Ohio pro-life advocates look to Michigan’s recent push for taxpayer-funded abortion as the Buckeye State faces an amendment that would enshrine a right to an abortion in the state Constitution.
SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement: “Life is winning in the Palmetto State and in hearts and minds nationwide.”
The law was passed by Iowa’s majority Republican Legislature in a one-day special session on July 11.
'As the Office of the Attorney General, it is our duty to ensure that doctors meet the standard of care. In our opinion, Dr. Bernard fell short in this situation,' Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita stated.
The Texas Catholic Conference supported the legislation.
Gov. Henry McMaster had signed the bill Feb. 18, calling it “a major step forward in the pro-life movement here in South Carolina.”
