Love her or hate her, but you cannot ignore her. Whether you think she’s a good presidential candidate or not, the new film, “The Undefeated,” about Sarah Palin, opens in select theaters on July 15. A look at the teaser trailer for the movie shows Palin as a wife, mother, and warrior who successfully took on the Republican establishment and big oil.
The movie premiered in Iowa at the end of June. Come July 15, it will be showing in theaters in Indianapolis, Phoenix, Orlando, Grapevine, Texas; Oklahoma City, Orange, California; Independence, Missouri; Houston, Kennesaw, Georgia; and Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
The documentary chronicles Palin’s time as governor of Alaska and her rise to Vice Presidential candidate. It was written and directed by award-winning filmmaker and co-founder of the National Tea Party Federation, Stephen K. Bannon. Palin’s aides approached Bannon about the possibility of producing a film. The Victory Film Group provided the financing for the film.
The Los Angeles Times described the film’s first three minutes as difficult to watch, as the movie features a stream of prominent celebrities vitriolic and often vulgar attacks on Palin.
“She draws a pathological dislike because she’s an existential threat to the establishment,” said Bannon. “She represents the people and working class values and that’s a threat.”
“The film shows Governor Palin is much more than just a ‘Caribou Barbie’ and explores the obstacles that she faced as she confronted the vested interests in her own state,” said Erica Hawksworth of CRC Public Relations.
One thing the film doesn’t do is answer the question everyone is wondering…“Is she going to run?” It does, however, set the stage. As Bannon has said, “She’s always been underestimated.”

This film is simply another publicity stunt to make Palin what she really wants…. not the presidency, but cold hard CASH. Palin is for $ale and is making it rich on your dime with every book, speaking engagement, and movie ticket that markets her image and sells her looks (it’s certainly not her choice of words which got her this far.) Just watch her rolling in the money with an indecent proposal on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/06/ecstasy-of-sarah-palin_15.html
I was one of the people who saw the premier. If you read her autobiography, none of the film will be news to you. She’s the real deal and it is scaring both the establishment Republicans as well as the Dems!
Brandt Hardin, you are such an idiot, claiming the Sarah Palin is only out there to make a buck in your comment—which is only out there to make you a buck! And when was the last time you saw this kind of ridiculous, 8th grader “art” about a female Democrat….
Yes, she is such a fighter and righteous in here cause that she QUIT in the middle of her first term. LOL. She was defeated.
Oh, and at the opening of this film and exactly one person in the audience at the orange county opening - and that one person was a reporter looking to interview people for reviews. Nobody showed up.
Oh, yah, DCH, no one showed to see the movie!
An Atlantic Monthly reporter went to the MIDNIGHT opening, not because he personally was interested, but because he wanted to “interview folks who decided to attend.” Right. He wanted to interview people (he even thought he might see friends of his grandparents!) at the MIDNIGHT showing. Are we supposed to believe that he picked a showing in the middle of the night to get a good group of people to interview? Are we really supposed to believe that he thought he’d run into his grandparents’ friends there, at MIDNIGHT to watch a 2 hour movie? Or be surprised that a midnight showing draws a great, big Harry Potter crowd, and a small Sarah Palin crowd?
BTW, the movie also shows at 10:15 am, 1:19 pm, and 4:05 pm. At that theater. I bet he could have talked to a lot of people at any one of those showings…but that was not really his agenda, was it.
Follow Up
Sarah’s movie’s indeed tanked as predicted - she came and went in a blink
Week 1: rank 45 gross $76,718 Screens: 10
Week 2: rank 57 gross $30,280 Screens: 14
Week 3: rank 65 gross $6,125 Screens 4 (yes 4)
By week-two the take dropped in half. By week-three it was dead.
The free market does not like Palin.
So you could see this stupid movie in a total four locations by the third weekend!
They will screen it in wingnut churches for free.
There was no week 4. So this is over. The thing flopped completely. Sarah’s braindead fan base failed to show up.
I’d bet that Sarah extracted a up front fee that is buried above-the-line in the production cost. After all risk taking is for losers - not Sarah Palin. The project is a huge loss for the investors.

This is all out of Politics 101. When faced with a candidate that is very charismatic and resonnates with the people as opposed to the elite political class, use ridicule and hatred to try and take the person down. Face it you are afraid she is going to be successful and defeat the politicians who support your special interests. your remarks tell us more about you than her.

Successful at what - she QUIT mid term from a high elected office - that is an epic failure to follow through. She cannot win another high office. She quit to take TV contracts. Then she decided to try the big screen - and flopped.
I simply reported the box office facts that indicate that the free market has rejected her now.
Her investors took a bath when they backed her movie idea. No one will make that mistake again.
“Sarah Palin NOT Coming to a Movie Theater Near You.”
There, I fixed it.
