The grant money would have supported job training and education programs based in West Virginia for students of The College of St. Joseph the Worker, which is based in Steubenville, Ohio, and offers a bachelor’s degree in Catholic studies along with the trade lessons.
With a focus on both faith and practical skills, new Catholic colleges are providing an alternative to traditional liberal arts institutions.
