Jane Adolphe

Jane Adolphe, with degrees in civil law (LLB/BCL) and canon law (JCL/JCD), is a professor of law at Ave Maria School of Law, in Naples, Florida, with an expertise in international human rights law. From 2003 to 2011, she worked for the Secretariat of State’s Section for Relations for States at the Vatican as an outside legal adviser for Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Then in 2011, during the final years of Pope Benedict VI’s papacy, she served as an internal expert working in Vatican City State, and continued in this position into the papacy of Pope Francis, until her resignation in 2020.
