The Vatican released the message ahead of the fourth World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly, which takes place on July 28 this year, in which the Pope said: ‘Let us show our tender love for the grandparents and the elderly members of our families.’
A total of 6,000 faithful will arrive this week for a special gathering with the Holy Father.
Their home had a particular warmth to it that would draw folks in, but it can’t fully be attributed to the fire in the hearth. The embers of their love were always burning, and they’d confidently share the source: their Lord and God.
