COMMENTARY: With the election of Josh Shapiro as governor and John Fetterman as Robert Casey’s partner in the U.S. Senate, the position of Pennsylvania as a pro-life state is a thing of the past.
Fetterman campaigned as a radically pro-abortion candidate, voicing his support for the extreme Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), which would ban all limits on the procedure.
In answer to another question on the abortion issue, Fetterman’s opponent, Mehmet Oz, who is running as a pro-life Republican, again said he would not vote in favor of a national 15-week abortion ban proposed by South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.
