Why Do Catholics ...?

I have heard that, in order to gain eternal life at the time of death, one should say two Our Fathers, two Glory Bes and two Hail Marys daily for five years to be assured of going directly to heaven. Who was the saint who received this message?

“I know of no legitimate source for that,” says Colin Donovan, vice president for theology at EWTN, “and it is superstitious to suggest that, by itself, apart from the conversion and growth in charity needed for holiness, such a practice would ensure going directly to heaven.”
