Our Nobel Peace Prize Winning President Barack Obama (“Winner: 2009 Prize for Being the Darling of the Euro Left”) has, yet again betrayed the suckers who took him seriously as some sort of Messianic Bringer of Peace.
First, it was the move (on the heels of the Nobel Prize) to increase troop levels in order to prop up a failed third world narco state with no clear plan of what to do besides get Americans killed in pointless battles. That “plan” continues and will continue forever, according to Sec’y of Defense Robert Gates, who frankly admitted that all the twaddle about “When they stand up, we’ll stand down” is a load of bushwah when he plainly stated, “We’re not leaving Afghanistan prematurely. In fact, we’re not ever leaving at all.”
Then, in a move that even the overreaching Bush Administration refused to countenance for itself, Obama voted himself the power to murder anybody on planet Earth, civilian or foreign, whom he deemed (by his all-knowing power) to be an “enemy combatant”. Just declare a person an enemy of the state and order their death. No evidence, arrest, trial, or conviction necessary. What could possibly go wrong when a Caesar, er, President has such power? But no worries, because Obama says his power to murder citizens he deems undesirable is a “state secret” and therefore cannot be investigated by prying subjects who want to know if Caesar is entirely motivated by the desire to, as he always puts it, “keep us safe.”
You might think that would be enough to get his stooges to furrow the brow and wonder if he’s really altogether trustworthy and fully in command of the whole “living in a democratic republic of ordered liberty” concept. But now in yet another breathtaking betrayal, Obama has declared that the US will support nations which make a habit of kidnapping children and forcing them to fight in some of the bloodiest battleground in the world—just so long as they are doing it to support our Grand War on Terror.
The phenomenon of child soldiers, like genocide, slavery and torture, seems like one of those crimes that no nation could legitimately defend. Yet the Obama administration just decided to leave countless kids stranded on some of the world’s bloodiest battlegrounds.
The administration stunned human rights groups last month by sidestepping a commitment to help countries curb the military exploitation of children. Josh Rogin at Foreign Policy reported that President Obama issued a presidential memorandum granting waivers from the Child Soldiers Prevention Act to four countries: Chad, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan and Yemen. The memo instructed Secretary of State Hilary Clinton that it is in our “national interest” to continue extending military aid to those countries, despite their failure to comply with the rules Congress passed and George W. Bush signed in 2008.
One wonders how long it can be before the very last stooge and sucker who believed this man’s messianic hype will figure out what an empty suit he is. It is an utter disgrace to our country that we should excuse this monstrous barbarism. And it is beyond disgusting that this, like so many other outrages Caesar is practicing on us human cattle is being sold as “fighting terror”.
Enough!

Mark: I understand your concerns. This does seem to contradict the administration’s much-touted commitment to human rights. But I think you’re failing to see that, in this multicultural and relativistic Brave New World Order, both individuals AND nations must be free to determine for themselves exactly when “meaningful personhood” begins. We simply cannot impose our current view (“human personhood begins whenever mommy says so”) on other nations. In this matter, as in all others, President Obama knows best.
Yeah, but didn’t our benevolent king get a health care bill signed into law that will now force all of us to purchase private health insurance regarless of health, wealth, or creed? You see? Viola! Everyone is covered, just like the Russian Christians were forced to fight or face execution in WWII.
For a man who voted against “Babies born alive protection act” on both the federal AND state level (and encouraged fellow opponents of said act in IL to vote “present” so as to minimize the political fall out but still assure failure of passage), this ultimately comes as no surprise. Personally, the more I learn, the creepier he seems. Eewww!
While I do not agree with almost all of President Obama’s policies, I think in this matter you are wrong. How do you know so much about our war on terror? If you have inside information, it is your duty to make it known. Otherwise, shut up and leave the war to the experts. Otherwise, we may see another 3,000 innocent people murdered again in our country.
Wow, Kathy. Just… wow. Child soldiers are just fine? Wow.
OK I am reading this article and then I come down to the comments and I see that Jeffrey Dahlmer is still alive and well in a person called Bill Bean. People like you scare the hell out of me. You have no compassion or empathy outside of yourself. How is it you can see it OK to utilize ‘CHILDREN’ as a puppet in a war. Just because our morals and ethics are different for another culture does not mean that their beliefs are correct or even HUMAIN!!! And as for Kathy’s post about “THE EXPERTS” Try waking up and see that it is the “EXPERTS that is in constant progress of killing us off with their CHEMTRAILS of Aluminum and Berium in our AIR, FOOD and WATER. What makes you think that they care about another 3000 people being killed in a war when they are busy killing MILLIONS WORLDWIDE!!!!!
WAKE UP AMERICA. Things are not what they intend for us to see. Are we that blind we can’t see evil in our face. GOD HELP US ALL!
Barb:
Billy was speaking very much tongue-in-cheek. Kathy, however, was quite serious in defending Obama’s support for the use of child soldiers.
When Our Lord told those gathered around him that one stone would not be left upon another…and that wars and rumors of wars will occur. Those listening knew that the Assyrians conquered Israel, Babylonians conquered them and Judah, Persians conquered Babylonians, Greeks conquered Persians, and Romans conquered Greeks. What conquered the Romans? Well, the senate abdicated their authority to the Consul, Caesar; over extension of armies, over taxation, failure to see foreign and domestic threats that gradually, debauchery of metropolitan areas that led to demise of families. Hmmm?
gradually whittled away infrastructure…
Mark,
Good rant.
Hope you feel better.!
Facts seem correct.
Don’t know if it would inspire anyone to act,
either with prayer or civic duty.
A good rant, though ....

Kathy,
Leave the war to the experts. At the strategic policy level WE ARE THE EXPERTS. Most people with a good high school education (Although most people don’t get a good highschool education), a bit of life knowledge, and a sound moral conscience have the brains to think and make value judgments like these. The problem is Obama does not have a sound moral compass, he is steeped in relativistic philosophy and has adopted an appraoch to life that casts off those not powerful, those who can not help him and those who may hurt his standing.
So what I’m hearing is that Obama is willing to destroy the credibility of America in the eyes of these four countries about our sincerity in abolishing child soldiers, because it is in our “national interest” to continue aiding these countries. I can’t think of one reason to give any of these four (Chad, DRC, Yemen, and Sudan) any military aid even if they did not use child soldiers. Also Kathy, I doubt that these countries would help alot in a fight against terror. It seems from the few websites I have read that each of these countries has terrorists and training camps and America is having to go in and take them out or train the nationals to do it. However, America really should have put its foot down and said you can’t fight terrorists with child soldiers. Maybe an incentive to give more money if they stop using child soldiers may work better.
My calendar shows Nov. 22nd. Mark, this is not an April 1 Joke, is it?
Some actions by “W” Bush (IMHO) were not defensible, but this article, if true, takes the cake!

It’s true. Our Nobel Peace Prize Winner supports the use of child soldiers. Makes you want to stand up and salute, don’t it?
I am feeling an overwhelming urge to vent. Where on earth did the people who voted for this terrible man leave their brain cells in 2008?!?! The signs were everywhere that this is what he’s all about.
We knew about his cruelty to infants born alive even though they were supposed to be dead. We knew enough about his past Marxist associations to be asking a lot of questions. We observed him refuse to give any REAL information about himself and what he’s all about. We knew that the only thing he’d ever done was write two books about himself and work with rabble-rousing community organizers.
How could any thinking person have voted for him? I refuse to believe that so many people were simply voting against the sitting president (who wasn’t even part of the election!)or were swayed by his skin color or ability to read a teleprompter so smoothly.
Now - how are we going to undo his damage?!?!
And yet we wonder why America is falling to bits.
Theresa60640,
The election of 2008 was only good in that the Marxist disease needed to run its course, and be seen for what it is. Obama is mostly a symptom of this disease. McCain was not the cure.
Mark, I love you for writing this. That’s it. Over and out.
