Democrat Leader Operated Abortion Clinic

Tuesday, June 07, 2011 10:58 PM Comments (73)

If there were any question what type of blood runs through the veins of the Democrat party, this piece should answer that question. Abortion money is the life-blood of the Democrat party.

Not only were the Democrats willing to shut down the entire federal government to keep taxpayer money flowing to Planned Parenthood; not only is the Obama administration willing to cut off Medicaid funding for millions of poor people in Indiana to keep the money flowing to Planned Parenthood; but now in a shocking development, we find that the Congresswoman selected by the Democrat party to recruit candidates for Congress founded, owned, and operated an abortion clinic.

My co-blogger Matthew Archbold has a report at Creative Minority Report that details how Rep. Allyson Schwartz of Pennsylvania, who has been tapped to run candidate services for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, owned and operated a business that butchered babies and women.

One fact that has gone unmentioned in all the media reports trumpeting Schwartz’s ascendancy is that Allyson Schwartz, besides having a perfect pro-abortion record in Congress, co-founded and acted as Executive Director of an abortion clinic in Philadelphia for 13 years (1975-1988).

The clinic was called the Elizabeth Blackwell Center which is ironic because Blackwell, the first female physician in the U.S., was pro-life.

The clinic was not without its troubles. The Philadelphia Daily News quoted a call from a Republican candidate that detailed an assortment of lawsuits against the clinic:

“18 lawsuits have been filed against Miss Allyson Schwartz’s clinic, including assault, battery, negligence, perforated bowels and uteruses,” the woman said, “and even abortions performed without consent of her patients.

In 2002, the Blackwell clinic declared bankruptcy due to diminished demand for abortion and stiff competition in the area. In its last year, the center still performed about 1,500 abortions. According to the Daily News, the center derived its largest share of revenue from abortions.

You have to understand how important Schwartz’s new position is for the Democrat party. The abortionist Schwartz will be in charge of recruiting, vetting, and influencing considerable funding for all Democrat candidates for Congress.

Since leaving the abortion business, Schwartz has remained just as committed to abortion.

Since Schwartz left the abortion business, she hasn’t forgotten her past. NARAL has consistently rated Schwartz a perfect 100 score. EMILY’s List, the radically pro-abortion PAC, has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Schwartz, giving her campaign far more than any other organization. According to one site, EMILY’s List donated almost $500,000 to Schwartz.

In return, Schwartz voted against the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act, the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act, and the Stupak Amendment. Schwartz even sponsored the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) which would have erased all federal, state, or local limitations on abortion up to an including the ninth month of pregnancy.

And this is the woman who will largely decide which candidates will be selected. The unholy alliance between the Democrat party and big abortion has moved to the next level. The Democrat party IS big abortion.

Why have members of the Democrat Party allowed these kind of people to hijack their party?

For the same reason that the Republican Party has often been hijacked by big business; they want more money.  Both parties, I think, have shown a willingness to compromise on their values when enough money or reelection is on the table.

The Democrat Party is the party of death. Yet many Catholics, some blindly I add, still vote Democrat even if it means supporting pro-abortion candidates in favor of pro-life ones. These people are putting their immortal souls in jeopardy.

Like I have said before, the Democratic Party, its candidates and congress members are paid for, and dictated to by the abortion mafia.
How many more discoveries are needed to connect the dots?  This abortion mafia has effectively taken over our government - and this isn’t a “conspiracy theory” - this is the unfortunate reality.  Even so, we still need to pray hard, vote smart, and work to educate others so we can wrestle back our government from this death grip hold that big abortion has on our elected ones as well as the process itself.

Thanks lads for this expose!

MarylandBill
I think both parties have been hijacked by big business. The Democrats expanded the bank bailout, orchestrated the auto bailout, and gave a big gift to the insurance companies with Obamacare.
They say 1 thing about big business and do another. Big business has them in their pockets. That’s where the donations come from.

The dems were hijacked by big unions; the gop was hijacked by big business.

Abortion is intrinsically evil.  “Big business” is not.

Monica, greed is intrinsically evil.  That is not to say abortion and greed are equal, just pointing out that both sides have picked their intrinsic evils.

Why the urge to describe these decisions as a hijacking?

They Evil Party hates The King of Kings, Our Lord and Saviour, and The Evil Party does not take the decisions lightly or take them while ignorant of the backgrounds of those they elevate to important positions.

Give The Evil Party credit for the evil they choose to do and please stop describing the evil that they do as being the result of some hijacking.

They know what they are doing and they are not taking these decisions because some brigands have a gun pointed at them.

Generalizing that all “big business” is greedy is extremely judgmental.  There are no doubt many problems with greed in corporate enterprises, but let’s not take it to this extreme of saying all who work for and run large corporations are operating on this vice.  All those who work in the abortion industry, however, are committing intrinsically evil acts.

When will the tu quoque end? When will the Democrat Party’s devotion to abortion on demand be addressed on the merits by that party’s apologists without resorting to their time-honored knee-jerk response of “Oh yeah, well the Republicans ....”? Why do they continue to assume that anyone who criticizes the Democrats for their devotion to abortion on demand must be a Republican? Address the point on the merits without trying to deflect attention away from the Democrat’s horrendous record on abortion.

And, besides, to equate devotion to “Big Business” with a devotion to abortion on demand throughout all 9 months of pregnancy betrays a seriously warped perspective. I mean, really? Not that I’m going to make any excuses for any party being devoted to “Big Business” at the expense of the little guy, but it hardly registers on the moral scale to the wholesale slaughter of the unborn, the legality of which the Democrats will even go so far as to shut down the government or deprive the poor of medical treatment (see Matt Archbold’s post from earlier this week) to preserve.

Finally, the Democrat Party is just as in bed with “Big Business” as the Republicans. If “greed” is an intrinsic evil on par with abortion, as one previous commenter alluded earlier, then the Democrats have both abortion AND greed going against them.

Thanks Pat for even more information on the Party of Death. Not only is the Democratic Party in bed with big abortion, they are also pushing same-sex “marriage”, perverted “sex education” in our schools and embryonic stem cell research….all intrinsically evil. Please, the Democrats love big business…as long as they contribute to the Democratic Party. They condemn rich people as “evil” but it’s ok if they are rich! The Democratic Party has become so perverted how can ANY Catholic keep supporting them? Wake up Bishops/Priests/ Catholics!

Jay Anderson: Excellent comment!!!!

This is disgusting, even for the Democrats. As someone from Steve Driehaus’s (former) district, I know from experience that abortion trumps everything. As far as I know he is STILL suing the Susan B. Anthony list for “lying” and saying he is not really prolife. He sold his soul but doesn’t seem to like the consequences, because it didn’t work out for him the way it worked out for Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden.

The disenfranchisement of every human being of all unalienable human rights held in trust for them by God, by their parents and by the state is codified to protect the execution of one human being for the sins and crimes of another. The inviolability of the sovereign person begotten when two become one, and WHO is endowed by our Creator with unalienable Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness is aborted. Human sacrifice is the worship of the devil prohibited by our First Amendment. The devil has no soul. Worshipping the devil cheats humanity of its soul, of human virginity, innocence, sovereignty, Truth, Justice and the American Way… and they levy taxes to enforce their crimes against humanity.

Gail Finke: Joe Biden has been called to the Vatican to speak with Pope Benedict XVI as was Nancy Pelosi. You are not Catholic unless you are Catholic. One Hail Mary for Pope Benedict XVI.

The real presence of the human person in the womb, when two become one, is proven by science through DNA, by the Culture of Life when a woman becomes a mother at conception of the newly begotten sovereign person, the soul of whom is created by our Creator and is immortal, by our constitutional posterity “to provide the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity” Let my people free, give us liberty, not death.

Is it okay to remain silent while the GOP continues to play politics with the economic livelihoods of everybody in the country when it comes to the debt ceiling debate (which shouldn’t even occur in the first place! Republicans are fond of using family budgets as a handy catchall parallel talking point while discussing budgets, etc., “We can’t keep spending more than we take in ...” and so forth. All the while they’re willing to play a dangerous cat n’ mouse game with a little “beggar thy neighbor” thrown in when it comes to helping out districts that’ve been whacked by tornadoes, etc. BUT, don’t bills have to be paid? And when is it okay for bankers to go belly up and be pleaded for, but families get the lectures on the need to pay their bills?)
I smell some similar gamesmanship going on in Indiana. While it’s altogether right and noble to save as many unborn babies as possible; have we stopped to consider the wider implications of this shortterm game of what might appear to be “good politics” but a gamble with other peoples’ lives that could turn into a long nightmarish embrace of even more draconian fiscal nightmarish scenarios where people needing medicaid for other reasons ... just to stay alive, too ... if that’s not asking too much, stand to lose out, and without even so much as any adequate health care coverage, their only option is to rely on their individual family members as their hospice teams.
If they’re fortunate, their churches, synagogues and mosques will help out. Gosh by golly, doesn’t that smack of those good ol’ days before pre-Medicare/Medicaid were signed into law by the DEMOCRATIC Pres. Johnson with Harry Truman sitting by and receiving the first pen LBJ used?  What a coincidence.
When I say, “If they’re fortunate,” I’m working on hopes that whatever Church, denomination, branch of Judaism or Islam will have sufficient funds set aside to handle the number of poor they’ll be swamped with caring or setting up hospice teams for. Even good works cost money.
I can just hear it now, here comes the anvil choir of “Where in the Bible does Jesus say we have to provide government health care and take care of others out of my tax dollars?” Well, didn’t Jesus say “Give unto Caesar what’s Caesar’s and the Temple what goes to the Temple”? He didn’t have to say what it would be used for then, so why should we demand some explanation that didn’t apply then to apply now ONLY TO JUSTIFY A SPIRIT OF TIGHTFISTEDNESS THAT DARE NOT SPEAKETH ITS NAME OR BETRAY ITSELF ONE WAY OR ANOTHER? Surely Jesus wouldn’t have supported many of Rome’s worst offenses to His Father. But that’s not mentioned either; yet funny how it never became a question until the past several years when it became fashionable to trash “social justice” as a means of covering up what’s really lurking beneath the surface: “Hey, I’ve got mine and don’t bother me with any more expectations ... if the poor are that way, well, maybe there’s a reason and that’s their problem, not mine.”
So along comes this fiscal conservative Mitch Daniels and he hits on PPF (perhaps with a little nudging from one of his constituents and state’s Congressional Delegation, representing Muncie? Oh yeah, that guy, Mike Pence. What’s the “solution” to cutting off PP? Tie it to Medicaid, claiming fungibility. Why not bring in the rest of the THE ENTIRE U.S. GOVERNMENT’S BUDGET? Oh, well, can’t touch the Pentagon; especially any programs that GOP members have fought hard to get for their districts? Nope, that won’t do. So, Medicaid gets it. Well, it’s closest to it, that I’ll admit. But this also stands to risk denying the elderly and developmentally disabled people their rooms in nursing homes, and whatever other services they receive through Medicaid. The mere fact that some of these elderly have been staunch opponents of abortion all their lives matters zilch. Books have to balanced! (“Pssssst, the geezers have already enjoyed their full lives ... BUT IF WE CAN USE THEIR MEDICAID FUNDING AS HOSTAGE, BY EXTENSION HOLD THEIR LIVES AS HOSTAGE AS WELL, TO FORGE A STRONGER COALITION BETWEEN FISCAL CONSERVATIVES AND THE FAMILY VALUES CROWD, WOW, WHAT A POWERPLAY.”)
Yes, if these allegations about Rep. Schwartz hold up, she’s got to stand down or the party leadership has to say, “too much” and ask her. If they don’t, well, they will have a HUGE problem on their hands. The Schwartz matter is merely “inside baseball” stuff at this moment. The hostage-taking BS in Indiana over PPF and Medicaid pulled by the newer-leaner-n’-meaner GOP governors and congressional “leaders” is the stuff we need to keep our eyes more focused on.
Eric Cantor R-VA, let all the cats out of their bag recently with his callous treatment of the Joplin disaster. I can’t wait till news gets out that people who lost their homes and businesses in western Massachusetts due to its whacking by three twisters a week ago, one smack dab in the heart of Springfield, when they find out that federal funds promised by their state Congressional Delegation, all of a sudden are slow in making their way up north due to a “procedural question” ever so-slowly being pondered by the Republican House.
What Cantor said about Joplin, what’s happening in Indiana, and what could happen in MA and other states where GENERAL, but already paid for via taxes, Federal Funds, meets the ever-so-small-minded GOP political “leadership” looking for more ways to pit the nation’s various interests and regions against each other so in hopes that a much angst-ridden populace will call on the President to give the House whatever it wants to make sure our nation’s economy doesn’t dive further into the tank, especially with its first ever national default if the ceiling isn’t raise in early August.
THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT SAVING BABIES.
THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT MORE JOBS.
THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT OUR NATIONAL REPUTATION.
THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN IF OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS GO IN THE TANK EVEN FURTHER.
THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN IF OUR INFRASTRUCTURE IS WORSE THAN A LOT OF DEVELOPING NATIONS.
THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN IF YOUR PARENTS WIND UP IN DEBTORS JAILS OR YOU DO BECAUSE YOU CAN’T KEEP UP WITH YOUR PAYMENTS TO SUPPORT THEM AND YOUR GROWING FAMILIES.
THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN IF YOUR MANUFACTURING JOB IS FURTHER THREATENED BECAUSE THEIR PALS IN STATE LEGISLATURES AND CORRECTIONAL AGENCIES HAVE CONTRACTED FOR IN-PRISON MANUFACTURING SWEETHEART DEALS WHERE PRODUCTS ONCE MADE BY UNION OR EVEN DECENTLY PAID NON-UNION WORKERS WILL BE REPLACED BY VIRTUAL SLAVE WORKERS? AM I OFF MY FEED? WELL, DOES YOUR COMPUTER USE MICROSOFT? ANY WOMEN READERS WEARING OR HAVE BOUGHT VICTORIA SECRET’S LINGERIE?
THEY DON’T GIVE A DAMN IF YOUR STREETS ARE LESS SAFE BECAUSE THE PRISONS HAVE BEEN PRIVATIZED BY PUBLICLY-HELD PRIVATE PRISON COMPANIES WHOSE ONLY GOAL IS TO WAREHOUSE AS MANY PEOPLE AS THEY CAN TO SATISFY THEIR INVESTORS.
DID THEY GIVE A DAMN ABOUT OUR BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN THEY SENT INTO HARMS WAY TO INVADE IRAQ ON FALSE GROUNDS? TALK ABOUT HAVING BLOOD ON SOMEBODY’S HANDS!
THEY ONLY GIVE A DAMN ABOUT MAKING OBAMA LOOK SO BAD AND TAKING FURTHER HITS ECONOMICALLY SO THAT HE’LL LOSE THE ELECTION.
AND WHEN IT COMES TO ABORTION, THE REPUBLICANS ONLY GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE ISSUE IS WHEN THEY CAN USE IT AND FINESSE N’ FRAME IT IN MUCH THE SAME MANNER THEY USED WILLIE HORTON TO USE THE HAND OLD “RACE CARD” THROUGH THEIR “GOTTA HAVE MORE LAW & ORDER” SLOGANEERING.
WAKE UP, AND STOP FALLING FOR THESE WEDGES THE GOP IS USING.
And for any remaining Democrats who’ve almost lost hope, DON’T. Maybe you’ve heard of this organization. If you haven’t, take a look:

You people are sick.  This attack on women’s health is going to come back and bite every Republican in the ass.  The Democrats are no pro-death, they’re pro family.  They are pro education.  They don’t want to see a rise in teenage pregnancy, abandoned babies, more foster children, or more money going into the welfare system.

Funding PP is a no brainer and it’s been proven over and over and over and over again that the 3% that is spent on abortions is not federal money.  You idiots are just too wrapped up in your own religious right (Reich!) to see it.

Dear Megan. As roughly one-half of all persons killed in the womb by abortion are female, it is fair to say that abortion is an attack on the health of women.

As for the males, well, who cares really. They are just teeny men who might grow-up and vote to defund the Josef Mengele Cartel, Planned Parenthood.

As for your Nazi slur, it is you who is in favor of the business once engaged in by the Nazi Angel of Death, Josef Mengele.

Megan, at best you are misinformed. Please seek out the truth. You’ll be happier in this life and the next.

Steven, why are you shouting?  Your rant is too long.  I don’t understand why some Democrats get so crazy when anyone talks against abortion.  It’s almost diabolical.

Tu quoque.

Now, it takes some people several paragraphs (and a lot of time that could be spent doing something far more productive than defending the Democrat abortion regime - the Donks must pay by the word or something) to say the exact same thing as those 3 syllables. But, any way you cut it, “tu quoque” is all they got.

Pathetic.

Fascinating how far people are prepared to go to protect their political ideology, even to the point of denying their faith.

Pat Archbold, another important, informative article.  It is interesting to see how it brings out the apologist for the Democrat Party who fear such information spreading through the Catholic community via Catholic newspapers.  They defend the pro-abortion supporters by attacking the motives of those fighting to make abortion illegal, throwing everything but the kitchen sink at them.  Odd, don’t you think, their tactics defending the wholesale murder of babies when Catholics profess to believe God is the giver of life?

stilbelieve: Yes, it is “odd” how pro-abortion people think, and try to justify their stand: I have found that if one believes a LIE, and trys to order one’s life around it, that one is forced to think in work-arounds - thus, effectively making it impossible to “think straight”.  The lie actually occupies a mental space that gets in the way of thinking logicly and rationally.  That is one of the reasons they will react so “irrationally” when confronted with the truth.  It causes them profound dissonance and the usual response from them is anger.  We see this in the angry faces and statements of pro-abortion demonstrators, and in speeches of those trying to defend and force abortion legislation on the rest of us.  They are quite an unhappy lot.  Let’s pray they find the peace of truth.

Steven,

Using all caps doesn’t make your argument any less dumb.

Let’s take this to my home. My grandmother died in a botched aborthion in LA. My mom was raised in a Catolic Home for Children. I never knew my grandmother.
There is a place for certain abortions BUT big medical business sees dollar signs in place of patient care. The more money, the more they slide in abortion for everyone, regardless. It is called GREED.
I have been on the Dike Bridge on Chappy and know why and how Ted killed Mary Jo, yet my neighbors and friends voted for him, knowing the facts, regardless, because he was a Democrat.
I have been both Democrat and Republican. The deal is this, the more greed, the more money, the more votes. The biggest donor whom put O in the White House is a BIG money kingpin, now playing with the Electoral College to defranchise most of the 50 state, when one thinks of BIGGGGG business, consider this WW2 Nazi sympathiser BIGGGG businessman. He is bigger than most and he is 1000% Democrat.
Most of the Republican businessmen I know are struggling to stay alive while we permit “outsourcing” our jobs to India and China. Stop outsourcing. Buy a Dell PC and call for support. They layed off all their USA support, including my kin, and moved it all to India. Thanks for the help, Congress. Thanks Dell, (which you are probably using to read this), your stock went up at the expense of my family. Michael Dell is laughing all the way to the bank. We need to fix America, the first things are to get this criminal out of the White House and try George Soros for treason.

Speaking of Dr Mengeles, he must have liked kids.  He gave them candy before he did his “Medical Experiments on them! These people were cruel, inhuman, monsters.  When the death camps were uncovered the world was in shock.  They vowed it would never be allowed to happen again.  Well it’s going on again 3800 BABIES butchered each day.  These monsters today even refuse to permit the babies to even be given pain killers because it might open the door to personhood being bestowed on them.  They are stabbed at the base of the skull with a forceps, their brains extracted and their skulls crushed, ripped limb from limb, extracted and reassembled in a gruesome puzzle make sure the parts are all there.  So much for another holocaust never being permitted to happen. In some abortions where the babies are born alive by mistake they are stuck in a corner someplace until they die.  Nevermind that it’s not supposed to be done, it is.  I heard the story of one abortionist aborted identical twins, and said too bad these would have been good to experiment on, Since they were still alive he held them under water until they died.  Someday the world will look back on this era in horror, just as we look back on the Nazie era and wonder how we could ever have permitted something like this to happen.  As Anne Frank said.,“Someday the world will be good again.  Yes it will, and when that time comes again, we will be thought just as evil and depraved as we think the Nazis were.  Shalom!

with such slanted views and misinformation, you’re column becomes the fox news of the national catholic register.  Do some of you realize that republicans will never make abortion illegal?  They use religious groups as chumps.  it’s the equivalent of the bell for a pavlovian dog and they know if they lose such an issue, you will never feel the need to vote.

Thankyou for stating the obvious that so many just don’t want to hear and so few have the guts to sat it….........

@jacqueline conarchy

“Do some of you realize that republicans will never make abortion illegal?”

Yes, you are right; it is going to take Independents and Democrats (with a conscience to vote along WITH the Republicans to bring an end to abortion-on-demand, and to pass a Right-to-Life Constitutional Amendment.  Catholics are an integral part of that ever becoming a reality.  But THAT reality will never be experienced until Catholic Democrats realize how immoral and hypocritical it is for them to profess with their own words in Church on Sunday to believe in God as the giver of life while they continue to give their name identification and votes to the pro-abortion Democrat Party.  Based on their words and actions, such Catholics must think God creates life for it to be aborted.  Hmmm, is God in contradiction with Himself; or, are those Catholics in contradiction with what they profess to believe and pray for?

“They use religious groups as chumps.  it’s the equivalent of the bell for a pavlovian dog and they know if they lose such an issue, you will never feel the need to vote.”

That’s a childish thing to say.  That is like saying a “professional” sports team of some kind will not try to win the National Championship because their fans will “never feel the need to” go to another game.  In addition, your statement is insulting to the intelligence and moral character of the “religious groups” you have in mind.  It is amazing to see how strangely the mind of the Democrat Party apologist has to work to justify their continued support for the pro-abortion party.  They rather remain a pro-abortion party supporter because they don’t want to be made to “feel” like a “chump” - proving once again their position is all about themselves - not the babies God creates.

It is interesting to read the justifications from those who support abortion. And insulting that it is happening on a Catholic Website. It is sacrilegious when they dare call themselves Catholics. The Teachings of the Catholic Church on Faith and Morals is explicit, authentic, unchangeable and God’s Truth.  God never contradicts Himself.  Abortion is murder most foul - killing a defenceless innocent God’s child in the very home that baby should be guaranteed absolute safety - its mother’s womb - is an unforgivable sin and most evil.  Yes, both your Political Parties belong to the god of mammon and merchants of death. My final word.  Anyone in any of those Parties who supports the murder of the innocents, pushes the recognition of the sexual perverts - calling themselves homosexuals, lesbians and other bestiality sick people, KNOW THEY ARE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF GOD’S COMMAND.  By their own actions - as Jesus Christ said - they have condemned themselves and brought calamity and God’s wrath on the whole American Nation.  Let us pray and pray very hard for this Nation which is now under the vice-like clutches of the Evil One and his High Priest enthroned in the White House. American has become a worse mass murderer and an evil Nation than the Hitler’s German Nazi

This information in its entirety should be publicized constantly starting in September, 2012.

If Schwartz is willing to cast the first rock from within the Democratic Party at Anthony Weiner, no saint, and a man who admitted he did wrong, I hope he stays in Congress and outlasts her by decades. Yes, he’s pro-choice, too, but with far less blood on his hands and he’s done more through the legislation he’s pushed to help working class people afford to bring more children into the world than a House full of Schwartzes.
What Weiner did was incredibly dumb and hurtful to his wife and embarrassing to his constituents. But compared to Allyson Schwartz’s other doings, it’s, politically and even morally speaking, chump change. Remember also, before a lot of Catholics go off on any moral chest-beating and “out with the bum” harrumph sessions, for years, even after JFK’s rumored extra-marital shennanigans became known, still had his portraits hanging in their homes. “St. John” had a very slow retirement, indeed.
Now, if we want to “get biblical” well, there’s always David to refer back to before we cast any further stones at Weiner or other pols who’ve done terribly dumb things insofar as sex is concerned. (This consideration hasn’t dawned on Rep. Schwartz apparently.) I just hope she isn’t followed by pro-choice Catholic pols on the Left or most hypocritically, our own reverse version of Henry Tudor, Newt Gingrich; sometime King of the (House) side of Capitol Hill who was carrying on with his aide who became his third wife while leading the charge to hound Bill Clinton out of office for his cover-up of his dalliances.
Well, judging by Mary42’s standards, I’ve already (rightfully ... of course!) handed myself over to the Grand Inquisitor for a duly appointed public BBQ’ing perhaps this afternoon…just by my questioning of the Republicans’ political games with abortion and their willingness to use it as a handy wedge weapon to do what they’ve really wanted to do for decades; and that’s scrap the social safety net(s) of SS, SSDI, Medicare and Medicaid, beginning in Indiana with Medicaid. Well! Giving Weiner support, even against the self-righteous Rep. Schwartz’s call for his resignation won’t help my cause I suppose. After all, I’m guilty as hell just for still supporting a pro-choice politician; even if I believe him to be unjustly the victim of a selective hounding campaign by a woman (who may also be a possible rival for Congressional advancement), with an axe to grind. After all, while it’s known that Weiner has long sought after NYC’s Mayor’s seat, that was never guaranteed, and Weiner could’ve decided to stay in Congress instead. Something Allyson Schwartz certainly had in the back of her mind.
See, I’m not in favor of abortion, or even committing some kind of slanderous and seditious activities of underminning the Church’s teachings or leading the faithful astray, etc. Explaining political realities does not make one a bigger sinner. Apparently, however, it does expose his big rear to a lot of otherwise very poor shots who couldn’t hit the back of a bigger barn, much less be able to focus on what’s really happening and who is really manipulating whom to a certain “what” that’ll leave more than just today’s poor at grave financial peril later when we can all least afford it.
Wake up folks. We’re being toyed with and the pols who love doing so know they can get away with it just by dangling the words “abortion” and “so and so is pro-choice” and how is this so ... we let them; quite openly, too.
Examine each and all candidates’ records and vote for the one who’s the MOST pro-life; not just the scammer who uses the words “pro-life” much like some Catholic pols in a liberal northeastern state who’ shamelessly put their KofC membership on their official statehouse websites.
Turn off Faux “news” and do some digging and less judging and stone throwing.

“Turn off Faux “news” and do some digging and less judging and stone throwing.”

Ah yes, blame it all on Fox News.  Congrats, at least you didn’t use all caps this time.  Now if only we can do something about the wall of texts that causes eyes to bleed every time someone reads one of your unintelligible screeds.

Elective abortion, choosing to kill the unborn, is wrong and the Democrat party supports it whole heartedly.  To state that the Republican Party sold out to “Big business” is a red herring meant to detract from the true issue of planned genocide.  But let us for the record point out that Republicans are for big business, small business, medium business, and I conclude, free market solutions to economic necessities, ie, business.  Now let us focus on the willing destruction of unborn children.  Does that not go against the first argument of institutional Democrats?  “This policy will hurt women and children the most”.  How can we take this often repeated argument seriously when their party platform/plank of abortion hurts women, ie mothers, and children, ie the unborn child, by design?  What is the second argument used against any conservative policy?  “You are just being a racist.”  Once again, how can we take this argument seriously from the Democrat Party when the abortion rate of minority children is significantly higher than other children?  It comes down to good versus evil.  Evil is in this world and will always seek to kill, maim, and destroy.  Abortion is just that.  The Democrat Party supports activities that kill children, maims mothers in the process while destroying families.  That is the plank of the Democrat Party in 2011.  This should come as no surprise as the plank of the Democrat Party 150 years ago was to keep slaves in bondage, harass and kill Republicans, of which former slaves were akin to, and divide the nation for selfish gain. (aka the KKK, a wholly Democrat institution)  The Republican Party was literally born out of a desire to free slaves and allows all men to prosper according to their God given talents.  The demagoguery of the Democrat Party lies, cheats, and deceives to keep their party faithful in line.  The truth will set them free one day and the unborn will no longer be a statistic, they will get to be people who grow up and can participate in society to choose for themselves how they want to live.  I look forward to that day and Give God all the Glory and Praise for when it comes.

What a great bumper sticker and key speaking point against the dem party.

Democrats-the party of abortion.

@Steve

“Examine each and all candidates’ records and vote for the one who’s the MOST pro-life”

The “MOST pro-life?”  Steve, how much weight should be given to the number of murdered babies in determining “MOST pro-life” that the candidate’s party affiliation is responsible for?  After all, each individual candidate becomes a member of a team, and that team is what produces the legislation.  So how are we suppose to factor in the team’s standing on the issue of murdered babies if, in fact (a term Pope John Paul II has used concerning the issue of Capital Punishment) the word “pro-life” means anti-abortion according to the media and to all pro-abortion groups, and especially to Democrats in the U.S. Senate during Supreme Court nomination hearings?

I meant @Steven; and, also, that “pro-life” means ONLY “anti-abortion” and nothing else to the groups I mentioned.

DemonRats are evils.

Why is this an Issue ? do we need more indigent babies & welfare recipient’s than we have now. I believe we should DEMAND that people who are not in favor of abortion should take one of the babies and rais it without any federal ,state support.

@Chuck,
Without any federal or state support?  So I would not be able to send it to public schools?  Can I at least take the standard deduction?

I would have to talk it over with my wife, but I could see us taking one, especially if it meant the difference of life and death for the baby.  That being said, I suspect that we would have to get in line behind the thousands, if not millions of parents in this country who are waiting to adopt a child.  Shoot, it is so hard to adopt a child in this country that people are going to China, Russia and other countries to adopt.

“I believe we should DEMAND that people who are not in favor of abortion should take one of the babies and rais it without any federal ,state support.”

Here is a paraphrase (from memory) of how the great Joe Sobran responded to this old saw: “And any Fireman who rescues a widow from a burning building should be made to marry that woman.”

Why is anyone at this late date surprised?  I also blame the Catholic Church for much of this.  Why did they not oust the pro-choice Kennedys, Pelosi, John Kerry, etc.,etc.  and all prominent democrats that have supported abortion over the years.  One could say it was for money.  Had the Church been more vocal many of these dems would not be in office but then the coffers wouldn’t have been as full on Sunday.  The Church needs to really step forward on this but, sadly, there are far too many liberals now entrenched in the Church be they in the supposed Catholic institutions or in a parish such as FrFlegger.

Vermont Crank you are truely a frightening individual.

When I posted earlier I should have included the pro-choice republicans also since there are alot of them too.

@AMB

“...I should have included the pro-choice republicans also since there are alot of them too.”

You are correct, and we have been battling them within the party as long as we have been battling the pro-abortion Democrat Party.  But fortunately there are a lot fewer pro-aborts in the GOP than in the Democrat Party, and they are not “in your face” with their position like the pro-aborts are in the Democrat Party.

jacqueline conarchy, you are 100% correct.
The USA needs a position that is NOT abortion on demand. Ther are times when a woman must make a choice to continue a pregnancy, due to very specific circumstances, not because of a night on the town. We also have an issue on the other side that is preganacy on demand, or a baby factory. Children are produced as human money cards so the parent can get more free income. These children are often the product of drug users and the children are on Federal and state assistancefor their entire lifetime. I see many, being raised by the grandparents, while mama boogies. The USA ppulation should look inwards, past the Dem and GOP to a person whom represents US, those that are not beholden to any party but believe that We are One Nation, Under God, With Liberty and Freedom for all. When we take God out of our USA, we should burn the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. If Sharia ever becomes law anywhere in the USA, it is time for another 1776.

Why is anyone at this late date surprised?  I also blame the Catholic Church for much of this.  Why did they not oust the pro-choice Kennedys, Pelosi, John Kerry, etc.,etc.  and all prominent democrats that have supported abortion over the years.

Nobody can oust a Catholic from the Catholic Church.  Even excommunication is a theologically medicinal sanction, meant to encourage repentance.  Some Bishops have been stepping up to the plate in warning individuals privately that they should not present themselves for Holy Communion.  But of course, many of these guys then dredge this up in public, and then whine about about how the Big, Bad Catholic Church is “persecuting” them.

@StillBelieve. I might be wrong, but I’m pretty sure the Church allows for voters on election days, if two candidates happen to be on record of being “pro-choice,” but one’s voting record or history indicates that he or she stands most likely to promote a course of action or policies that’ll reduce the number of abortions and incentives for people to choose them, that should be the old “better of two evils” to pick from. Not the greatest scenario, but looking at the paddock, there’s not a lot of real winners awaiting the bugle call for next year’s political triple crown, (primaries, convention, general election.)
Let’s pray we don’t get to the situation where a McCarthyite witch n’ whispering campaign starts up with local parish snitches are ever on the ready to pounce on their pastor’s door “with information” about so and so over this issue. That’ll clear out the pews like nothing else and we’ll look as petty as some of the most moss-back’d peckerwoods Bible Churches hosting inhouse spy networks the envy of old East Germany’s STASI for starters. No thanks. Let God sort this out.

Mary - you have summarized the spiritual mess we have willingly gotten ourselves into very well. God is Merciful, however, in allowing us to return to Him. But, time may be soon running out if we dont change our sinful ways.

Thank you, cr for being on God’s side.  The Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy - worldwide - should begin praying The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, specifically for America during the 3.00 O’clock Holy Hour.  But as you state, it may be too late.  The evil in America appears to have reached the Point of no Return. But, yes, God is merciful and prayers of the Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy - particularly the Apostles in that country - may just melt the hardened hearts of your Merchants of Death to see their evil ways and repent. That will save the lives of millions upon millions of unborn babies, not only in America, but also in countries like Kenya, where your Planned Parenthood-drafted Human Rights Provisions on Abortion on Demand, Introduction of Sex Education and supply of contraceptives to children from 10 years without the knowledge or consent of parents, Homosexuality and Same-Sex Union Clauses and other horrific bestialities and which were incorporated in our new Constitution under the Bill on Human Rights with conditions that ensure it shall never, ever be amended. We have never needed God’s Miracle and Divine Intervention in this country like we do now. It was so sad to hear our bribed Politicians and Civil Society Pressure Groups funded by Planned Parenthood convincing ill-informed Kenyans that the Catholic Church - which vehemently opposed these Clauses - was lying and that those evil Provisions, in fact, were not in the Draft Constitution. Instead, The Kenya Episcopal Conference Pastoral Letter, explicitly quoting these Provisions in the Draft Constitution, were trashed as nonsense by the euphoric Civil Society Groups - driven by the astronomical financial windfall they had reaped by doing the dirty work for the Death Merchants of America. The final words of our John Cardinal Njue - the Head of the Catholic Church in Kenya - a few weeks before the Referendum on the new Constitution, were not only ominous but chilling.  He told the Nation: “You shall pass this Constitution, but when it begins to be implemented, and you begin to realize the calamity you have brought upon yourselves, YOU SHALL REMEMBER THAT WE HAD WARNED YOU.” So as with America now, our country, too, is doomed. And your President - with Kenyan parentage - was excited to bequeath these horrors upon us.

@Mary42: When did the Church designate you as it’s Official Thunderbolt Hurler? Maybe I’m wrong, but I can’t get Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkires” out of my mind while re-reading your post.
Have you read the NT lately? It’d help. Wow, ... you couldn’t resist tossing in that cheap shot against Obama. How thorougly thoughtful.

Where in the NT does it suggest that to support the act of targeting the infant in the womb for annihilation, can possibly be anything other than one of the Sins That Cries to Heaven For Vengeance?

Jesus demands that the poor and the downtrodden be assisted, but nowhere does He specify that they must be assisted according to Big Government programs. Just because those are the only programs many happen to favor, they are *not* the method required by Christ, nor has the Church ever required them.

What clearly is required, however, is that the People of God refrain from targeting innocent infants for destruction, and that they resist with all their might the false and wicked arguments and excuses of those who make common cause with the purveyors of this abomination.

I have no doubt many who make excuses for those who support abortion-on-demand have read the NT many times over, and are very familiar with its contents. What I wish is that such persons would stop pretending that the NT says things it does not say, and that they would stop pretending that the NT does not say things it does say.

Scripture has it, “woe to all those who call evil good, and good evil!”

Yet the official platform of the Democratic Party of the U.S.A. characterizes the targeting of the infant in the womb for annihilation as “a woman’s right” - a good thing.

Let us not be led by those who have called down upon themselves woe, by deliberately turning their backs on the commands of the Lord and calling His commands, “evil” and calling the abomination of abortion “good.”

Such men are false guides, wolves in sheep’s clothing, whose words are of no better reliance than those of a serpent or a fox concerning the best way to put into practice the Lord’s commands to assist the needy, the widow, the orphan, and the stranger.

Listen instead to the words of those who serve the Lord unswervingly when they propose the ways in which to assist the poor and the needy. Listen instead to men of upright heart and of justice, not to men with “seared consciences,” as doers of murder are.

@Marion. There’s no doubt that the Democratic Party (unfortunately) has support for abortion rights in its platform. But where does it say “the targeting of the infant in the womb” ... is “a good thing”?
BTW, what’s so good, on the other hand, about decades worth of false promises by the GOP concerning efforts to overturn Roe in the Supreme Court? The Republican Dept. of Justice really showed its true committment on that issue.
What’s so good about gutting child nutrition programs millions of poor single moms will need to count on in order to feed the children we’re praying and pulling for them to give life to? What’s good about cutting into a lot of programs the poor and lower-working class families could use to help their get kids off to a good start—all so some wealthy folks could get yet another tax break they don’t need? At what point will the biggest attackers of the Democrats will finally begin to also resoundingly say “NO!” to yet another attempt by the GOP and wealthy to pick the pockets of 98 pct. of the American citizenry just so they and their kids can continue living as if God, himself saw fit for them to feel entitled to being born on third base with nobody covering home plate?
Well, somebody has to pay for that unfunded largesse for the wealthy as of last January, which President Obama went along with only to make sure the “99ers” wouldn’t see their unemployment cut when they could afford it the least. Ah, but know that the wealthy with their armies of lobbyists will never allow the sun to rise on the day when today’s (even crasser version) of FDR’s favorite villains, “economic royalists,” will truly have to pay their fair share.

@ Steven

“...what’s so good, on the other hand, about decades worth of false promises by the GOP concerning efforts to overturn Roe in the Supreme Court? The Republican Dept. of Justice really showed its true commitment on that issue.”

You are not in a position to hold the GOP responsible for the Supreme Court not overturning Roe v Wade when your pro-abortion, Democrat Party has done everything possible, including disgusting things like character assassination, to keep decent and solid, Constitutional based GOP appointments off the Court during Senate Confirmation hearings, and in turn, voted for every Democrat appointment to the court who have all been pro-aborts.  My disappointment with the GOP is that they won’t return the Democrat’s disgusting behavior with like behavior to Democrat appointees and by deny their appointments; but that is the difference between the party who doesn’t care about anything but winning (what’s 51,000,000 murdered babies); and the party that respects life even to the extent of treating Democrat appointees with respect.

And don’t go shoveling that bull about the poor being cared for by the pro-abortion Democrat Party.  All they have done is made life worse for the poor and low income for decades.  Now they are coming after the middle class with high gasoline and food prices, high unemployment, Obama’s personal job destruction using the National Labor Relations Board to deny Boeing to open the two billion dollar new plant they built in South Carolina starting two years ago and scheduled to open next month with 9,000 good paying new jobs because of a union complaint in the state of Washington, and using his administration to ignore court rulings by keeping the oil industry in the Gulf from operating again for “environmental excuses” while giving Brazil 2 billon dollars to open their deep water oil exploration.  I could go on and on with how this constitutionally corrupt Democrat Administration is intentionally set out to destroy freedom in America by recorded breaking deficit spending and job destruction (which reduces tax revenues needed to pay off the deficits) while endangering our very security.  There is a reason so many people don’t like the Democrat Party – THEY ARE GOING TO GET US KILLED!

@StillBelieve: “Not in a position”? C’mon, you really don’t mean to tell me I can only have an opinion if it happens to be the same as yours, or the GOP. Nah, I’ll let that slide. However, since you did bring up the So. Carolina situation, of which I’m familiar with, let’s take our positions in the starting gate.
Nikki Haley has made ab so lute ly no bones concerning her near rabid anti-union views and determination to do whatever it takes to stop every union from entering SC. Perhaps the only more rabidly anti-labor office outside of her’s can be found in Arkansas; that’s right Wal-Mart’s headquarters. (In WalMart’s global empire, the ONLY nation where it does not allow its employees to form a union is ... drumroll please?
USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! Ain’ that somethn’ folks. If you want to work for Walmart, and be represented by a union, AND receive a decent health benefit, all you have to do is get on a plane and hop on down to Capetown or Johannesburg, South Africa. South Africa left the dark ages within the last two decades, but Walmart’s head honchos want to keep Dixie from joining the rest of the human race when it comes to recognizing that workers are human beings, not commodity items as Iowa Congressman Steven King tried to explain a couple of weeks ago in the House chamber one night.
No doubt Nikki Haley would love to make sure all companies in SC follow WalMart’s example, as inspired by the illustrious wisdom of Steven King, that other horror story expert from Iowa, not Maine. At least the latter’s stories are truly fictional. Haley’s ideal means of dealing with unions is to “talk smack” to them. Isn’t it bad enough to watch dimestore cowboys like W and Rick Perry struttin’ without having to endure the likes of Mrs. Haley thinking she can play Margaret Thatcher with Sunbelt Swagger and touch “smack talk” directed at unions.
When it came to doing the “smack talkn’” Haley sent her Labor Secretary to do the talking which amounted to a clear violation of conservative principles, to say the least when she and her boss told Boeing not to talk the union representing the machinists. So much for staying out of private matters and avoidance of governmental interventionism. This, apparently is a woman who doesn’t have any qualms when it comes to letting the ends justify any means to get what she wants, or in this case, what she doesn’t: UNIONS. Hell, if she could post the SC National Guard and all the Citadel cadets guarding the state border crossings, she’d do it. Why she’d even see about getting legislation passed similar to Arizona’s infamous immigration “Your papers, please” law passed, applying only to those outside agitatin’ union reps.
The last time I checked, labor unions were private entities; perhaps even more private than big stockholder-owned companies like Boeing. Oh, and let’s not forget what Boeing probably takes in for its defense contract work. Things are getting a bit complicated, or could if the Feds decided to do some smack talking of their own.
What I don’t understand is this: why on earth would a governor want to risk the safety of her state’s citizens by insisting that Boeing hire only non-union machinists. The Air Force’s C5As have been known to drop some of their landing gear on some misfortunate homeowner/car owner’s house or car. If this happens to the the Air Force which has the strictest inspection standards to follow, what might the Gamecock’s residents around this new plant in North Charleston come to expect if non-labor machinists of relatively unknown quality and experience are hired to build these extremely complicated planes? Add to this factor, investor pressures to hurry things along, thus resulting in corners being cut, etc etc etc. With the machinists union, Boeing would be signing on the best trained machinists to get the planes built. The machinists unions are very picky about the people they send out to work on a plane, ship or project because of what they’ve already invested into their training. They have special schools for welders. I know this because one of my sons wants to get into one when he can obtain wheels to get there, some 20 miles away.
But Gov. Haley seems more interested in turning a blind eye to Boeing’s hardball workings with labor in Washington state and say, “Y’all come on down, that’s none of our bidness .. just set up shop…an open shop…and an open shop where anything can almost go, save for the most obvious regulations and basic regard for commonsense laws of safety. Well, on the other hand, there was that mine that blew up in West Virginia that was non-labor and, its top brass acted like regulations were things that if violated, the fines could be treated as the cost of doing business. Try telling that to the families of those whose lives were lost and torn from them. Oh well, crap happens, right?
How many letters of condolences does Gov. Smack’Talkin’ Haley really want to send out and how many funerals can she handle going to, save for the usual big ones held in a large auditorium where she can more or less fade back in with the rest of the policelebs? (At least Rudy Guliani had the manhood to attend many funerals though it was on his watch that NYC short-changed its Bravest and Finest by not buying the most up to date communications system which possibly could’ve saved many more Firemen and Cops at the WTC. Haley strikes me as a tough kibbutzin’ talker. She doesn’t strike me as one who’s tough enough to face the music and responsibility should parts fall from the new plane hurting and killing adults or worse, children. Imagine her facing a whole community wiped out by plane that crashed because a non-union machinist with relatively less experience and training failed to secure x number of key bolts or over tightened them to the breaking point during a takeoff or landng.
Welcome to capitalism Sunbelt style. It’s a good thing the Sunbelt and Bible Belt are pretty much one and the same in the Old South. If Haley and Boeing get their way, the folks down there will have plenty more reasons they’ll need to pray about.
As for positions, StillBelieve? I sure as heck hope nobody finds himself or herself standing below some “accident” that just broke off and is making its way down, down, down, thud…splat.

The present head of the Democratic Party, during the 2008 Presidential campaign famously stated that he would support the abortion of his own grandchildren if they arrived at an inopportune time.

(“I wouldn’t want my daughters punished with a baby,” then-Senator Obama’s exact words were, “if they made a mistake.”

The U.S. Democratic Party has long followed an unswerving policy of staunch support for the intentional targeting of the infant in the womb.

Steve, that was a lot of verbiage without addressing the fact that in America, un-elected political appointees don’t have the legal right to stop a legal company from moving wherever it wants to build a plant, and hire whoever they want to build something that somebody may want to buy.  The fact that Obama stacked a federal board to dictate where companies may go in business and who they can hire is not a free country anymore, but a dictatorship.  And Obama, with the money and support of union thugs, is a dictator who is shaking them down and taking them down if they don’t cooperate.  This is a DANGEROUS man, and for you to attacked elected officials of states to excuse such actions by dictator is scary.  Obama is over two and a half years into his administration and he has done nothing but make life in our country worst then it has ever been, and he is doing it intentionally – nobody could be that stupid even if he is a Democrat.

A man who, on the floor of his state legislature, supported the murdering of babies who survived their abortion is a man with a sick, sick mind and I wouldn’t put anything past him.  So far, Obama is proving me right.  The Catholic Church better wake up to what is happening in this country before it is too late for them.  The Democrats are already edging them out of the adoption business over refusing to allow adoption of children to homosexuals.  Imagine what is going to happen to the Church if the Democrats get homosexual marriages legalized.  They got abortion legalized and it has caused the murder of 51,000,000+ American babies.  If they win again with homosexual marriage, that is the end of our culture and country.  And that will give the crazy Muslims even more reasons to drop nuclear bombs on us.  The Democrats are going to get us KILLED!

It’s okay to threaten workers you have a contract with to say, “Hey, we’ll make an offer you can’t refuse ... either sign the deal, or watch us build a factory in a right-to-work state with an virulent anti-labor reputation and a very virulent anti-labor governor who’s willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the labor movement sleeps wit da fish. Capece?” Whatever happened to conservatives’ respect for contract law?
As for the so-called “dictator” being dangerous, at least the pals of one very “crazy” Muslim would admit President Obama is indeed “dangerous.” A “dictator,” well, they’d laugh at that but at least they know who finally put bin Laden out of business and has his men scurrying for cover like they never have before.
Are these your thoughts or that of Fox n’ Friends in the a.m.?,  Or Beck’s ... now there’s another genius, and an anti-Catholic one to boot. It’s late, but Nikki Haley’s record talks smack for itself and so does President Obama’s. While you and I can agree that the President’s record regarding abortion leaves much to be desired, so does Haley’s when it comes to labor.

Steven, you don’t have to ask me about “contact law,” your president answered that question when he screwed the Chrysler bond holders out of their money and gave it to his auto union buddies.  And today your president told Congress what he thinks of the Constitution; i.e., it’s there for everybody else but him.  The esteemed Harvard Constitutional lawyer who says he doesn’t know when “a baby should be given human rights” says the Constitutional law about sending troops into harms way does not apply to his actions of committing our armed forces to the Libya bombing, so he doesn’t have to tell Congress anything about what he’s doing there.  In addition, I’m an ex steel mill union worker as well as an ex Iron Worker; I know how unions work.  They care about nobody but themselves and will do just about anything to get their way - Wisconsin is a great example of the union “respect” for people, the law and decency.

I don’t think people owe the unions anything.  If unions want to run their own show they should start up their own businesses and run them any way they want.  Meanwhile, if they are working for somebody else they better do what they are told to do or out the door they go.  There is no place for thugs in the work place, especially when they don’t own the business.  And there is no room in this country for workers to tell businesses where they can open up plants and who they have to hire.

And for the Catholic Church hierarchy in the U.S. to be so subservient to unions is disgusting to see.  I can’t understand their support for one of the biggest financial contributors to the election of pro-abortion legislators.

“While you and I can agree that the President’s record regarding abortion leaves much to be desired, . . .”

Not at all! From from it! President Obama’s record on abortion is very much in line with the record of virtually every other Democrat who has been in office over the last 40 years, and very much in line with the Democratic party platform.

The only person who hadn’t received the message loud and clear that the Democratic party proudly and boastfully proclaims itself The Party of “Ah Support uh woh-man’s raht to chooze,” (as Al Gore famously hectored his opponent during one of the VP debates back in the 90’s) since the VietNam war was in full swing, would have to have been living on the planet Mars during the last forty.

Abortion, for the Democratic Pary, is “A Right” - a good thing. And the Bible says, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil.” Woe betide all those who say it is good to target the infant in the womb for annihilation. Woe betide all those who support them or make excuses for them. Woe betide the nation and the people who allow themselves to be turned from God’s commands to support those whose wickedness will bring woe on us.

@Marion: Woe to those reading Catholic proof texters. Even I admit I’m nowhere near as good as the average Protestant. We’re just either woefully inept at it or have this woeful habit of going over the top with it.
If it’s lots of “woe” you’re after, why don’t you take a peek at what happened to Joplin, Tuscaloosa and western Massachusetts. Oh yes, ask the people in cities and towns like Westfield, West Springfield, Springfield, East Longmeadow, Wilbraham, Munson and Brimfield ... all in a 30 mile swath in a state that rarely has any twisters ... how they might describe “woe” ... especially in light of the fact that their ex-gov Romney-who-turned-lately-to-the-prolife-cause (just a year or so before he ran for prez the first time after running for the Senate as a very pro-abortion rights candidate in several other elections during which he bombed to both Kennedy and Kerry)—said if he was president he’d not only turn down aid to Joplin, (as if it should be turned down in the first place) but he also promised he’d turn down his own state’s request. What else could we expect from a guy who wants to be the nominee from the party that went out of its way yesterday to cut from the WOMEN INFANTS AND CHILDREN program all the while later on defend subsidies to BIG AG late last night.
Woe to those who can’t bring themselves to say “Whoa!” to ever passing ever more welfare queen checks to BIG AG while BIG AG’s chief manure bucket carriers are ... as usual ... ever delighted to carry the buckets that would’ve been filled with milk for the WOMEN INFANTS AND CHILDRENS program way so they could fill it instead with campaign contributions.
Whoahhhhhhhh, howya like that kind of woe.
@StillBelieve: I’m an ex-state employee and NEA/MTA union member. When I was sick, the union went to bat for me and hit bigtime. When I wanted to take an unpaid leave of absence to take an internship at the National Journalism Center in Washington, no big fan of organized labor, not the least of which was the NEA then during the peak of the Nuclear Freeze nonsense, the local chapter of the NEA could’ve said sorry and I would’ve had to pass up the internship. But they instead went to bat for me. I’ll never forget that. They didn’t have to lift a finger to help me with my department heads, but they did.
I’m not, of course, qualified to say anything one way or another as to why you’re angry with the unions. I’ll agree there are some that are excellent and run by pros who know how to deal with people and others that still give labor that old “thug” (ya join or else) image. On the other hand, I sure as hell wouldn’t want to be a labor organizer in South Carolina; especially with that banshee as governor.
Hmmm, looks like Her Highness, the world’s wealthiest woman and Ozark Queen of the Union Busters, Helen Walton has a soulmate in Columbia, SC.
  Whoa…what a woeful pair indeed.

“Whoahhhhhhhh, howya like that kind of woe.”

I’m sorry, I had been under the impression that we were corresponding with someone who has respect for the things of God.

I see now I was mistaken. No one can write as you have done who had the slightest respect for God or for holy religion.

Just another low-life.

Good-bye, good luck, and have a nice life.

Steven, I’m not angry with unions.  I discovered I don’t need someone to speak for me concerning employment.  If I’m not satisfied with my job, I’ll go find another.

What I find disgusting is the Catholic bishops defending unions, especially public unions that have a direct line to our wallet via the legislators they buy who will raise our taxes to pay the public unions more money and give them more benefits, and we have no freedom in the process other than how we vote.  At least in private business unions I can decide to support them by not shopping at the story they are striking or I can shop there if I want.  The decision on who I give my money to is mine. With public employee unions, I don’t have that freedom - and I don’t like that.

Furthermore, public unions buy Democrat legislators who are mostly pro-abortion supporters.  Why the bishops are still supporting unions now a day over the general public makes no sense to me.  Where is the “common good?”  They are too greedy and bankrupting state governments.  Seventy to a hundred years ago, I could see their need, but today - it’s crazy.

The Fact of the Matter is that abortion is SATANIC, and anyone who supports, participates in or apologizes for this horrendous sin against God and against His Law have either a minor possession by an evil spirit or are fully possessed by diabolical forces.

You can see it in their ravenous words, their crazed way of expressing themselves, their absolute fury when people don’t agree that killing babies is virtuous, the error in their reasoning, and their desire to drag souls to hell.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I COMMAND THEE SATAN AND ALL YOUR EVIL SPIRITS TO GET THEE BEHIND ME!

@Marion: My dear, I do have plenty of respect for “the things of God,” but I prefer to think of them as the people of God, not just “things.” If you’ll recall, just before I used the words you seemed to take most umbrage to, I was referring to Big AG, as in Big Agribusiness which was busy working hard to make sure its own subsidies for but a relatively small, but influential farmers in some districts a very large Sunbelt state smack in the middle of the country.
I don’t know about you, but I find it more pleasing in the sight of God to be on the side of the littlest folks who need food assistance the most rather than siding with the fat cats who do n’t n eed t his help in the least. Now if you still want to consider that the thinking of a “low life” person, whom you really don’t know, but found necessary to lay a whopping judgment on for good measure I presume, well that’ll be your schtick.
In the meantime, I’ll be siding with fellow low lifers who are prolife for everybody, regardless   whether or not they happen to be wealthy or poor. If you want to side with the evah propah neo-economic royalists of our times, by all means go ahead. You’ll be right at home with them.

In this post get a life village of victims of handlers of people, i propose the first ever ALL-HOUND ABORTION CLINIC .  It is a collection place for outrageous human-handled and abused animals where pregnant animals can be aborted before further abuse of those litters.People that speak with forked tongue to frighten, discourage, and generally bring attention to the fact that humans have been abused by lousy people who tinker with genetics, alter or distort the natural human order in mankind are mad; pseudopedifiles only present their side of this terrible abusive ordination for one purpose and that is splitting up the family to the design of an animal abuser.  If one social worker placed a known sex-offender into a custody battle by the judge of family court, obviously there will be a potential for further degrees of abuse, like murder/

You are not in a place to keep the GOP accountable for the Superior Judge not knocking over Roe v Go when your pro-abortion, Democrat Celebration has done everything possible, such as dreadful things like personality killing, to keep reasonable and strong, Constitutional based GOP sessions off the Judge during Us senate Verification proceedings, and in convert, elected for every Democrat consultation to a legal court who have all been pro-aborts.

The only individual who had not obtained the concept noisy and obvious that the Democratic celebration happily and boastfully claims itself The Party of “Ah Assistance uh woh-man’s raht to chooze,” (as Al Gore popularly hectored his challenger during one of the VP controversy returning in the 90’s) since the VietNam war was arrived, would have to have been residing on the earth Mars during the last 40.
