Christian marriage is a lifelong commitment oriented to God. If you’re thinking about marriage, consider how to identify a worthy Christian spouse — then, become that person.
COMMENTARY: As the world endures the worst global sickness in a century and millions are enduring truly difficult times, those words take on added meaning.
Marriage is ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of children. Contrary to the common clichéd advice, young couples who know this know exactly what they are doing.
If priests are not regularly championing the goodness and the indissolubility of marriage, the Church and her members suffer.
“The most persuasive witness of the blessing of Christian marriage is the good life of Christian spouses and the family,” Francis said on April 29.
