One year after the FBI’s Richmond office sent out a memorandum outlining an investigation into traditionalist Catholics, a Latin Mass was held in the U.S. Capitol with the support of House Speaker Mike Johnson and two other Republican members of the House.

The hearing followed the unveiling of the House Judiciary Committee’s report detailing the results of a monthslong investigation into a leaked internal FBI memo that discussed investigating Catholics as potential domestic terrorists.
The lawsuit notice points out that the FBI and DOJ ignored the fact that, as a volunteer at the Community Women’s Center of America pregnancy center, he had equal standing under the FACE Act, among other concerns related to violation of his rights.
Wray made the remarks at the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee’s hearing on Tuesday.

The new documents were only made available to the House Judiciary Committee. The FBI has requested that the committee not disseminate the documents without consulting it first.
House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, argued that the Department of Justice and the FBI are selectively enforcing the FACE Act and other laws in ways that target pro-life activists and conservatives but let pro-abortion and left-wing activists off the hook.
Nicole Neily, the founder of Parents Defending Education, told the committee her office worked with parents who became worried about speaking against their school boards following the memo.
