“Paul, a prisoner for Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved and our co-worker, to Apphia our sister, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church at your house. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Philemon 1–3)
COMMENTARY: The apostle’s sermon in the Areopagus was one of Christendom’s greatest missionary achievements.
We worship a God who became man, suffered death and was buried — and rose again from the grave.
The notion of ‘once saved, always saved’ is false and presumptuous. Mortal sin is possible — even for believers.
