Pro-life House members are calling for autopsies and a full investigation into whether federal laws were broken in the late-term abortions of five babies whose remains were discovered by pro-life activists in Washington, D.C.
The secular pro-life group Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) originally obtained the remains of the aborted babies in March 2022.
Other signatories of the letter include Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, CatholicVote, National Right to Life Committee, Live Action, PAAU, American Center for Law and Justice, and Students for Life Action.
Secular pro-life group Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising has called for an investigation to determine if the babies were killed in violation of the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003.
Pro-life groups have expressed concern that the manner in which the babies died violated federal law.
During the babies’ burial, Father Kuchinsky said he recited burial prayers, blessed the grave, and placed a crucifix on it, marking where they lie.
