
Pro-Life Movement Steps Up Ground Efforts to Defeat Ohio Abortion Amendment

To get their language on the ballot, FPF must gather nearly 900,000 signatures from Floridians by Feb. 1, 2024. Should the group succeed, the vote would take place on general Election Day, Nov. 5, 2024.
Although the pro-abortion ballot initiative, titled Issue 1, is guaranteed to appear on the Nov. 7 ballots, the Ohio Supreme Court will need to decide what language voters will see when they enter the ballot box to cast their vote.
Huge event is planned for Aug. 6, the feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord.
Referendum votes in New York and Maryland are already slated for Nov. 5, 2024.
This year’s outcome in the Buckeye State could be a bellwether for similar battles elsewhere in 2024.
The Nov. 7 amendment proposal would amend Article I of the Ohio Constitution, which establishes the state’s Bill of Rights. It would add another section to the Bill of Rights to include a right to 'reproductive freedom.'
The state is among several that will face a ballot test in the midterm elections.
