Religious America

A new Gallup poll shows that nearly two-thirds of Americans believe the overall health of the United States is “heavily dependent” on its spiritual health. About 77% say even the nation’s economy is dependent on its spiritual well-being. Gallup also asked about religion in the workplace and found that 64% of workers say religious expressions are either tolerated or encouraged at work. Meanwhile 82% said they believe in God, another 13% in a “universal spirit or higher power.” And 58% say success in life is “pretty much determined” by “religious and spiritual forces.”
