
Knights of Columbus Reassure Ukrainians: ‘You’re Not Alone’

Kelly praised the March for Life that takes place in Washington D.C. each year and in cities across the nation, calling for respect for the unborn.
In his remarks — which he is giving for the first time in his role as Supreme Knight — he plans to inspire the Knights to step into the breach, which he says is the now-post-Roe world.
Kelly explained the two major components of the initiative that the Knights of Columbus have launched so far to assist during this war, serving both refugees fleeing to Poland, and those Ukrainians left behind.

The Knights of Columbus, the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization, has over 2 million members in 16,000 councils worldwide.
Keeping with the theme of Saint Joseph, Kelly focused on two of the saint’s roles, first as “guardian of the family” and also as the “guardian of the truth.”
“Surely,” said Archbishop Lori, “we could do nothing that would please Blessed Michael McGivney more than this!”
Patrick Kelly intends to build on the strong legacy of Carl Anderson, his predecessor at the fraternal organization, with a focus on evangelizing and strengthening families in their faith.
Kelly has over a decade of experience in senior positions with the Knights of Columbus’ charity and advocacy work and in managing their multi-billion-dollar insurance and investment businesses, the organization said
