U.S. President Donald Trump has eliminated the National Science Foundation board, citing “constitutional questions” raised in a 2021 Supreme Court case.
COMMENTARY: If young Catholics believe science and faith are in conflict, the Church must show them why the two belong together.
The initiative is designed to address the issue by educating young people and giving them a forum to ask scientists their questions.
Four of the invited speakers will discuss the possibility of extraterrestrial life from their respective fields of study - astrophysics, astrochemistry, evolutionary biology, and Catholic theology.
The first conference of the Society of Catholic Scientists will be held April 21-23.
