Archbishop Imbamba thanked Pope Leo XIV for accepting the invitation to visit Angola.
'The transformation of society begins within the home, since the family is the fundamental cell of society,' the archbishop said.
The program also includes prayer, biblical formation, and catechesis.
Angola’s first elections in 1992 were marred by violence, leading to a civil conflict that ended in 2002.
Pilgrims are set to arrive in the village of Muxima on Aug. 29.
