March 7, 2014 - "Station Churches" in Rome / Catholics Come Home

On “Register Radio” this week, Jeanette De Melo talks with papal biographer, George Weigel, about a 4th century tradition: visiting the “Station Churches” in Rome during Lent—a tradition the North American College is keeping alive in the Eternal City. Also, Dan Burke talks with Tom Peterson of Catholics Come Home about Goodconfession.com, a powerful new initiative to promote the sacrament of reconciliation while calling Catholics on the edge to come home to the Church.

Coronavirus, Catholic Schools (Aug. 1)

The COVID-19 pandemic has re-emerged as a major health crisis in the United States and around the world. How is the Church responding, and what can be done to keep parishioners safe as they worship? We talk with Dr. Timothy Flanigan, a Catholic deacon and infectious disease specialist at Brown University. Also, we’ve had a lot of news this week on Catholic schools, including an important op-ed by several important Church leaders reminding us that Catholic schools are worth saving. We talk with Register contributor Andrea Picciotti-Bayer.
