‘Look with confidence to the future, for Christ is risen and has changed the direction of history.’
COMMENTARY: Whatever your reason for wanting to become Catholic, run with it. It’s your road sign pointing you in the right direction.
The lack of artificial lighting during the Easter vigil can be a powerful aid to prayer, raising the question of why this practice isn’t done more regularly.
In the Risen Christ, ‘evil has been robbed of its power,’ the Holy Father said at the April 16 Mass.
COMMENTARY: The Easter vigil is a 17-course banquet of the most important lessons God has taught in the history of salvation.
COMMENTARY: How fitting that the quintessential man of the liturgy should be a child of the Paschal Triduum, the summit of the liturgical year.
“The Church is holy: the Most Holy God is her author; Christ, her bridegroom, gave himself up to make her holy; the Spirit of holiness gives her life. Since she still includes sinners, she is ‘the sinless one made up of sinners.’” (CCC 1867)
Pope Francis delivered a homily for the Easter Vigil Mass on April 11, 2020.
