massive earthquakes will cause some to cry out for the rocks to fall on them to escape God’s wrath.

It’s far better to do it now. Stop condoning sin. Repent! Receive Jesus as your Lord, and if you already have, start SERVING Him, before it’s everlasting too late. There IS hell to shun and heaven to gain.

I’m really sick of this debate.  We’ve been debating this for decades.  The fact that we can’t agree that an unborn human life is in fact a life is really discouraging.  Do we really have to prove it has it’s own separate life?  When it has a separate heartbeat, genetic code, and even separate movements from the mother?  I’ve seen a college roommate go through an abortion at 18, then regret it.  It’s tragic.  My little brother is my best friend in this life and I thank God that his mother made the right decision to adopt.  Why can’t we err on the side of life!  Why do we always have to take the easy road!

Inoclu:  I feel for you, these are tough decisions for single women to make and we all make stupid decisions when we’re in love.  I know this doesn’t help you, but I believe in Redemption for truly regretted mistakes.  I for one, will not judge you, because you were strong enough to speak out about its effect on you.  Perhaps a woman in a similar situation will see your post and make the right decision.

More young women need to know that they should give their babies up for Adoption, and I think more would if they knew that those babies could not come looking for them later on, and I do not think that adopted children should be told that they are adopted. As a young single Mom, I had my daughter at 16 and there were complications during delivery, she is permanently disabled from cerebral palsy, epilepsy, cortical blindness, and asthma, I could not imagine my life without her. She is the reason that I decided to graduate from college with two bachelor’s degrees, she is my reason for getting up in the morning and for wanting to become a better person. My dad tried to force me to have an abortion, and I told him that I would never be able to live with myself if he forced me too, I knew my parents would want me to do that and so I hid my pregnancy until I was 5 months along.The bottom line is that abortion has many contributing causes. Because so does teenage pregnancy, my own came from a lack of parental love, my folks divorced when I was 3, my dad was not around much and didn’t pay child support, which forced my mother to have to work all kinds of hours, and then she “had” to have a life of her own, which meant i spent lots of time at home alone. So as a 15 year old girl I was looking for someone to love me, and it so happened to be that the only one who atleast pretended to was an 18 year old boy, resulting in the best thing that God ever graced me with : My Daughter. We Have To Think Of The Even Bigger Picture When Looking At Abortion.
Also my bestfriend had an abortion at 21 and is now a mental train wreck because she murdered her own child, so aside from the murder issue making it wrong, what about the mental effect on the women being also a reason to stop it?

If it would be politically decided, that one way to save our economy would be to make it law to take all medications away from those aged 55 and older, government could easily do so, by attaching a prepared ethical argument necessary to support the idea. Not all pro-life people are religious. I am, in fact, an athiest. That is why I believe so firmly in giving each person a shot at this thing we call life. I had friends have abortions and actually rationalized it by claiming their babies would be in heaven. I think it is a horrible thing to do and it should only be done in the most dire of situations. Some of these birth defects were so horrible - they are not compatible with life. A sad, sad thing genetics are. Most mismatches - dna goofs - nature corrects by causing a miscarriage. I feel terrible for these women who desparately wanted these children and must make an impossible decision that truly is in the child’s best interest. It makes me sick when I see women use abortion as birth control. That is the end of our “civilized” society for sure.

What does an unborn child fall under? Abortion isn’t always about religion, though it can be part of it. Life is life, regardless at what stage it is in. We married late, and didn’t want to rush into having children. We lived overseas and didn’t want to raise children there either.  But by the time we knew we wanted children, I was diagnosed with epilepsy.  We had to wait five years before I was cured by surgery and two more years before we felt financially stable enough to have kids.  Now, two years later, we still don’t have children.  The economic collapse has hurt us, but we long to have a child to fill our empty arms.  If there were more children available for adoption, it would not be so difficult and prohibitively expensive.  Abortion frees a woman from a “burden” of having to sacrifice their own pleasure for another, but it also denies a childless couple the joy of choosing a chid and giving it a loving family.  The selfishness of abortion is as breathtaking as the evil of it. So much for the “just a blob of tissue” argument. When people accuse me of being anti-choice I simply tell them that “I not anti-choice I am pro choice. We just have a serious disagreement about WHEN the choice is made. The choice is made BEFORE conception; that way nobody gets hurt.” I used to ignorantly justify abortion by making the same arguments about the problems of poverty, inability to raise a child, etc.. But then I grew up and got educated about the facts and realized there are lots of couples out there that would voluntarily solve that problem by adoption. So that leaves no excuse for it other than selfishness and not wanting to be responsible for your choice after the fact.

As a counselor, I have counseled lots of women who had abortions early in life and were fine up to the time when they go through menopause. Their post traumatic stress reactions to the events are not pretty. They also take great exception to people who call a baby a fetus when discussing abortion then call it a baby when someone wants it. If you think the term fetus is not emotionally charged, try telling a loved one who had a miscarriage it was not big deal because it was just a fetus. Then be prepared to pick your head up off the floor.

First of all Dr. Michael Williams, Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have had abortions, the worst kind, I was coerced.  I planned to get pregnant because my boyfriend asked me to.  Silly I know, but was very young.
He did everything in his power to make me abort.  I fought for 7 weeks, he finally won. 
I know I walked into the clinic myself, but let me tell you there was an invisible gun to my head.
I have PTSD from the trauma of being forced to kill my baby.  I felt I had no choice. Before I walked through that door, I knew I would die with that baby, and u know what Dr. a big part of me did.
I know I am forgiven, I have asked for forgiveness though confession and I try to give back whenever I can.
But the pain of the shock and trauma, grief and guilt NEVER really leave.
There will come a day when every man and women, with a conscience, will on some level, live to regret aborting their child. 
There will also come a day when everyone who coerced or withheld help from someone in a crises pregnancy will feel the pain. PTSD is debilitating as u know.
Forgiving ones self is hard, but can be done, but the scar from the coercion, which is abuse, never leaves.

u r correct Elaine, But sometimes people are forced against their will to abort.  People need to take into account that coercion is abuse.  Never do i think it is ok to abort, but if we seek forgiveness truly, our sins are forgiven. There are a lot of people out in the world to day suffering and trying to heal and find forgiveness, they need to know that God forgives, and that there is hope for their souls. Oh by the grace of God go I….not everyone skips into abortion clinics wanting to kill their child.  A lot of people actually 85 % of them have been either coerced, lied to by the medical industry, withheld help, or pressured.  A crises pregnancy is just that a crises. My wife at 17 also found herself pregnant, by some guy who happened to be me! Although we were scared and our parents extremely disappointed in us, abortion did not enter into our young minds! It was not the fault of the baby. Our life was very difficult to say the least, but we trusted in God!! Not once in her life have I ever regretted not aborting her.

We were poor young kids, we had no money, but what we had was especial gift from God. We did not take the easy way out. Hard work and determination, trust in each other and in God is what got us through. She and her brother both went to  
Catholic school and graduated from Catholic highschool. She is in her last year of Grad school in college and my son has just started college.

Jim said that you can’t take away free will…so we shouldn’t tell women that it is wrong to abort a child.  Jim is right: we can’t take away free will.  God never took away free will, either, but He did say what is right and good and what is evil and wrong.  We can’t see to get it straight: we legislate against child molestation, but that legislation doesn’t take away the free will of the molester.  We legislate against such things because they are clearly and obviously WRONG.  Can there be anything that is more clearly or obviously wrong than killing and unborn human being?  At their root, all laws have some moral premise underpinning them.  We set speed limits because it might injure or kill someone if folks drive to fast.  We say it’s wrong to steal - a moral judgment.  We say it’s wrong to be prejudiced because of sex, race, or creed…and that, too, is a moral judgment. 

God won’t take away our free will, Jim.  But he will hold us accountable for how we use it!

There is a synergy between leftists-feminists and islamists that i never understood until now. I never understood why would leftists, who normally are thought to be champions of woman’s rights, align themselves with islamists who are notorious for the repression of women. Although they both claim to champion Rights and Freedoms, those Rights and Freedoms are often 180 degrees out of phase; Freedom of religion vs. from religion; Rights of the oppressed, woman vs. balestinians. But now i understand. It is their brotherhood in death that binds them more strongly than anything else. They both value death more than life.

There is no right to kill other than self-defense nor a freedom to kill.

Let me restate it: There is no right to kill except incidentally under the right to self-defense. The baby is not the mother’s enemy in the first place.

The problem with the procedure performed by a doctor is that another seperate human being is being killed by that procedure.  That other human being was inside of your wife’s body, but it was a seperate life.  In the past our society considered such procedures as heinous.  Today we are so far removed from any sanity on this subject that comments like yours, showing absolutely no awareness of the value of the unborn child’s life, are routinely posted.

When someone says, *it’s the best choice they ever made* I doubt they will think that in their *next life* God willing they have one, when, they are in their Mother’s womb, and aborted because, *their Mother* had a change of heart.  And, I doubt that the baby in their womb whose heart beats, and, who feels pain (see www.liveaction.org) thought it was, *the best choice* for this Mom to make.  And, of the Life that beats our heart, that Life that beat the heart of the Mother, and the heart of the Baby within her, and what *that Life* thinks, that intelligent life, all knowing, all feeling, etc,—-do you really think that, *LIFE* with a Capital *L* would consider killing an innoscent human being *the best choice* a young woman could ever make, or, did make?  Since when is the taking of ANY LIFE the, *best choice* a person ever made?  Me thinks you protest too much.

Medicaid pays for abortions. We pay into insurances that pay for abortion.

to CO; I knew a doctor who was sniped (murdered) in his own kitchen in front of his family, he was a physician who had a full practice and provided OB/GYN services as well. He was in not ‘fringe element’. Where do you get your stats on providers and what kind of people they are or why doctors are supposedly no longer providing abortions? Did you just make that up?
Last I looked it was not illegal to have an abortion, call it murder if you like, that’s an opinion.

What a horrifying story!

I do agree that there is a culture of death in the world. I’m not sure if it’s “worse” now than it used to be. We tend to idealize the past and fret about the present and future, when history shows us that times have generally been consistently fraught with moral peril. That doesn’t, of course, make it all right, or mean that we should give up. It means that moral people from every era had their battles against worldly views and misplaced obsessions.

I must point out to the other commenters that I don’t think that pointing fingers - talking about “responsibility” and saying that pregnancy is “100% preventable” - is useful. Some abortions happen as a result of rape; some abortions are done by married women; and indeed some are a result of women with full power of consent outside of marriage. This simply divides us and entrenches the stubborn “pro-choice” factions. What we need to talk about is how no matter how a woman arrives at pregnancy, the person within her has the right to live. It isn’t about “doing the right thing because she made a choice to have sex” - because then people bring up the rape exclusion. It isn’t about killing the baby as some twisted atonement for fornications - you’d be surprised how many married women, some already mothers, have abortions, especially but not limited to situations in which there is a birth defect or a pregnancy with multiples (all the more common now with modern fertility treatments).

I’m a feminist, and what I’d like to see is a world where mothers aren’t punished economically, adoptions are carefully orchestrated but not torturous, and raising a child with disabilities isn’t a terrifying proposition. There is no excuse for abortions, but if we create a more just and love-filled world that addresses the fears of women who are seeking them perhaps that, too, will help our cause.

The Best Thing Planned Parenthood ever did for me was in 1/92- I kept having bad cramps on my Right Ovary Area & didn’t know why!!!  My Period was 3 wks late & I Included that in my Talk w/ The Nurses when I went there- They did a Quick Scan!!  Thanks Be To God that I went there on that afternoon- I had a Big Ovarian Cyst!!!  And The Doctor “in Charge” called 911 because I had a Really Bad Cramp & Passed Out!!  I Love that Dr. & Nurse- they went w/ me to 1 of our local Hospitals (Dover General in Dover, NJ) & I had Immediate Surgery to Remove the Cyst just in time!!  If it had gotten bigger, it would’ve caused my Right Ovary to Collapse!!!  I am “Major Proof that Prayers Do Work”!!!  I Love Doctors & Nurses & People Who Pray esp. when I was in a 5 Day Hepatic Coma at the end of 12/07!!

Those who rejoice in their own past abortions or anyone else, for that matter, could read abut Patrica Neal who recently died.  As a young actress, she became pregnant with Gary Cooper’s baby.  Her acting studio said her acting career was over if she had the baby; so, she had an abortion.  She cried every night for the rest of her life for killing her baby. 

Gary Cooper’s daughter by his marriage, became friends with Patricia Neal and brought her healing and the gift of the Catholic Church and peace before she did as an older woman.    God brought peace out of sorrow.  Praise God!    The gift of life is what I offer women going into the Planned Parenthood clinic and some listen and accept it and some tell me they know all that!  Who am I to judge?

The gift of healing after abortion is available in many places.  The best one I know is through the Catholic Church….a man or woman.. does not have to be Catholic….weekend is free and it works…..let the healing begin!

Project Rachel is a spring board, not an end all.  Those who are deeply hurt, like myself, need more. It is a start…but when Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is involved more help may be needed.
If Catholic, a good priest may be able to get u the help u need. It is a work in progress.
Please do not think that u will walk out of a retreat “healed” if you have PTSD.
First, a good confession, if Catholic.  You need to face what happened, how it happened, ex: were you coerced, pressured, lied to, mislead by the medical industry. 
You need to be honest with yourself, feel the pain, know that your children are in Heaven and that one day, in God’s time we will be reunited with them in peace, if we repent.

Two points of contention:

1. I would find your article more reliable if you showed sources and did not give the impression that your personal bias is causing you to see what you want to see, instead of gathering facts. I am more concerned with your lack of sources though, considering that we are on a site that serves the express purpose of showing the opinion of Catholic people.

2. It’s possible I’m interpreting this wrong, certain parts of your article, namely;

I don’t know who the people you’ve been talking to are that support abortion, but I sincerely doubt that they’ve got a lust for death and an inability to love. Just ask me. Ah wait, sorry, that would be too much like actually making an attempt to get both sides of the story and set the facts straight. My mistake.

I never really believed in the devil until I met abortionists. Until that I thought that evil was just the absence of good in the heart of men.

Rape is so often the best excuse the liberals have for unlimited elective infanticide aka abortions.  However the instance of rape resulting in abortion is so statistically infinitesimal that the posters here claiming they were raped are probably lying.  The instance is somewhere around .003%  Out of that there is another percentage of women who do not choose abortion.  So it just goes to prove that the comment posters are probably not being truthful and are trying to elicit a heartbreaking response from the people who read the trumped up stories so over the top that it is hard to believe. 

Yes I know I will be pseudo-blasted for calling them out, and I know there is no way to prove their claims.  Anyone can be or say anything on the internet and someone will believe it.  I will also come off as sounding like a heartless jerk, but honestly I do not care.  The truth is never pretty, and I chose to err on the side of life.  Not because I am some super Christian, but because I have been through an abortion. It haunts you. (of course I could be accused of lying on the internet too, but your intuition will tell you the truth.) I have also been through a date rape, and I promise you the depression from killing your baby is much much worse.  The rape I had no control over, the abortion I had complete control and responsibility for.  That pain never goes away and I ask for forgiveness every day.

Also the excuse that it is better to be dead than to be an unwanted child who is abused and foster cared for is ridiculous.  First of all, do not attack the prolife position for that occuring.  Attack the perpetrators who commit the abuse.  Very few cases of an unwanted child or an abused child is because they did not get a chance to have an abortion. 

Yet, it is easy to CLAIM those children killed in the womb would be unwanted and abused. It is easy to take a liberal stand against pro-life in the name of not wanting to promote unwanted babies because there is no way to prove it.  It is easy to prove however that the birth of a child often changes lives for the better.  People turn their lives around because suddenly they understand unconditional love and they have a great lesson in wanting to take responsibility for that love.  Not every time and sometimes foster care does occur with subsequent adoption.  However it is easy to prove that not all foster care situations are horrible and abusive.  There are great foster parents out there who often adopt those children.  So do not condemn the pro-life position for abused and unwanted children.  Condemn the abusers.

If abortion prevented the abuse of children, we would see child abuse practically eradicated by now.  Child abuse has increased exponentially, so those claims are baseless and false.

Abortion does not prevent child abuse or unwanted children being forced into foster care.  If it did we could see the decline, but we have not.

I read recently that the deeds of darkness defy good order. Surely abortion is one of the deeds of darkness. It can never be tidied up fit for family viewing any more than any organised crime.

I was never loved by many nor frolicked with other kids.  I was unwanted, unkempt, and unloved.  I wish my mother had an abortion.  Instead I am an adult chock full of abandonement issues, addictions, and depression.  You idiots think that the unwanted children of the world will have a great life just because they were allowed to be born?  Is your life great?  How about making this world livable first and then work on meddling in other people’s decisions.

    We do not call the abortionist a doctor, either, we call him Bob Crist who has murdered 4 women and mangled others and he still performs killing in Missouri.  My friends and I are going to the Missouri Catholic Conference in a few weeks and ask some questions and join others in writing legislation to help save babies and moms and families the horrors of abortion, the killing of the innocent. You can get off your high horse Lisa.  That statement was a fact, not a cry for help.  Unwanted children are victims of society.  They have no choices or protection.  They live at the whims of adults, and let me tell you, most people become monsters when faced with a defenseless creature that has no voice.  After you have been molested by almost every adult you were left alone with, slept in closets, lived as a maid and whipping boy for anyone “kind” enough to give you a floor to sleep on, spent an entire childhood without medical care, school clothes, or hugs and kisses, regular meals, or even electricity, then you can make the discernment at to whether you wish you were born or not.  Yes, I have choices now and give myself a good life, but that doesn’t erase the 18 years I spent crying myself to sleep.  Nor does it change the fact that it is nearly impossible to be a normal adult when you have lived a life knowing that you were an inconvenience and afterthought to the only people you’re supposed to count on.  When you people can ensure that those children will have good childhoods, then you can justify sticking your noses where it doesn’t belong. 
And Lisa, all you have is your limited view of the world.  The fact that you even had the nerve to make that statement shows me how ignorant you must be and that you have never known the atrocities of life firsthand.  Lucky you.

To Patricia and every meddlesome christian that thinks they are doing the work of God by harrasing young scared girls outside of abortion clinics:

Jesus NEVER fought against anything.  He was never involved in a protest against anything.  He lived his message and waited for people to SEEK HIM OUT.  Read your bible and try to find one example.  You people have made a mockery of a religion that once had a beautiful message.  Girls that go to abortion clinics are scared and upset and you don’t think twice about upsetting them more.  How is that done in love?  Maybe if you worked on removing the hipocrisy from your message and start turning it into one that people are actually drawn to, then you can attract these girls before they make the decision to have sex.  But once they do, you don’t have the right to make anyone feel bad for any decision they make.  And please don’t fool yourselves into thinking that you’re not hatemongers picketing and hollering outside of these facilities.  Jesus would never act so foolish.

Instead of picketing, how about volunteering at your local orphanges and giving these unwanted children the love you say is waiting for them when they get to experience the great joy of being born.  Do something useful and good for a change.  And really take a look at the lives of these children in facilities without enough adults to ensure that they all get the affection their young psyches need to grown into normal adults.  Because unless you are part of the solution, you are part of the problem.  And standing around yelling about how your way is right and the other is sin is not being part of the solution, it’s acting like self righteous twit.

I realize the comments directly to me are in anger.  I hope you get a new attitude and that one is pretty terrible.  Tried talking to someone to get some forgiveness in your life?  No one should spend their life in anger.

I tend to walk away from women or men at the killing site when they are angry.  The killing site is just that…where babies and sometimes women are killed.  That is wrong.  Were it a tatto shop, I would not give the clients a second thought.  Babies and mothers and fathers and family members and don’t forget the tax base all suffer.    Don’t want to hear a suggestion or facts…that Crist has killed 4 women, that abortion causes depression, lack of making quality relationships with men and women.

I am a Christian man from Cuba where I was born and raised. I came to the USA 15 years ago and breaks my heart to see the hatred among Americans. There are so far over 43 millions abortions, that is like killing every Cuban man, woman and child 4 times each. The problem with abortion is the human nature, our sinful nature, we rather have unprotected sex because our flesh is a weak mess, than take control of our own lives and commit ourselves to our Lord Jesus Christ, if we truly abide by His teachings we will not be debating about abortion. The bottom line is that abortion is murder. You are destroying a human life, that is murder, USA abortion clinics have killed since 1973 more people than all the world wars put together. Call it whatever you want, it is murder because a might of fleeting passion. Control your body, submit to Christ and you will not have regrets in the future. Even many women who have been raped have given birth and put the children for adoption. There is Pastor in Texas who is one of them, God is using him to provide wells of clean waters to children all over Africa!!! What a better way to express that woman’s love that decided have the child instead of killing him. It is a shame that you dwell in the little issues instead of the most importan issue the respect for the human life.

Oh poor pro-deathchoicer.  Two of my sisters were butchered during legal abortion and one died.  My mother lost her life after being infected by a perforated uterus and I tried to commit suicide after deep darkening depression from having an abortion.  An abortion that caused a systemic blood infection where both of my legs were amputated.  My cousins baby survived a late term abortion but was paralyzed from the neck down from the butchers scissors.
