The Mass of ordination will take place June 15 at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
The statue appeared to have been struck in the face with a hammer. Light fixtures along a walkway in the garden were also shattered.
The abuse was alleged to have taken place decades before in another diocese 'prior to his ordination to the priesthood.'
The pilgrimage will mark the 15th anniversary of Summorum Pontificum, Pope Benedict XVI’s 2007 apostolic letter that liberalized the Church’s traditional liturgical rites.
The district lifted its indoor mask mandate for most other activities on Feb. 28, although schools, nursing homes, and medical facilities had to remain masked.
The archdiocese’s updated mask-optional policy only applies to children enrolled in its schools located in Maryland.
The Mass dispensation will be lifted in six dioceses beginning June 26-27.
The Archdiocese of Washington’s suit complained that churches were given additional restrictions on capacity compared to retail establishments, including restaurants.
The installation Mass was presided over by apostolic nuncio Archbishop Christoph Pierre and attended by cardinals, bishops and other clergy.
