For Labor Day, Father Oubre encouraged parishes, dioceses, and other institutions to make sure to adopt policies that put Catholic labor teaching into practice.
The U.S. bishops have urged the passage of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act and ‘social policies in ways that are pro-woman, pro-family, pro-worker and, thus, authentically pro-life.’
COMMENTARY: If we want to support workers, we should do what Jesus and his Church would do, not what Karl Marx and socialists would do.
COMMENTARY: The lack of entry-level jobs with reasonable wages is an injustice toward today’s young adults and a source of future crisis.
