Catholics Come Home, one of my favorite Catholic apostolates, has released a couple of new commercials as part of their continuing campaign to call Catholics back to the Church. If you haven’t yet watched their commercials, do yourself a favor and watch them. They’ll give your faith a positive shot in the arm.
Their newest commercial, “Home”, which will be broadcast this coming Advent, invites people to “experience the peace that only comes from God.” It’s a message that the apostolate hopes will resonate with viewers during these tough economic times.
Catholics Come Home is also debuting a new Spanish-language commercial for their sister-site, CatolicosRegresen.org. This testimonial-style commercial features Hollywood actor and producer Eduardo Verastegui. Verastegui, star of the film “Bella,” shares his story of returning to his Catholic roots.
“There is nothing greater than to wake up every day and to use your talents that God gave you to serve Him and to serve others,” said Verastegui during the shoot. A behind-the-scenes video, featuring Verastegui and Catholics Come Home Founder and President Tom Peterson, is also available.
Also, Catholics Come Home has launched a new outreach ministry - EncouragePriests.org. Check it out. It’s a top-notch site that allows you to create inspiring and encouraging messages, prayers, and spiritual bouquets for your favorite priests.

Tom Peterson is doing a great service for Our Lord and His Church. I wish that every diocese in the world would use the resources from Catholics Come Home to bring everyone “home” to the Catholic Church. Tom is on fire for the faith as all of us should be to help Jesus save souls.
Tim,
I agree with you about CCH. Tom just spoke to a group I’m in. I do want to mention a couple of other outreach ministries that have been around for awhile, www.vocation.com and www.whynotpriest.org.
Both the vocation websites mentioned above are hosted by the Legionaries of Christ. Given the total refounding of their order that is now underway, it is best to seek vocation discernment assistance elsewhere.
I am going to pray for this ministry because it is so wonderful. It is too bad that reporters in the media, when they cover this initiative, always contact SNAP so that they can get an ugly quote. I hope this ministry brings much success. I have come back home to the Catholic Church and my life is so much more joyful and on track now.
