A beautiful voice very well known to the Register has just entered hospice, and we now ask our dear readers to pray for her on this feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes.

COMMENTARY: We all need healing — most of all from the Lord God who made us to love and be loved for all eternity.
The Mass setting, which honors Our Lady of Lourdes, will be inaugurated Feb. 11 at the Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland, California, and air on EWTN. Composer Frank La Rocca notes that this new Mass ‘honors those who suffer indignity with their illnesses and yet, through the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes, still maintain their faith in God’s providence.’
The Holy Father said it is crucial that the whole Church strives to follow the example of the Good Samaritan. The 31st-annual World Day of the Sick will be marked on Feb. 11, the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
