A letter was sent to the Vatican Sept. 17. It was signed by the 15 academics who comprise the executive council and the executive committee of the American Catholic Philosophical Association.
The archbishop acknowledged the recent conflict that has engulfed the pontifical institute, following the approval of new statutes for the school in July, and reiterated the Pope’s stated aims for its reform.
