The head of the world’s largest religious media network, which includes CNA and the National Catholic Register, Warsaw delivered the keynote address at the conclusion of ‘Journalism in a Post-Truth World,’ co-sponsored by EWTN News and Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Three speakers who work in the journalism industry were panelists at the conference being held at the Museum of the Bible in Washington.
The March 10-11 conference, which will be held at Washington’s Museum of the Bible and via livestream, aims to confront the challenges facing Catholics in the journalistic world in a society that is increasingly antagonistic toward Christianity, Catholicism and even truth itself.
Shannon Mullen spent 33 years at the Asbury Park Press in New Jersey, and comes to the Register via Catholic News Agency.
According to the National Human Rights Commission of Mexico, between 2000 and 2018, a total of 134 journalists were murdered and 20 have been forcibly disappeared.
