At the conclusion of its diocesan investigation, the Diocese of Metchusen, N.J., has sent documents related to the cause for sainthood of Mother Mary Angeline Teresa McCrory to the Vatican’s Congregation for the Causes of Saints.
Mother Angeline, who died in 1984 at the age of 91, was the foundress of the Carmelite Sisters For the Aged and Infirm in Germantown, N.Y.
According to this article posted at MyCentralJersey.com, Mother Angeline’s cause was launched following the report of a possible miracle attributed to her intercession. It involves an unborn child in Oakland, Calif., who was diagnosed with a genetic abnormality and who was subsequently born with a much less pronounced defect than expected, after the baby’s parents prayed to Mother Angeline to intercede for their child.
