‘These recipes are hands-on activities in the kitchen,’ says Louisiana’s Father Robert Cooper, ‘designed to bring Jesus back to the family.’
‘Food is recreation and we all need to have fun,’ says Father Matthew Mauriello, ‘but the Lord is the most important.’
“The culinary variety is also an expression of the rich culture of peoples and nations around the globe,” says the Virginia priest, “some of which I have been privileged to visit over the years.”
A cooking show originating from a parish in the Archdiocese of New Orleans is a hit on the internet.
Father Joseph Yokum’s cooking passion started about the same time he decided to become a priest.
Father John Pendzick and two dozen other priests raised $220,000 for local parishes during the cooking event.
“The more you live out your sonship with God,” says Father Lungren, “the better your life will be.”
