'As the Office of the Attorney General, it is our duty to ensure that doctors meet the standard of care. In our opinion, Dr. Bernard fell short in this situation,' Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita stated.
Known as SB2, the legislation provides for a tax exemption for an adopted child, cuts the state’s tax on children’s diapers, caps the gas tax, and increases the adoption tax credit.
Opponents to the court’s decision have said it restricts the rights of parents to be involved in their children’s medical decisions.
