“The Christian who seeks to purify himself of his sin and to become holy with the help of God’s grace is not alone.” (CCC 1474)
We do not know the Last Day. But we do know that we must prepare for Christ’s glorious return every day by our fidelity to the work of his grace within our hearts. That is enough for us.
Individual sin, however private it may have seem, always has an effect on others.
COMMENTARY: The ashes of Ash Wednesday are directly connected to the human desire to return to inner integrity.
