In the course of the in-flight press conference, the Pope also addressed the Russo-Ukrainian War and Ukraine’s right to defend itself, relations between the Holy See and China, and critiques that participation in the Kazakh interreligious congress risks indifferentism.
Out of the six questions that the Pope was asked during the in-flight press conference, he spent the most time speaking about the topic of abortion and the reception of Communion by politicans who support abortion.
Describing the religious leader as someone with wisdom and prudence, Pope Francis commented that wise people are everywhere, because “God’s wisdom has been spread all over the world.”
In his remarks, the Holy Father reflected on refugees, the ordination of women, ecumenism, the crisis in Venezuela, secularization, human trafficking, and his possible upcoming international trips.
