The Vatican has released this statement this morning on the news that Osama bin Laden had been killed by American forces in Pakistan:
“This morning, following the killing of Osama Bin Laden, the Director of the Holy See Press Office, P. Federico Lombardi, issued the following statement to reporters:
Osama Bin Laden - as everyone knows - has had the gravest responsibility for spreading hatred and division among people, causing the deaths of countless people, and exploiting religion for this purpose.
Faced with the death of a man, a Christian never rejoices, but reflects on the serious responsibility of everyone before God and man, and hopes and pledges that every event is not an opportunity for a further growth of hatred, but of peace.”

A lot of people in the world are relieved. Many here in South Africa. As for myself, he held back the online gambling industry and he sure was a security risk to the entire world.http://bit.ly/lY7Xeu
The Bible says such killings by just authority are a deed of hope. Here is Judith 13….only in the Catholic Bible…wherein Judith has killed Holofernes who was planning on killing the Jews. Listen to Uzziah’s words to Judith…chapter 13:
“Then Uzziah said to her: “Blessed are you, daughter, by the Most High God, above all the women on earth; and blessed be the Lord God, the creator of heaven and earth, who guided your blow at the head of the chief of our enemies.
19
Your deed of hope will never be forgotten by those who tell of the might of God.
20
May God make this redound to your everlasting honor, rewarding you with blessings, because you risked your life when your people were being oppressed, and you averted our disaster, walking uprightly before our God.” And all the people answered, “Amen! Amen!”

It is very easy to quote the fire and brimstone of the (Torah) old testament. Why not refer to the new testament
John 13:34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
Mahatma Gandhi: An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.
The new commandment to love one another is not founded on reciprocal action but on unilateral giving from the Spirit. This generosity confounds the oppressor and binds all people of goodwill.
Though killing is not permitted, the killing of such anti people persons who spread hatred and fear could be killed by authorities. The problem is his ideology of hatred towards Christianity, western nations etc will be taken over by his successors. Let us pray Holy Spirit may give them real wisdom so that they will realise the value of love and peace and do not nurture hatred and violence.
I like to think that the reaction of most would be the same had Bin Laden been captured and not specifically about his death - a sense of relief or closure, justice finally delivered in that Bin Laden was no long free and a threat.
I pray for his soul because I know our heavenly Father is grieved to lose any of his children. But I do share that sense of relief and believe the right thing was done if he refused to give up.
re: previous commenters citing biblical quotes (ie Judith) to support ?; please spare us your private interprations and lean not soley on your own understanding. In the end, that only leads to more problems and is ultimately the reason for so much division, schism and seperation in the Church. Peter has spoken here, listen.
We too prayed for his soul, admittedely a difficult thing. Thanks for posting the Vatican pronouncement. Proud to be a Catholic today.
bob crachit
Fr. Lombardi is Peter now….lol. And Benedict like John Paul has called the death penalty ” cruel” which as Cardinal Dulles pointed out when he was here…God commanded for 35 different reasons ( so God commanded the cruel??)....all part of the non infallible sector of the ordinary magisterium. Peter too had to be corrected by Paul in Galatians and two Popes were corrected by Catherine of Siena.
A reminder to all , False kingdoms to be destroyed , prophesies made by Jesus and their fufillnents.
The Gospel of Matthew 15:3” But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Fathet hath not planted, shall be rooted up.”
It is never good to rejoice over the downfall of any person, good or evil, but to pray for the salvation of their soul.
Let us all be thankful this man of hate especially against christians and the west is gone from this earth..
Let us also leave his judgement to God..-
Let us also understand once and for all there are such things as just wars.. and such things as defending ourselves as in this case when Bin laden and people like him sit and plan our death—- God also gave us a brain to use..
Thinking of Mick Mannock’s “I hope he burned all the way to the ground” when he heard of Ricthofen’s demise, but proud of the Vatican statement and proud to be a Roman Catholic, member of the only church founded by Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords and king of kings.
I kind of wish the Govt. would have at least waited until MONDAY MORNING to announce the murder of Bin Laden—Considering Sunday was a holy day—with Divine Mercy and the Beatification of Pope John Paul II. A day of joy, excitement and faith was turned bittersweet with the death of a person. Though Bin Laden devastated many lives—with killings, mamings, destroying families, ect. I do not feel poeple should (as I have heard on news reports this morning) poeple saying they are “joyful” about his death—It would more tasteful to say justice prevailed. Saying that they are glad someone is dead—no matter how sinister they are—Also speads hate AND can lead to more violence from such poeple.
Bin Laden may be dead, but terrorism is still alive. I do commend the US Forces on a great completion of this mission of justice and the persistance President Obama had when continuing the search for Bin Laden when he presided office from President Bsuh .
“Faced with the death of a man, a Christian never rejoices, but reflects on the serious responsibility of everyone before God and man, and hopes and pledges that every event is not an opportunity for a further growth of hatred, but of peace.””
If I may be so bold, this reads like: “we aren’t rejoicing in his death (and possible damnation), but do hope that it will mean an end to much of the anti-human hatred and violence he spread and supported.”
Which doesn’t seem to be a condemnation of the Special Forces, and just about sums up how I feel.
Has anyone here considered that the modern day hand of God came down on the murderer Usama Bin Laden in the form of the U.S. Navy seals? It wouldn’t be the first time He destroyed such an obviously ungodly threat to humanity, right?
@bob cratchit - I have to agree with Bill Bannon. A Vatican press release hardly amounts to “Peter has spoken.” But, when Peter has spoken, he’s consistently said that killing those who are trying to kill you (or innocents)is justified. But I disagree with Mr. Bannon who sees this as an imposition of the death penalty. It isn’t. It’s the killing of an armed aggressor in a war he declared, himself. We can save the death penalty debate for another day.
Wm. Actually they are now stating on the news that the orders were kill orders…no capture. Last night they said something quite different. The Seals had kill only orders because capture would have caused things like hostage taking by Al Qaeda. So this was a mission to carry out a death sentence.
Recent reports and info seem to indicate that they wanted, or at least tired, to take him alive. He wouldn’t have it. He chose the fire-fight and apparetnly even used a woman as a human shield. Not justifying our behavior, but at the same time, it could not have ended any other way. He was a martyr waiting for the moment to folow-through. Our SEALs obliged.
I don’t think citing OT (not TORAH, by the way, get it right if you’re gonna criticize) is inappropirate. Though we may not konw for a while whether God sent the SEALs to be agents of his will for rescuing and saving lives (cf Cyrus of Persia and the end of the Exile), or whether we’ve exhibited hubris, greed and vengence, in which case God will discipline us in good time (cf Achan in Joshua 7). All we need to now is pray for grace and mercy, and that God will allow us to know which it is so that we can celebrate what is his will and repent of what isn’t.
This act has contributed to the “common good” of mankind. Now, let’s get on with it.
I should rather have said, the “Holy See has spoken”, or something like that. Was I contesting any issues of self-defense or defense of public? No. But whenever anyone starts with, “the bible says…”, I always get a little, well, nervous since it is the most misused and misquoted book ever written.
I agree with the holy father that we should not rejoice of someone’s death. It’s so true, we need to be merciful as God is merciful for everyone.
Bill-It may have loosely been a “death sentence” but it isn’t the death penalty as contemplated in the Catechism, which is imposed by civil authority upon someone who is in custody and has received the sentence following some form of judicial procedure. Bin Laden’s death is more akin to an enemy who has been killed in a surprise attack.
I loved what was said from the Vatican. I am glad that there is peace of mind for many people, but saddened by death.
To pray, and to continue to pray for the soul of Osama bin Laden is certainly charitable, but neither rational nor theological. Each of us write a book with every borrowed breath we take while we walk upon the face of the earth. At the moment we exhale our last borrowed breath, our book closes, and nothing can either be added to of subtracted from what we have written. As a child of God I rely completely on my salvation by God’s grace through faith. This man has written a book inspired by inveterate hatered, not only for those people, religions, and governments who would oppose him, but toward his own people as well. This man was not a child of God, and would have been enraged by any such suggestion or insinuation. This man died not knowing the Lord, rather being an enemy of our God to the very end. Rather than praying for his soul - his spiritual book, which is now closed only to be read again at the last judgement by his Creator, I invite you to join with me in praying for his followers. The pages of their books are still being written upon day after day - breath by borrow breath. For them, it is not to late. Our God - only our God - can still change their hearts. It is for that miraculous intercession that I beg all my sisters and brothers in Christ to pray.
I think the best reaction we can have at times like these is to pray that God, as He always does, makes the best out of this situation. It has the potential to bring about a lot of good for the United States and the world, but only if we don’t reduce it to a mere satisfaction of our desire for vengeance. Instead we need to pray that this situation is handled prudently and hope, in spite of the pain he has caused so many people, for the salvation of Osama bin Laden’s soul.
Bin Laden killed? Possibly yes, probably no. I can’t believe the Vatican bought this so gullibly. There’s not a shred of real evidence (not even a body), just Obama’s claim. He’s a notorious liar and spewer of propaganda. Isn’t there an election coming up next year? Very convenient.
Plainly, he’s dead. I will only pray for the souls in purgatory. There is no need to be specific in this case as far as I’m concerned. God’s perfect, infinite and merciful justice is what I trust in.
Frank, I hate the possibility that you may be right. But it is naive to think otherwise.
Osama Bin Laden got himself killed. The US Navy SEALS who led the operation into the armed and fortified compound gave Osama a chance to surrender, but he refused and in the firefight that ensued Osama died. Even in his final moments Osama Bin Laden’s men attempted to further their agenda at the expense of the lives of others. if there is anyone I have genuine sorrow over it was the woman they used a human shield who died in the fight. Osama has mad his bed, now he lies in it; a lonely and forgettable grave at the bottom of the sea. May God have mercy on his miserable soul
Frank Cioppa: you obviously are ignoring the Vatican Message. I suppose you also believe Obama was born outside the USA? Don’t allow your disagreement with Obama’s policies to get in the way of Christian charity. You, I and Obama are all sinners so stop the self righteous and juvenile language. Hate the sin but love the sinner whether they be Democrat or Republican or neither.
I’m not sure how to feel and I am left a bit suspicious. Funny how quickly those DNA tests were completed. Funny how quickly they dumped his body in the sea. I’m not so sure about him being the worst threat to America’s freedom.
The Apostle John sums up the problem with Bin Laden and Islam in general:
“19 And this is the judgment: Because the light[Jesus] has come into the world and men loved darkness rather than the light: for their works were evil. 20 For every one that does evil hates the light and comes not to the light, that his works may not be reproved. 21 But he that does truth comes to the light, that his works may be made manifest: because they are done in God.”
(John 3:19-21)
To those of you who ‘cringe’ about the celebratory response that some Americans are exhibiting:
Osama Bin Laden was the proverbial ‘Boogeyman Under the Bed’ for most Americans and others. He was the face of pure evil and as long as he lived we were threatened. A face that the MSM had no problem whatsoever promoting.
Go and look at old newsreels of people’s reactions to the news of Hitler’s death. We had been burning effigies of Hitler and Tojo every other weekend.
This is a natural response to an end of a very stressful 10 years. Make no mistake, this isn’t the last madman that the world will have to endure…there will be others. But for now, we need to ‘celebrate’ in the death of the ‘Boogeyman’.
May God have mercy on his soul.
Thank you,William Ferguson. We should always be careful not to distort the Teachings of the Catholic Church. Though Bob Cratchit here cautions us - and very rightly so - to be wary of Bible-quoting justifications, Christ’s Teaching on how to treat your enemies is unambiguous. Obama and Americans may feel triumphant that they have killed Osama bin Laden but to celebrate that?????? I do not feel that is quite right. I believe intense prayers and strengthening of Intelligence-gathering Operations would have been the right thing to do, knowing how intricate and wide-spread the Al Qaeda Networks are. Celebrating so exuberantly invites a reason for a vicious retaliation and more deaths. And thank you, Mother Church for showing us the way to respond to this sad end of a child of God created in His Own Image and Likeness. I can hear someone vehemently denying this truth. In response to you, Bill Bannon, an Official Statement from the Holy See IS THE TEACHING VOICE OF ST.PETER. You need not be so sarcastic about the Statement which Fr. Lombardi released on behalf of the Holy Father. You come through as a person who has no respect for the Holy Father or the Catholic Church. I really get saddened by the uncharitable sentiments which I come across in these Catholic Websites. Whatever happened to the “Love Your Enemy and Pray for him” Teaching from Jesus Christ???? Please Americans not display yourselves to the world as a Nation without a Soul. We are still digesting the Wiki Leaks
Then Uzziah said to her: “Blessed are you, daughter, by the Most High God, above all the women on earth; and blessed be the Lord God, the creator of heaven and earth, who guided your blow at the head of the chief of our enemies.
** God did not glory in the killing of one of his children.
Uzziah praised her (wrongly)
God praises Mary by making her the mother of His son, she helps defeat the real chief of enemies (satan) through prayer and love and forgiveness. Everything is fulfilled in the new testament. Jesus said to Peter “he who lives by the sword will die by the sword”
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this occurred on Divine Mercy Sunday. If we could somehow know that Osama made into Heaven, or at least purgatory, that would be a reason to celebrate. As Christians it is our wish that all people come to know, love and serve God. “For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us, and on the WHOLE world.” Do we mean it?
One of the many concerns over this is that it does nothing to resolve the underlying problem and will likely not do anything towards making the world a better place. One humble deacon’s thoughts on this can be found at http://deepsouthdeacon.blogspot.com/2011/05/eye-for-eye-makes-whole-world-blind.html
The death of bin laden seems to have brought joy to those who have lost loved ones in such evil attacks such as 9/11. Revenge is sweet. The old testament tells of such evil and the destruction of hole nations. We all know our lord Jesus did not teach revenge but forgiveness. You say how can we forgive such people as bin laden, Hitler, sadam, nero and many more through the centuries. HEAVENLY FATHER, FORGIVE US FOR FEELING LIKE WE DO.LET US FOLLOW YOUR WAYS AND SHOW THOSE WHO LIVE TO KILL IN THE NAME OF THERE GOD ARE WITH OUT SALVATION. be ye Holy amen
The statement from the Vatican was about as charitible as one can get. It was very well written. The ironic thing in all of this is that it did happen on the beatification of our beloved Blessed Pope John II and another eerie thing is that Hitler also died on May 1 (1945) although by suicide. This to me is a clear picture of Good vs. Evil. I email from Michelle was very good stating “let us pray for the souls in Purgatory” and also May 1st being Mercy Sunday let us pray for Mercy so we will be shown the same. A great evil was taken out of the world on May 1 but I will not say where he is…let God determine that. Now, let us pray for peace to avoid retribution from the network of evil this man brainwashed since 1978. God Bless us and America.
Not a Gandhi quote:
I always thought it unlikely that Gandhi said, “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”, because it would mean that Gandhi did not understand the meaning or context of an “eye for an eye”.
If you find a verifiable source for Gandhi saying that quote, I recommend you send it to Fred Shapiro, editor, Yale Book of Quotations.
Here is a fairly thorough review, of Ganhi’s not saying that quote, inclusive of Sharpiro’s, but by another investigator.

Frank, if he’s alive, the next video will be out within 48 hours. If not, don’t worry; he’s really dead.
To Snags McSnaggs. I deeply resent the unwarrented conclusions you jumped to. I did not even refer directly to the Vatican Message. Of course we should pray for Osama during his life and upon his death. Why would what I said suggest that I also believe Obama was born outside the USA? Christian charity does not require political gullibility and buying whatever we are told by the media. I didn’t even say I disagree with Obama’s policies, but that I don’t automatically accept the pure claim that Osama was killed. You have no right to call me self righteous (suspicious, yes; but why self righteous?). My language was not juvenile; it was perfectly clear and to the point. Being a Democrat or Republican is not the issue.
As a convert to Catholicism, the Church’s position on peace and the statement the Vatican makes me proud to be in the Church and away from fundamentalist circles. I too will pray for Bin Laden’s soul and yes, as one person stated, I am relieved he is gone. But now I must continue to pray for peace along with the rest of my brothers and sisters.
@Dudley The crux of my blog post is not whether Mr. Ghandi actually did or did not make this statement. That is why I wrote “Mohandas Ghandi has been quoted as saying…” I apologize. I should have been more specific that this is an unconfirmed attribution.
Yes, I do realize that in context, the original intent of this scripture was to limit retribution, not encourage it. However, most seem to take it completely out of context and use it to justify revenge.
Well it is not certain that Mr. Ghandi ever said this, it is certain that Indian peace activists have used this publicly. Take a look at the the links below:
http://www.peaceheroes.com/PeaceHeroes/mahatmagandhi.htm
We should rejoice, not that he is dead, but that he is no longer able to directly influence and command hate, violence, death and destruction. His conversion and repentance would have been preferrable for him and for the world, but this is perhaps the next best thing.
Paul:
I know a lot of people wrongly use it.
You wrongly used it, knowing it was wrongly used and then direct us to other people wrongly using it.
I think it better to say the truth.
Why promote an error?
This error is only promoted because those promoting it think it have more strength, only because of attribution to Gandhi.
Which is exactly what you did.
This is a lesson of the propriety of adapting actions to circumstances ( the parable of the parched garment) Matthew9:16,parallel with Mark2:21, and Luke 5:36
CCC 2264 “If a man in self-defense uses more than necessary violence, it will be unlawful: whereas if he repels force with moderation, his defense will be lawful…. Nor is it necessary for salvation that a man omit the act of moderate self-defense to avoid killing the other man, since one is bound to take more care of one’s own life than of another’s.”
The degree of force needs to be considered and proportional and that, knowingly, using too much force is unlawful or illegitimate.
This must be with the consideration that we will always make some errors in this regard, unknowingly, and that if we err, we need to err on the side of protecting innocent lives, meaning an error in degree must be that which better protects the individuals and society from an unjust aggressor.
CCC 2265: “Legitimate defense can be not only a right but a grave duty for someone responsible for another’s life. Preserving the common good requires rendering the unjust aggressor unable to inflict harm.”
Self defense, by individuals and governments, is a grave duty, defending ones own life, that of another and the lives of their citizens by government.
“The common good” “requires” that an unjust aggressor be rendered “unable to inflict harm”. The definitions of “require” and “unable” are clear in meaning and in context.
It is a rational truism that only dead murderers are “unable to inflict harm”. Unable to inflict harm is the same as impossible to inflict harm, only possible by the absolute incapacitation of the aggressor - by death.
However, the Church must conclude, as reason does, that only dead unjust aggressors are “unable” to harm again and that we are “required” by the Church to render them “unable to inflict harm”, as per CCC.
The Church must solve the conflict between 1) we are “required” to render the unjust aggressor “unable to inflict harm” (2265), a requirement which can only be met with death and 2) that we must not use “more than necessary violence” (2264).
2266: “The State’s effort to contain the spread of behaviors injurious to human rights and the fundamental rules of civil coexistence corresponds to the requirement of watching over the common good.”
The “common good” “requires” an unjust aggressor be rendered “unable to inflict harm.” 2265
Satan is a very powerful angel and can get a strong hold on people that can bring others down in a domino effect while he snickers and grins an evil, yellow toothed, sallow faced grin in satisfaction. He has had a stronghold on these terrorists for milliniom’s. And for milliniom’s…we have learned to fight for the good of our God. I believe we have fought for the good of our God. Not murdered for the laughing sake of Satan.
The world as lost one very evil man (least in our eyes but I am sure that he had family who loved and believed in his rhetoric and for them I am sorry for their lose). He made many people suffer and for that I am glad that he is gone. I am sure he was welcome in to Hades easily. I am proud that we as a nation have wonderful men and women who can keep our nation free, God bless and kept them every day, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. But I have one question will we be able to talk peace with whoever comes forward as the new leader? And I am afraid that we will not be able to.
Coming from someone who rapes children and steals from the poor, any comment about people’s action takes a lot of gall. You know nothing of God’s will. If you did you would sell all your riches and give to the poor as Jesus commanded. You are a greedy, sorry excuse of evil. You are truly a pedophile as we well know but you are allowed to still walk around and not be jailed—and you protect your peers that do the same. Awful, just awful injustice. Do not judge others on their feelings. You are the true evil dear pope.
The truly unhinged are sallying forth with their “wisdom.” Right, Sue Lee?
The world is better off without bin Laden, obviously. But the dancing in the streets at his violent death says more about American society than it does about him or any other muslim terrorists. Sorry, but there it is. The Vatican press release was pitch perfect.
Has had the gravest responsibility for spreading hatred and division among people, causing the deaths of countless people, and exploiting religion for this purpose. Lol, this line here could be interchanged right into the crusades. Seems heavy-handed and hypocritical that the vatican wants to even open their mouth on this one.
I certainly rejoice at his death. I rejoice at God’s judgment on the wicked. I rejoice there will be a lake of fire. I rejoice that I know the Truth about spiritual matters.
Our Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, said it well by saying that Bin Laden’s death is cause for “sober satisfaction”. Sober, because no one should rejoice in another’s death and we, all, will face judgement one day. Satisfaction, because a man given to sponsor evil acts has been rendered incapable of sponsoring terrorist acts. Sober, because Bin Laden’s disciples will persist until they, too, are rendered incapable of violence, either through interception or conversion. Satisfaction, that many are working tirelessly behind the scenes in the relentless pursuit of justice. The men and women of the police, military and clandestine services should be commended for the dedication and courage.
@daysleeper, thank you for your new testament quote in response to bill bannon’s reference to Judith—oh that there were more christians like you!
“Is it OK to celebrate the death of someone - someone like Bin Laden?”
That is the topic of one of the best national talk radio host on American culture, if not the best, Dennis Prager. He’ll be discussing that Tuesday, May 3rd. Dennis is a religious Jewish author, teacher and lecturer who has written the best selling primer the past ten years on Judaism, and is equally knowledgeable and respectful of the New Testament and Christians. He’s articulate, and non confrontational. He’s motto is: “to think a second time.” His objective is not persuasion, but to seek clarity. Google the Dennis Prager radio program for time and station nearest you, or listen on the Internet. He’s out of LA, CA at 9 AM to Noon, M-F on KRLA 870 AM dial. Should make for an interesting discussion.
21) Pius XII: For the fundamental demand of justice, whose role in morality is to maintain the existing equilibrium, when it is just, and to restore the balance when upset. It demands that by punishment the person responsible be forcibly brought to order; (Sixth Congress of International Penal Law, on October 3, 1953. no link)
22) Pius X “It is lawful to kill when fighting in a just war; when carrying out by order of the Supreme Authority a sentence of death in punishment of a crime; and, finally, in cases of necessary and lawful defense of one’s own life against an unjust aggressor.” (Catechism of Pius X)
26) Augustine says: “Unless a man restore what he has purloined, his sin is not forgiven. “Since therefore the safeguarding of justice is necessary for salvation, it follows that it is necessary for salvation to restore what has been taken unjustly. (Aquinas, ST II/II 62,2)
27) A penalty is the reaction required by law and justice in response to a fault: penalty and fault are action and reaction. Order violated by a culpable act demands the reintegration and re-establishment of the disturbed equilibrium. (Pius XII Address to Italian Catholic Jurists, May 12, 1954)
28) It is unlawful to desire vengeance considered as evil to the man who is to be punished, but it is praiseworthy to desire vengeance as a corrective of vice and for the good of justice; and to this the sensitive appetite can tend, in so far as it is moved thereto by the reason: and when revenge is taken in accordance with the order of judgment, it is God’s work, since he who has power to punish “is God’s minister,” as stated in Romans 13:4. (Aquinas ST II/II 158 1 ad 3)
29) The act of sin makes man deserving of punishment, in so far as he transgresses the order of Divine justice, to which he cannot return except he pay some sort of penal compensation, which restores him to the equality of justice (Aquinas, ST, I/II 87,6)
20. St. Thomas Aquinas: “If a man is a danger to the community, threatening it with disintegration by some wrongdoing of his, then his execution for the healing and preservation of the common good is to be commended. Only the public authority, not private persons, may licitly execute malefactors by public judgement. Men shall be sentenced to death for crimes of irreparable harm or which are particularly perverted.” Summa Theologica, 11; 65-2; 66-6.
31) This is what the Church teaches: “the act of sin makes man deserving of punishment” as well as “Punishment is proportionate to sin in point of severity, both in Divine and in human judgments.” (Aquinas ST I/II 87,6; 87, 3 ad 1)
32) “You become worse than the sinner if you fail to correct him.” (Augustine, De Verb. Dom. xvi, 4)
33) “A penalty is the reaction required by law and justice in response to a fault: penalty and fault are action and reaction” (Pius XII, Address to Italian Catholic Jurists, May 12, 1954)
34) “The very existence and the gravity of the punishment enable us to understand the foolishness and malice of sin and its harmful consequences.” (Paul VI, Indulgentiarum Doctrina, 1/1/67)
35) “For example, some are inclined to replace exaggerated attitudes of the past with other exaggerations: From seeing sin everywhere they pass to not recognizing it anywhere; from too much emphasis on the fear of eternal punishment they pass to preaching a love of God that excludes any punishment deserved by sin” (JPII, Reconciliatio et Paenitentia, 1984)
36) He who takes vengeance on the wicked in keeping with his rank and position does not usurp what belongs to God but makes use of the power granted him by God. For it is written (Romans 13:4) of the earthly prince that “he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.” (Aquinas, ST, II/II 108 1 ad 1)
Sheik bin Laden died many years ago.
Is it OK to celebrate having a crook in the White House?
We must strive to become the highest version of ourselves..It is not the eyes of men that must be opened -it is their hearts. May the love of Jesus Christ open the hearts of mankind. As servants of Christ we are called to break the shackles of societal norms and to embrace heavenly norms.Let us end bloodshed and to lift one another up. Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me…. AMEN
Proverbs 24:17-10, “Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; lest the LORD see it, and it displease Him, and He turn away His wrath from him…”
There has never been a doubt that God loves “everyone”.
The real question is: did Bin Ladin love God, and keep his Commandments?
We send ourselves to Hell.
God is merciful, but He is also just.
Thoughts to ponder. I really wonder what Americans REALLY feel their interpretation of FREEDOM is?
It seems since the mid-1990s, Favoratism and the “Policitally Correct” mentality had diluted the term FREEDOM within our Country.
NOT ONE news report about anything about being Catholic (Easter Sunday at the Vatican or the Beatification of Pope John Paul II)is ever broadcasted with mentioning sexual abuse scandals.
I’ve recently went back to college and you would NOT believe how students and sometimes professors bash Catholic and Moral beliefs when discussing Ethics. BUT, you say something about being Prolife and being against Gay marriage, YOU’RE the one who gets yelled at.
Hello? Before poeple open their mouths on anything they should think about practicing what they preach reagarding political correctness and freedom. Another sad fact in America is they are just fed short clippings on topics (because, lets face it, the future generation’s brains SEEM only be able to consume so much with regards to all the inudation of “information” flashed in front of them inbetween their, cell phone conversations, blogs, twitterings, facebookings, tv shows and textings—They do not take the time to be truly OPENED-MINDED or to become EDUCATED on subjects before chiming in on issues that seem to be nothing but fabricaations and non-factual. The motto of “you can’t believe everything your read” has really deteriorated the realness of the world and has traded it in for a Godless, Senseless, Immoral Virtual World.
Technology is great. I love using my recently purchased PC Tablet, but I use it primarily as a learning tool—Not as some senseless toy.
I love also have poeple say “They don’t have time—To exercise, to read to their children, to cook a homemade meal TO GO TO CHURCH—Yet have time to gossip on the phone, look at porn on the internet, play video games and so on.
IMO, American Freedom is a joke. Poeple laugh at religion and morals—saying they don’t want to be held down by beliefs or rules. Yet, aren’t the majority of Americans nothing but “slaves to technology? Are they not “sheep” holding on to every word of the media? Are they not selfishly repenting and sacrificing themselves to wrongful behavior?
Alot of poeple want to “Look young” and want to “Live forever” and even subject themselves very vain procedures such as plastic surgery and such.
Poeple need to know that, indeed, they are going to live forever, AFTER this worldly experience passes—so why not prepare for eternal life and not pollute their soul with the “Free-will” stupidity man has created?
Back to Bin Laden & “Freedom” and life: Yes, Bin Laden was an evil man and the USA forces did what was in the best interest of the world to rid evil, BUT! To see poeple in the streets cheering someone was KILLED shows that we are NO BETTER than the Taliban poeple. It was sickening for me to see this behavior out in the streets and these poeple dragging their children with them to do so. Poeple in the USA claim to “VALUE LIFE”—yet they feel its OKAY ti rip babies out of wombs and toss elderly poeple in nursing homes to die and EVEN do euthanasia. NOW, we celebrate death in the streets—poeple go on TV saying “good he’s dead”, “it brings me joy he is dead”...WOW…America…How sad of a nation we have become….
Joseph D’Hippolito:
Certainly, PJPII made major errors in his death penalty teachings, abandoning the eternal teachings of the Church and replacing them with a secular foundation of “defense of society”, based upon the security of prisons.
I am unaware that he challenged all of those teachngs that I posted.
I strongly disagree with the first line of the last paragraph. Christians are to rejoice in the glory of God, and the entrance of heaven. When a loved one is passed away, you are to be rejoiced that they have joined the Father, and that line is completely false. However, if he is hell bound, it is not whether or not to rejoice but to pray to God for mercy. But the “elect” are chosen for a purpose. God chose who rises and who doesn’t with a reason, and we are to live glorifying God and placing our faith in him. The second part of trying to create peace however is partially right. I feel like the Vatican are no longer connected to God. It is no longer a personal relationship between the people and God to them. It is a Christian event, which is not true considering everyone has their own relationship with God. Also, not necessarily peace, but through every event we should glorify God, that is our main objective.
When poeple die, yes, you can be joyous of it…For they (hopefully) will be entering heaven. Others feel that at least, when someone is very ill, the suffering will be gone and they will be passed on to eternal life.
However, to be joyous of someone’s death (or murder of Bin Laden) out of vengence and spite, is not very Christian at all.
JP—I don’t see why you feel the Vatican is “separate” from God..They try to enforce the True Teachings of the church. As for the relationship of poeple and God—we are one from Him, made in His image. If anyone is keeping Poeple separate from God, it is their own doing. And at the Beatification of JPII, where 1.5 million poeple gathered certainly did not look like the Vatican and the believers of God were separate—But in UNITY of such a great Catholic Occasion.
Judges 5 makes it quite clear that we should rejoice when one of God’s enemies is removed, even sing about it. I’d think you’d agree bin Laden was an enemy of God. Anyone who is an enemy of God is a friend of the devil. Rejoicing intimidates the friends of the devil.
On the one hand, Proverbs does warn us not to rejoice when an enemy is defeated (Prov 24:17-18), but the Psalms sometimes reflect the honest emotions of people who have been unjustly treated, such as in Psalm 137:8-9, “Fair Babylon, you destroyer, happy those who pay you back the evil you have done us! Happy those who seize your children and smash them against a rock.” This particular verse is like some others in the Psalms; it almost seems embarrassing. But in fact it doesn’t condone infanticide at all; it’s merely an emotional expression by those who have been “done wrong”—a very natural reaction and emotion. Lesson? Let’s not be too hard on those who feel a deep sense of release because justice has been done. In the end though, we all must forgive.
Osama bin Laden was a coward.
He was responsible for killing thousands of people and then hid.
Cowards do that.
They run and hide.
Terrorists will never change things.
They are outnumbered and Allah is NOT on their side.
If there is a hell, then bin Laden is there.
So are some of his friends.
George Vreeland Hill
Just wanted to join this great nation in celebrating and give you the inside scoop on how to show your patriotism with the official “Trauma to Osama” theme song. Cali Boi’s Danger is going to be the official theme song for Bin Laden’s death. ? Wow, this is amazing that we took Bin Laden’s worthless life like we did. As an insider for MTV, I can already tell you that the official theme song will be played at the “Trauma for Obama” ball at the White House next week. Some of the other nominations were pretty dope too, but I give props to MTV for choosing that song. He got off too easy, I would have tortured him like in the movie Saw. That would have been dope, huh? Could have started a business and sold pay per view to people that wanted to watch and maybe even tortured him inside a stadium, that way we could sell live TV seats! Don’t you love laissez-faire capitalism? God Bless this Nation. What up, what up, yo, that was tubular! Throw it down for the red, blue, and white!

I was saddened upon hearing the news. Presuming he died unrepentant, he is likely a lost soul. I pictured the Prodigal Son’s father, waiting anxiously at the end of the road for a son who would never return.
In truth, the point at which we could hope to arrive is where our quiet resolve be capable of managing the breaking of our hearts as we move against the likes of bin Laden. Politics are incapable of speaking to this.
I thought it was telling that this happened on Divine Mercy Sunday and also the day Pope John Paul was beatified. I felt like he was helping in some way.
I would certainly agree that the death of Osama Bin Laden is cause for celebration on one hand because it means he won’t hurt anyone again, and if he is in Hell he is certainly getting his just deserts. On the other hand, it is still sad that he dead an unrepentant sinner because God loved him as much as any other man.
@Bob Stanley, anyone who is not a friend of Jesus is an enemy of God. Anyone who does not obey Jesus is not a friend - that puts us all in line as enemies from time to time at least. So should all be destroyed? We’ve all sinned and fall short of God’s glory. Some of us have lived to have the opportunity to repent. You could say to yourself, that your sins are not as bad as his. He killed people, right? New Testament also makes clear any of us who’ve spoken a hateful word against others have committed murder as well.
I would not say I am a fan of the man and I am thankful he personally is one less person on this earth who can kill Christians and Jews, but we should be careful not to celebrate the demise of one of God’s creation. If we love the Creator, we should also love the creation, no matter how twisted it (he) has become. Bin Laden believed a lie, followed it and destroyed many because of deception. We also fall for many of Satan’s lies. Be cautious to not set yourself up as one who is perfect. Unless in his last moments on earth he came to know the Lord Jesus, he now is tormented in hell, which I suspect is the case most likely. Praying for his soul in not necessary. Rather pray for the souls of the men, women and children he led astray. Pray against the schemes of the devil. Pray all will come to know the joy and salvation of Jesus.
If Christ can say “Father forgive them…” to us and his killers , then we as Christians no matter how hard and difficult it is for us , we must do likewise . We have died to the ways of this world ,and now, turn the cheek , and pray for all men, even the wicked ,we forgive them just as we have been forgiven our trespasses , and finally hope for even thier salvation .That is why we celebrate Divine Mercy , because all of these things are not the product or fruit of fallen human mercy .
Jeff:
We can forgive those that harm us and still understand that sanction for the crime is just, appropriate and instructive.
My opinion is that Jesus was asking His Father to forgive them, eternally. Earthly forgiveness would not be very helpful, if Jesus wasn’t asking for eternal forgiveness, would it?
In addition, obviously, in murder cases, the victim does not remain to offer forgiveness. Therefore, a murderers forgiveness is solely dependent upon their own state of repentance, God’s concideration of it, in the context of salvation.
Did we not all feel the same for Saddam? The only difference was that Saddam went to trial and was killed by his own people (government). I feared Bin Laden would’ve gone the same way.
Dudley, for a moment I thought you were talking about the Vatican; comment May 3rd, not Bin Laden, it still makes good sense.
As far as Saddam was concerned, with George Bush’s Catholic roots, I feared for America’s goodwill due to the indignity permitted showing him pubicly being “flead”.
Lynne:
Smile.
The loss of dignity by being “flead”, fairly falls into the microscopic inconsequential, when taking into consideration the 40-50,000 murdered or disappeared every year, the staggering tortures and the deaths of about 3 million Muslims, under his rule.
Bush’s perceived Catholicism is based upon his close relationship with the current Pope and his agreement with some of the Church’s major positions on social issues.
His brother Jeb converted to Catholicsm.
Bush is, I believe, a Methodist.
Dear friends I think what is most needed now is to pray for the conversion of the bin laden followers who hate the west, who hate christians, who hate jews, who hate what is good in the world and want to destroy it. In other words these men and women are led by the Evil One.
We must understand we are not just dealing with ‘evil men and some evil women’..—we are dealing with Evil which is leading them and which they have given themselves over to. This is why it is so hard for us to believe men can be this evil but yes they can and will continue to destroy because the devil is involved. So let me be the first one to say it….
We are fighting against Evil with a cap. E… we need God to help us .. and He will….
hope this is of some help to those who are wondering what to do next..

OK, Dudley, let’s see how sharp you are. Present the evidence of your phony data your kind love to spew about the President that’s saved your body from being murdered by those Muslims you seem sooooo concerned about. I don’t think you’ll be able from any reputable news source…but give it a try.

Number of Victims
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights_in_Saddam_Hussein’s_Iraq
According to The New York Times, “he [Saddam] murdered as many as a million of his people, many with poison gas. He tortured, maimed and imprisoned countless more. His unprovoked invasion of Iran is estimated to have left another million people dead. His seizure of Kuwait threw the Middle East into crisis. More insidious, arguably, was the psychological damage he inflicted on his own land. Hussein created a nation of informants — friends on friends, circles within circles — making an entire population complicit in his rule”.[9] Others have estimated 800,000 deaths caused by Saddam not counting the Iran-Iraq war.[10] Estimates as to the number of Iraqis executed by Saddam’s regime vary from 300-500,000[11] to over 600,000,[12] estimates as to the number of Kurds he massacred vary from 70,000 to 300,000,[13] and estimates as to the number killed in the put-down of the 1991 rebellion vary from 60,000[14] to 200,000.[12] Estimates for the number of dead in the Iran-Iraq war range upwards from 300,000.[15] up to 2 million.

The Iran/Iraq war, started by Hussein had between 500,000 and 2 million casulaties.

Dudley, his roots go back to great grandfather Walker, I’m not sure from what side, could be g,g. I’ll have to look it up.
He may have been an animal, but with all his attrocities, he served Bush senior well with private oil deals, whose son kissed the feet of the Rome to gain the Catholic vote I know, but what does it say about America’s leaders to treat him like a dog and yet allow the claim of dilomatic immunity, to avoid acountability for the crimes against humanity of thousands of our Catholic children around the world.
First it was Saddam now it’s Gaddafi both non Catholics.
Let Lombardi speak about Mugabe, a Catholic being give the royal treatment attending te Beatification of John Paul 11.
It’s all out of sinc.
@Dudley Sharp
“Number of Victims”
My mistake, I apologize. I thought your reference was to President Bush. I see now it was to Saddam Hussein’s victims. I was the one that wasn’t very “sharp.” Thanks for correcting me.
Dudley, thanks for being so gracious, I’m afraid I’m not always so much so.
Smile Dudley; check the Bush H (Herbet W (Walker) family tree, there are Scottish Catholic roots with a planned priesthood by the family and the marriage to a Protestant the family so upset, they refused to attend the wedding.
Yes Jeb did convert to Catholicism and George Junior, a Methodist, planned to follow no doubt to gather the Catholic vote or maybe it was his spiritual inheritance breaking through.
That information is on the internet, not he book I have somewhere.
What also was of interest was the families connection with the rise of Hitler.
Not surprising in the world of power and politcs, we were giving him a helping hand to, Hitler I mean.
YOU HAVE GOT, GOT, GOT, TO BE KIDDING ME.
It is a sham put up job, how can so many people believe this crap? My gosh fairytales ended in the 3rd freaking grade people. WOW.
THE DAY BIN LADEN WAS SHOT WITH A BULLIT TO HIS HEAD! I WATCHED IN HORROR PEOPLE CHEERING? I FELT A DEEP SENSE OF SADNESS AS WE SHOWED NO MERCY, ON THE DAY OF DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY, THE BEATIFICATION OF POPE JOHN PAULII, AND THE DAY HITLER WAS KILLED? I FELT SICK IN MY HEART’ ON A DAY WE COULD OF SHOWED THE WORLD WE WERE MORE THAN WHAT PEOPLE THOUGHT, WE SHOULD OF HAD LOVE IN OUR HEARTS! JESUS GAVE US A NEW COMMANDMENT’ TO LOVE GOD ABOVE ALL ELSE AND LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF’. WE SHAll BE JUDGED WITH THE SAME MEASURE WE JUDGE OTHERS! WHEN CAIN KILLED ABEL OUR LORD SAID YOU WILL HAVE A MARK PLACED ON YOUR FOREHEAD” IF ANYONE KILLS YOU THEIR PUNISHMENT WILL BE WORSE” SO WE ARE NO MORE THAN TERRORISTS OURSELVES” WE PICK AND CHOOSE WHO WILL LIVE! THIS BABY YES, THE NEXT ONE NO, WE EXTERMINATE AND PERFORM GENOCIDE ON OUR OWN RACE! WHY DO WE THINK WE ARE BETTER? GOD SAYS ALL LIFE IS PRECIOUS TO HIM, AND HE WANTS TO SAVE ALL OF US,EVAN THE MOST CRUEL TERRORIST” GOD SAYS VENGEANCE IS MINE! YOU SHALL REAP WHAT YOU SOW”. WHY DO WE THINK WE CAN PLAY GOD” THE DAY IS COMING< NO ONE KNOWS THE HOUR ,TIME, IT WILL COME LIKE A THIEF IN THE NIGHT. WHAT SHALL WE TELL GOD WHY WE DID THESE TERRIBLE ATROCITIES? WHAT REASON COULD WE DEFEND? THERE IS NONE!
@michele perez
What about all those innocent people on the air planes? What about all those innocent people in those buildings that came down? What about all their families and loved ones? Where’s your love and compassion for them? Where is all your love and compassion for his future victims he kept trying to kill?
9/11 was avoidable. President Clinton let him go for what ever the reason when he could have been killed years before 9/11 saving all those innocent people. What do you think God would have wanted done when Clinton had the opportunity to put an end to bin Laden’s terror before it reached our shores? You think God wanted all these people murdered? Is that God’s will in your opinion? We are just supposed to accept evil and not kill it when we can?
I blame Catholics for this happening. 52% of the Catholic votes went for Clinton in his first election. And 50% voted for him the second time around. Clinton is responsible for what happened. He kept three branches of government responsible for protecting us from communicating with each other for what ever the reason. When leads were given by private citizens to an agency, they could not be cross checked with the other agencies because of Clinton’s order - resulting in the genius of evil being able to work its will. Perhaps God is sending us a message because of Catholics continuing to elect pro-abortion politicians to the highest level of government in the United States. Did you ever think of that? Did you ever think that this all goes back to Jimmy Carter, who Catholics helped elect? Carter allowed the radical Muslims to come to power in Iran, and we have had to deal with that ever since. Now Iran is developing nuclear weapons and will use them to destroy Israel. Are we supposed to just let that happen, too? Just what is God telling you we should be doing with such evil?
Whoever sent me a comment filled with hatred, is the reason we are in the situation we are, when people spread evil, hatred, murder, you are no better than the terrorist you hate, we were created to love, not hate or kill. You are not God and you cannot judge anyone only God can, I will pray for your soul, I hope you find peace in your life"If you hate catholics why are you on a catholic web site? I feel very sorry for you, to have to carry around all that anger and hatred. God give you guidance.
Your going overboard, michele, back off a little just listen to what is being said. There is something in the logic.
Michele:
If we do not judge, we cannot make judgemsnts as to what is morally right or wrong, cannot judge if a religion or other belief systems is worth our time or not.
Without judgement, we are nothing.
Every comment you have made here and elswhere requires you to make a judgement.
@michele perez
You did not answer a single one of the 12 questions I asked you. Instead you went off on a tangent accusing me of “hatred.” From your original posting it is obvious that you are a passionate person. But passion without reason can lead to confusion. For instance, I blame Catholics for what has happened in and to our country, as I said in my post to you, because Catholics profess to believe God creates each one of us. When we were created, God gave us our soul which will live forever; our bodies will die, but are souls won’t. We will be reunited with our soul on judgment day. That is a fundamental teaching that we Catholics profess to believe in Mass on Sundays. Yet, over half of the Catholics who profess to believe God gave us our lives, have given their name identification and support (votes) to a political organization that is diabolically opposed to what they say they believe and, may I add, pray for in the Lord’s Prayer (God’s will be done on earth). The result is that Catholics are the single, largest voting block for the pro-abortion party, and that party is responsible for the continued murder of 51,000,000+ American babies. (What, do such Catholics believe - God creates life for it to be aborted?)
Is it just a coincidence that since Roe v Wade there have been only three Democrat presidencies, and the decisions made by those presidents are directly responsible for the continuation of Roe v Wade, as well as for 9-11 and the economic chaos and tough times we have been dealing with since 2007? Carter’s abandoning an ally letting Iran be taken over by radical Muslims, and Clinton’s building walls between three federal agencies who were created to protect us, and his decision not to take out Osama bin Laden when it was possible pre 9-11 resulted in 9-11 and everything since. Both Carter and Clinton are responsible for the housing and financial melt down that started in 2007, and Obama is responsible making it worse by his and the Democrats’ uncontrolled spending, and his eliminating legal interrogation of terrorist that lead eventually to finding and killing of bin Laden.
This is not “hate speech,” this is historical fact speech. Actions have consequences. Catholics, at least those who give their names and votes to the pro-abortion party, have to take ownership of what their actions have caused all of us to have to experience. This not only applies to the laity, but to the clergy as well. Is this suffering we’ve been experiencing just a coincidence of bad decisions by three Democrat Presidencies, or is this God’s judgment on his Church? Actions have consequences, and these consequences are affecting all Americans.
Taking of any life is NOT a moment of joy for a follower of Jesus. Our human minds cannot encompass the knowledge of God and therefore we try to create God in our image, attributing our human earthly frailties to HIM. We have to stop judging all others but our own selves and in changing our own selves make the world a better place. We are each responsible for our own actions, which all have consequences. We are each accountable therefore for what we do. ‘In the measure we give God returns to us pressed down and overflowing’. I therefore resolve to do right and with love whatever I do.
WANT PROOF THAT THE DEATH OF OSAMA BIN LADEN IS A CONSPIRACY?
Scam artists have cornered the market on affiliate marketing education. Their sites use aliases, bogus whois info, and registrations in different states and countries. What are they hiding?
After many years researching, a link appeared on Armand Morin’s blog to Al-Qaeda. A number of these con artist’s faces matched up with the FBI’s MOST WANTED TERRORISTS.
Here are wanted terrorists, some for U.S. embassy bombings in Kenya & Indonesia. Do these two places ring any bells?

Many get rich quick scams serve as product placement for new cutting edge internet technologies, and logos, some sold through Clickbank. The people appearing in testimonials are part of the expansion of this organization and are often pitching other high priced products and services. They all link to one another through their marketing strategies and ability to optimize in search rankings.
Between the aliases the use, and the way in which they speak about things, everything they do has double meaning. Here is a code of look a likes pitching all sorts of stuff who are interconnected.
Selling a program on making millions online is Professor James Bradley who looks like the Pentagon bomber Bill Ayers.
Jay Conrad Levinson is behind a number of “guerilla” marketing and advertising books. He looks like George Soros, who’s last name is a (palin)drome. Soros has been credited for collapsing a number of nation’s currencies.
The Super Affiliate Handbook is sold by someone who looks like Jill Biden, her name is Rosalind Gardner. Some appear to represent people, more in how they pose, rather then a direct look a like. Stephen Pierce appears to represent radical Van Jones, Brett McFall-Austan Goolsbee, John Childers-Andy Stern, and Jay Abraham as Ayman al-Zawahri.
Problem with your Google Adwords PPC ads and can’t get a straight answer? You could try Yanik Silver who looks a lot like Sergei Brin, but he probably won’t know. He sells 33 Days to Online Profits (prophets.) Why not try Perry Marshall, who looks like Obama’s priest Reverend Pfleger? He sells The Definitive Guide To Google Adwords, infringing upon Google’s trademark.
Many more can be seen at Lorrie Morgan Ferrero’s Red-Hot-Copy.com blog such as; 72 Virgin Records Richard Branson, & White House Party Crashers the Salahi’s with Valerie Jarrett’s daughter.
The Rich Jerk sent out emails promoting Stompernet in Atlanta Georgia. The staff included Brad Fallon, an airline pilot, and Eben Pagan selling a seminar “Get Altitude”. 3 days after reporting this code to the FBI, Delta in Atlanta canceled a large number of flights due to safety reasons. In the Youtube videos related to the Rich Jerk, it appears that Mark Cuban is the Rich Jerk. He’s the billionaire who owns the Dallas Maverick’s basketball team. Think O’bomber or Barrac-uda Palin would play for him? Another guy claiming to be Robert Johnson Rich Jerk is Tony Rezko.
Obama announced his run for office on Oprah Winfrey’s show. Have you ever noticed that Oprah’s shopping friend Gayle King looks a lot like Whitney Houston? Did you ever think that her name could be a code, Whit_ney White-Hous_ton House?
In my strongest opinion this is the last piece of the puzzle, Osama Bin Laden is also a spokesperson, and a look-a-like. Osama represents Obama/Biden (Bi)n La(den.)
NOT CONVINCED THAT THE DEATH OF OSAMA BIN LADEN IS A CONSPIRACY? THEN WHY HAS THIS BEEN DELETED REPEATEDLY FROM MAJOR NEWS SITES?
Where are you Ryan May 9?; No scam, no crap, no put up job and no fairytale, in relation to my comment re Bush/s famly tree.
I located the scource and it was written by two men, Attorney John Loftus, into intelligence operations and researcher, consultant for CBS’s 60 Minutes, ABC"s Prime Time, a former prosecutor of the U.S. Justice Dept’s Nazi hunting-unit with unprecedented access to top CIA and NATO archives. The other an internationally award winning investigative reporter. Residing in Australia, he exposed Nazi war criminals and prompted changes to Australian Federal Law. 12 years research went into the book with over 500 former intelligence officers interviewed.
The Bush connection was a by product and not singled out as such.
Your library may have it if you want to take the time to read it, The Secret War Against The Jews. ISBN 0-312-11057-X.
You’d be surprised what went on and as you yourself wouldn’t believe it other’s probably wouldn’t either. It’s a great historical reference.
